Hmmm, I really really like the Stantae series, but I have my reservations about the new art/music style. The enemies look fine, but the 2.5D world reminds me of Lost Winds (in a bad way), and frankly I just don't think the cartoon/kid style suits the main character.
Do I spot some Photoshop mistakes on the 1DS, nah those are just separate plastic pieces.
But seriously, Nintendo needs something like this so that players can enjoy their games on the big-screen. It could somehow connect to the Wii U, and perhaps even allow 3D TV owners to experience the games you know, in true 3D. Make it so Nintendo!
Perhaps they're just doing minor bug fixes, laying the groundwork for 2DS connections, and. . . you know. . . checking what type of system you're using so that the app can replace all the "3DS" text with "2DS" if necessary.
"From 12:00 am PST on 28th June to 11:59PM PST on 30th June, you can earn 20 bonus Club Nintendo coins when you purchase any Virtual Console game from the Wii U eShop" Ugh, and I just bought Yoshi earlier in the week!
As for character reductions, the 3DS version will probably have less-textured, lower-poly models. . . but seeing as the hand-held's display is considerably smaller, it probably won't be such an issue.
I agree with this 100%! Starting with NSMB.Wii, I felt that the Super maria games had lost their edge. Galaxy 2 was great, but even that game would've benefited from more interesting game-play mechanics.
That said, I know Mario sells systems, but perhaps if Nintendo held off on milking the Mario platformer genre, and instead focused on other series, like, oh say Star Fox or F-Zero, there would be a stronger love for future entries in the Mario platformer series.
In short, I think that the Zelda and Metroid IPs have been doing a good job, spacing out their titles, and maybe Nintendo should do the same for Mario platformers.
I ended up missing the first half of it or so, and was finally able to watch the rest in stuttering 240p. . .And then I re-watched the whole thing on YouTube.
@ThomasBW84 "Terry Cavanagh has forged a reputation as a master of simple concepts, and this gives the player just one main ability traverse the world — to flip gravity." I think the word "to" may be a bit out of place.
I met Iwata last night around 10:00 PM (a little over 24 hours ago), to which I happily snatched a pink Rhythm Heaven piece. Sigh. Only one more to go for that board. (I've completed about half of them).
I just wish I came across more people who actually took their 3DS out with them; I mean, that IS the main draw between hand-helds and consoles (am I right?).
"He went on to claim that only 5% of players made use of the feature on their current system"
Maybe in the last month, but these things matter a lot more at the beginning of a console's lifespan.
As for me, I'm officially playing DKCR in Wii mode, but lately, the Rayman Legends Challenges App has been more aggressively cutting into my gaming time.
I agree. Also, I would think that the smoke around 5:02 would be harmful to the instruments, but perhaps it's juts an after-effect (seeing as it suddenly disappears around 5:23).
Regardless, I think the brother in the darker shirt is having a lot more fun.
Currently, I'm using a 32GB SanDisk Extreme class 10/UHS 1 and I have to say, I'm nowhere near using it all up! (ok, about 7 GB used) Some games even seem to load a bit faster than off a regular cart!
At the time, stories of 64 and 128 GB cards were rare, and success was somewhat marginal. Looking back, I don't regret my purchase, even though I seem to have more demos than actual games! XD

Re: StreetPass Relay Issues Reported in North America
Nope, I've never got a Streetpass relay hit.

Make it so Nintendo!
Re: There's a Shiny New StreetPass Mii Plaza Update in Europe
I seriously doubt it's anything astounding.

Re: "No Plans" For Ambassador Program Following Wii U Price Cut
Oh well, that's the price I got my nearly-new Wii U for around launch, so I really can't complain.
Re: Weirdness: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is Beaten in Under 20 Minutes
Why does this remind me of the Donkey Kong arcade rivalry!

Re: Competition Winners: The #3DSreasons That Will Receive a Copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf
@winners Congrats!!
(if they ever have this in NA, I think I'd stand a chance)
Re: Club Nintendo Rewards Updated for July
Let's see. I already have Aura-Aura Climber and so the only one which slightly catches my fancy is Star Fox 64.
That said, I think I'll hold off this time.
Re: Investor Approval Rating For Satoru Iwata Drops To 77.26 Precent
I think Iwata mostly makes the right decisions for the company, it's just that sometimes, there is no 'right' answer.
True, more commercials and promotions would help, but at the same time, I think the ignorant consumer's are to blame.

"From 12:00 am PST on 28th June to 11:59PM PST on 30th June, you can earn 20 bonus Club Nintendo coins when you purchase any Virtual Console game from the Wii U eShop"

Re: Nintendo Teases Majora's Mask Remake Again, Again
Was it a Happy-Mask Salesman chuckle?
Re: Kokuga Officially Confirmed for Western Release
Somehow, it kind of reminds me of the coin minigame in Super Smash Bros Brawl which would let you win trophies.
Re: Nintendo Download: 20th June (North America)
:Sigh: I was hoping for Shantae, but with a lineup like this, I really can't complain.
Re: Steampunk Puzzle Platformer Teslagrad Looks Gorgeous, And It's Coming To Wii U
I may need to keep an eye on this.
Re: Check Out How Mega Man Looks On The 3DS Version Of Super Smash Bros.
Quite frankly, I prefer the Wii U design, but, to be honest, both look superb!
Re: Weirdness: If Only Monster Hunter Was Released on the Game Boy
Awesome! I'm surprised @pixelman wasn't the first to comment!
Re: Review: Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (3DS eShop / Game Gear)
I was hoping this was the genesis version. :Sigh:
Oh well, good game nonetheless.
Re: Third-Party Characters in Smash Bros. to be Kept to a Minimum
Send Sonic in, and I'm good.
As for character reductions, the 3DS version will probably have less-textured, lower-poly models. . . but seeing as the hand-held's display is considerably smaller, it probably won't be such an issue.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th June (North America)
I may eventually get Mighty Switch Force 2, but I'd like to play the first, Hyper-Drive Edition first on my Wii U.
I also might pickup Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (a friend of mine's an addict).
Re: Poll: Which Wii U E3 Game Has Impressed You the Most?
MK8 with the Smash Bros. as a close second.

Seriously, does anyone remember Tank! Tank! Tank! ?
Re: Eiji Aonuma and Hideki Konno Wander Into The StreetPass Mii Plaza
Thanks guys, I got Aonuma last night.
After reading this article, I turned on my 3DS, and Konno was there in a matter of seconds!

"Imagines carefully writing a message, only for the next player to throw it back into the ocean."
Re: Hideki Konno Delves Into Mario Kart 8
I'm actually more excited about this than the new Smash Bros!!! I really wish I could try it out.
Anti-gravity is really awesome, but I think they should add support for Pro Controller users.

I don't think I know enough about the new Mario Kart, or Super Mario 3D to properly cast my vote.
Re: Limited Super Mario Accessory Box Reward On Club Nintendo Has Sold Out Already
For some reason, the Super Mario Accessory Box reminds me of decorated diaper boxes.

I knew this title would fetch a high review score, but a 10/10? WOW!!
Prepares for 30¢ transaction.
Re: Review: Star Wars Episode I: Racer (Nintendo 64)
I remember this. Great little racer, I think I still have it.
. . .despite this, I think I never bothered to play more than the first course.
Re: European Gamers Bemoan PAL Version of Super Metroid
I wouldn't say that it is game-breaking, but, if it were me, I would find the clutter quite bothersome.
Re: Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures Chomping Its Way To Wii U And 3DS This Year
@HeatBombastic I was just wondering what became of the TV series.
Re: Rumour: The Recent Wii U System Update Has Boosted Clock Speeds
At launch, people did say that the console's power supply was designed to handle a load many times higher than what the system was drawing.
. . . so, while Nintendo could have boosted the clock speeds, I'm highly skeptical that they would boost it that much in a single update.
Re: Pachter: Nintendo Made The Right Decision In Skipping E3 This Year
I have to agree, not a popular decision, but indeed a practical one.
Re: CNN Money: Nintendo Is "Tone Deaf" To Industry Trends And Has "Lost Touch With Reality"

Nuff said. . . .Oh, and CNN is COMPLETELY WRONG!!!
It's good to get that off of my chest.

Re: Review: Super Mario World (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
This is one of those reviews where you didn't even have to view this page to know the verdict, the title alone is a strong enough hint!
10/10 and never doubted it for a second.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Planning a 3D Mario Release on Wii U Before October
If they do release it this year, I can see a(n) "[Insert game name here] 2" towards the latter portion of the Wii U's lifespan.
Re: Nintendo Sends Direct Wii U Marketing Message To Wii Owners
Maybe they won't be so quick to cut WiiConnect 24 after-all.
Re: Talking Point: It's Time for a 3DS Storage Upgrade From Nintendo
