Kafka is well known for writing Metamorphosis - a novella about a character who transforms into a physically different creature. Just leaving this note here for anyone who perhaps didn't see the connection to Kirby's transformations.
Skyward Sword HD has been worth the money for me and I'm really enjoying it so far Glad so many others are taking interest in this Zelda game as it has some brilliant dungeons and possibly the best final boss fight of the series!
I managed to get a Super Famicom style one to match my UK SNES just after orders opened at 4pm - I was pleasantly surprised that the website didn't crash and the order was processed first time
It's probably speculators believing Nintendo has peaked and collecting their profit on their shares, rather than long-term investors changing their view of the company. This is good because it's more like a valuation correction after the bubble caused by the gaming demand during the pandemic. And it's good for Nintendo as it plans to buy back shares.
Definitely feel Nintendo are missing out on more compact handheld gaming opportunities. Waiting to see what the games and reviews are like for PlayDate before buying one. It looks promising, especially with its free dev kit supporting anyone to make games for it
Played Raji at launch and was so disappointed I actually asked Nintendo for a refund (which they didn't issue). Really excited to see the revamped gameplay, new voiceover, and hopefully some improved performance and presentation. Definitely will give Raji another try when the update is released
I played the Wii version back in the day and disappointed that bad game designs are still in there, like fighting the same imprisoned boss 3 times, so will give this version a miss
@Schizor88 lucky you finding that bargain for the double pack yes of course if you can find genuine carts at reasonable prices it is worth buying them, but I've seen Aria of Sorrow being sold between £100-200 on eBay and that's what I meant by inflated prices. FYI I've bought games from eBay where the seller believed carts were genuine and when they arrived found them to be repros. Had to request returns and refunds and there were several orders where the seller didn't respond to refund requests. That was a lot of time and hassle. I think if you are experienced in spotting fake carts and finding reliable sellers then you can indeed pick up good items at decent prices.
@GameManAdvance hey, avoid trying to buy GBA carts to play these - I went down that route earlier in the year and would not recommend it. Unfortunately there's so many fake GBA carts being sold on eBay and genuine carts are sold at inflated prices. At least wait to see if this collection is released, and I am confident it will after the success of the first castlevania connection.
@Dpishere these the second and third of the GBA games are made by the same guy who created Bloodstained, Symphony of the Night, and the three DS Castlevanias. Aria of Sorrow in particular is one of the best Castlevanias.
The price of first party games is like it is not just because of the software, but also other factors like the cost of marketing, global distribution, and retailers margins. If Nintendo wanted to sell a cheaper game it would probably do that via digital only sales and distribution, like DLCs.
It just reflects the culture of the media companies who voted, so not to be taken seriously. Nintendo won E3 for me and I'm delighted about Metroid Dread, Zelda Game & Watch, and update on BotW2!
@DrJoson Check out the storyline for Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night - Maria, Richter, and Alucard are there. Alucard went into a deep sleep and awoke years later.
Probably due to the hardware manufacturing and maintenance of multiple systems. It's a lot easier for Nintendo to just focus on Switch and its successors. I do wish they would make higher quality emulators and offer restored audio for classic games, but it doesn't seem to be a priority for them.
I found Age of Calamity just boring because it's same gameplay over and over. It doesn't feel like a Zelda game, rather a Musou game with a Zelda skin, so I'm thinking of selling my physical copy of it and will pass on the expansion passea.
Currently paying Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance for the first time and enjoying it much more than I ever expected. Metroid Fusion is my favourite GBA game and Zelda Minish Cap is also brilliant except for its final boss.
Does anyone else feel that Nintendo's own titles keep getting 10/10 for rehashed older games? I bet this is more of a 7 or 8 for those who've played Mario games before.
This seems like one for the fans... Musou games have a very repetitive gameplay loop, which you either like or find tedious. Tbh a proper RPG persona game would have more longevity and be more interesting for those who don't like musou games.
If it had more appealing playable characters then generic children and better story it would have been something to check out, I feel Square Enix could have been more original. Will pass on this one.
So far reached the high tech area, about level 4 or 5, it's great fun and you can get in the flow of traversing environments and levels. It also includes some of the most annoying things about NES games, like insta-death and getting killed by enemies with simple AI.
Won't buy day one - I like Metroidvanias but not sure how good the game design and controls will be. No doubt it will sell well off the back of Shovel Knight's popularity.
Kirby Star Allies was disappointing and the other 2 Switch Kirby games are fighters so I decided to buy the 3DS Kirby games, like planet robobot, because I loved the franchise on the NES, SNES, and GB

Re: WayForward Shares First Screenshots Of River City Girls 2
Hoping RCG2 will have a better ending and more replay value, eg game modes. RCG1 was fun but had a few limitations.
Re: The Nintendo Life Video Game Music Festival Kicks Off Today!
Composers from the Castlevania and Zelda series would be cool to hear from

@RCGamer that would be the dream, but I would expect the DS games to be released in a separate collection. Totally agree with you though!

Sounds like Maria and Richter could suggest the Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night storyline, but not sure about the setting and time period
Re: Review: Game Builder Garage - A Toolbox Of Terrifying Potential
Personally would have preferred a 2D focused game maker to make matroidvania style games. I can see people having fun with this though.
Re: Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin Dev Hoped It'd Sell 30k Copies - It Just Passed One Million
This was a unique game and I really liked Sakuna as a character, but sold my copy when the farming gameplay loop became tedious.

Re: Thanks To Switch, Nintendo Has Now Sold Over Half A Billion Handheld Consoles

Re: Random: Nintendo Has Uploaded Its Switch Online Trailer (Again), And It's Still Getting Disliked

Looks like the DS family and Wii had many of the highlights for Kirby. Personally, I was very disappointed by the Switch games.
