Re: This Metroid Set Could Be Officially Reviewed By LEGO With Your Votes

@Pod bet you're fun at parties, aren't ya

That's pretty cool! Her gunship has an excellent build, but the colors are a little drab, imo. Maybe a slightly lighter green for the windshield/cockpit? I dunno, either way, this gets my vote! I'd love to buy it.

EDIT: On the lego site it shows Ridley too. That's a really cool design!

Re: Best Of 2020: There's No Shame In Playing On Easy, Even If You're A Pro

For me, i'll always start a story-focused game like Uncharted or The Last of Us on Easy mode. If I go back for a second playthrough, i'll usually bump up the difficulty at least a little bit depending on 1.) How much better i feel I am at the game compared to when I started and 2.) if there are additional trophies or achievements to be gained. Most other games i'll just leave at their default difficulty.

Yeah, I totally feel this article, lol. I went through the same thing! I wanted a rural feel to the town because I miss the quaint lil forest vibe from the original. (Not to mention I really like the look of the weeds in this game!)

So I sold my soul to Isabelle to get that five star. After adding a ridiculous amount of assorted mama, papa, and baby bears around my island, throw in a Godzilla, swimming pool, and a satellite antenna for good measure, I finally achieved the 5 star rating and got my golden watering can... only to find out that the golden boi still breaks after a certain amount of uses. Still, the extended frontal range is worth it! Plus it seems to last around 3x the usage of a normal one.

But anyway, best believe my town is getting renovated back to be a forest after I've collected a satisfactory amount of lily of the valley flowers.

As a couple people above have mentioned, if you enjoyed the writing in TOK, then the humor and writing style, wordplay, puns and everything about West of Loathing is going to be right up your alley. I can't recommend it enough for fans of good quality writing. The narrator had my dying almost non-stop throughout the entirety of the game. HIGHLY recommend it.

My only real complaint about the game is that the battle system itself is extremely simple, but they're still fun to play and the game provides decent incentive to continue fighting. The emphasis is definitely on the writing and humor though, and the game absolutely shines in that regard. Seriously how this game didn't get a mention in the article itself is beyond me. Shame on you

Re: Video: Mario Kart DS Skids Onto Wii U Virtual Console

pikku

This is definitely a great game, the single player probably has the most content of any Mario Kart games to date with all the missions, so I honestly don't even mind that the online multiplayer is absent, especially considering how limited it was in terms of course selection. I only wish GBA and DS games were available on both the Wii U and 3DS eShops.

I had a lot of fun with the 3DS version for a while, but then playing through the levels stopped being fun and started to feel like a grind. And despite downloading it on day one, I still have never have finished the game, simply because the "grindiness" left such a terrible taste in my mouth.

Re: Feature: The GamePad - From Waggling Remotes To Dual Sticks and a Touchscreen

@VolcanoFlames pretty much my thoughs as well. I don't like whne it's used as an overhead map for games though. In theory, the overhead view for Sonic Racing Transformed would work and feel exactly like it does in Mario Kart DS/7, but it's so much harder to glance down at the GamePad and look back up at the screen in a split-second like you could on the DS. I really like off-tv play and local multiplayer with it though. I definitely think it has potential, developers just have to think about it a little differently than they did for the DS's second screen imo.

Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)

pikku

I don't understand why anyone would need a CCP for this game. I'm a huge fan of the Gamecube game, and I honestly think Dark Moon has better controls. They stripped the needlessy complicated controls of the original to a much simpler scheme that is much more fun imo.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)

I liked the controls of the 3DS version actually. For some reason they felt better than the Wii U version to me. But it doesn't matter since I'm probaby not getting the game, just throwing my two cents out there.
