Re: Resident Evil: Revelations Art Book and CD Soundtrack Announced

pikku

That is a pretty good sized book, haha

And the CD is no slouch either. If this is included in the non-Amazon $49.99 price point (and if it comes to NA ) then it definitely justifies the extra ten bucks imo. Awesome.

Edit: Oh, actually re-reading it, it sounds like it'll have to be purchased seperately, not included with the game, lol.

Re: Review: Mighty Switch Force (3DSWare)

pikku

Bleh, I really have to get a bigger SD card if I want to play this, lol. I had to clear out some of the crap just to fit my gBA games on the thing, and then even more of the crap some of which I wanted to keep ;___; to get the Swapnote to fit D:

2GB just isn't big enough for me any more ;_______;

Re: Review: Rayman Origins (Wii)

pikku

@warioswoods, haha yeah, exactly, it's getting ridiculously good scores across the board, so I most likely will end up renting it at the very least, as I absolutely love 2D platformers, just as of right now, it's probably the lowest on my priority list right now tbh.

Also, yes DKCR was the best thing to happen to the 2D platformer since Super Mario World imo. :3
I honestly can't think of a thing I would change in it, besides maybe the way lives are given out between P1 and P2.

@Mr. Reece lmao okay, I suppose I'll trust you on the subject of it's controls, especially as that's what everybody seems to be saying, but I'll just have to play it for myself before I can say anything.Just out of curiosity, as anyone here played both the Wii and PS3 versions of the game? If so, which is beter? Obviously the Wii version doesn't have the benefit of HD visuals, but besides that, are the levels and such exactly the same?

Re: Review: Rayman Origins (Wii)

pikku

Bleh, I dunno, I don't find the art style at all attractive, and it just looks so loose and the sounds, at least from the gameplay videos and trailers I've seen make it sound incredibly irritating. I might rent this, but probably won't.

Re: Feature: Ten Years of Golden Sun

pikku

The only thing even remotely special about these games today s the awesome GBA graphics. The rest was pretty passable, generic even. Bleh. and the DS game doesn't even look so hot compared to to ther games

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Plans to Fight Back

pikku

@pizzacore Again, you must have thought the 3DS was worth $250 when it launched, or else you wouldn't have gotten one. Nintendo is well within their rights to change the price at any time, and they had no obligation to 'repay' you for anything. Yet they did. And if you s don't like one of the games that they're giving you for free then you don't have to download them; save your storage for something you do like. There is absolutely no reason to be complaining about the price drop whatsoever.

Re: Feature: Pikmin's 10th Anniversary

pikku

@Viewtiful Joe Double Dash had more innovations than simply adding a second karter. Each character (or set of chatacters -think: Koopa, Paratroopa; Toad, Toadette; Mario, Luigi) had unique items that only they could get. Koopa/ Paratroopa had triple shells, and Mario/Luigi had those triple flame things. They gave the game a more strategic approach that hasn't been seen sine, unfortunately.

Re: Feature: Pikmin's 10th Anniversary

pikku

I cannot wait for Pikmin 3. Seeing how immensely detailed and beautiful the first two games were and still are today makes me very excited to see the world in glorious HD. Can't. Wait. n____n

Re: Iwata Unsure if Nintendo Will Sell Wii U At a Loss

pikku

I love how when Nintendo finally announces their HD system, evverybody complains that it's not what they wanted or that they're ntot buying it when that's exactly what they've been griping about ever since the Wii launched.
I'll never understand people.

Re: Feature: Classic Sequels - Tricks or Treats?

pikku

I won't even get started on Other M again, and I suggest you all do the same. Also, @warioswoods please allow me on that Sunshine Defense team I'm replaying it in anticipation of SM3DL, and I had forgotten how much I love everything about it. From its gorgeous visuals--amazing water etc, to its grand and open ended yet expert level design to its wonderfully tight controls, it is definitely my favorite 3D Mario game, right below the first Galaxy. ~and followed closely by SMG2

Re: Review: Wario World (GameCube)

pikku

Haha this revew is sotrue I got the game for $15 and I pretty much regret it. As short as the game is, I still haven't brought myself to actually beat it yet. It's just way too sloppy lol.

Re: Explore Skyward Sword's Skyview Dungeon

pikku

Twilight Princess > Ocarina imo. seriously, if you're playing them today, there really is no reason to like OoT more, TP just does eveything so much better. it's so epic n_n
Also, Other M is great too.

Re: Feature: Staff Memories of the Game Boy Advance

pikku

I'm with Ron. When I first played my brother's GBA in 2001, I was blown away by the start-up screen, and the fact that my first two games were Donkey Kong Country 2, and SUper Mario WOrld, two games I played to death on the SNES, only made it more clear how powerful the system really was compared to the brick Game Boy to which I was accustomed.
