I remember being shown metal gear solid 1 on the playstation for the first time, there was a scene where you identify the masked infiltrator by their walk.. they had a female walk. this little detail was incredible, for the time.

@RiasGremory I don't think so. It's simply low supply and high demand = very high price. If I have the only copy left on the internet for sale, I could price it at £1000 and that would be reasonable.

perfect dark mastered some of the gameplay elements originated in goldeneye and had its own innovations, such as a gun that could shoot through walls/ see heat etc but the games universe wasn't as absorbing to me. I didn't care about Joanna dark

goldeye had everything. brilliant single player, excellent graphics (at the time) legendary multiplayer.. masses of content. I spent so much time unlocking all the special abilities, invincibility etc through replay. Modern games and their DLC ruined this element of gaming.

most likely they will do a 3D Mario Allstars style release where you can buy the Metroid Prime Trilogy for a limited time before they take it back out of stock

I skipped through a video play through of all three Prime games and even though I have fond memories of the games I couldn't actually recognise any of the locations I saw in the video.

The games exist in my memory with only the moods of the areas leaving a lasting impression. I don't know if this is because the games are boring with no centrepieces in the levels to make them memorable, or if its simply been so long I forgot. scary.

interestingly though, I can clearly remember locations from Mario 64, which came out years before the first prime. I can remember the locations vividly and will probably never forget them

I think it needs a remaster now, they waited too long to be able to simply release it in HD and expect people who have never played it to still be able to enjoy it.

Breath of the wild didn't need explaining, you saw it and you knew it was about exploration. anything you didn't understand, you were excited to wait to find out when you played the game.

This sonic game on the other hand, we understand it looks mediocre and fear it will be worse to play.

ps I really hate boost rails, they scream ''we don't know how to implement sonics speed and movement in a 3d space, here are some rails.''

@sanderev no music or art exists outside of the influence of others art. its paying homage, with varying degrees of the original work apparent.

even the music Nintendo creates for its games can be accused of plagiarism if you look at the obvious influences that can be heard in them. there's nothing new under the sun!

my YouTube channel is almost purely remixes, mostly from Nintendo game music. my channel is not monetised though.. if Nintendo want to take it down, they will lose my respect

I feel bad for monolith having their game treated like a stop gap between Nintendo's first party games. Nintendo so desperate to get it out the door they are willing to launch the collectors edition after release of the software.

What a mess. How can you release the contents of a collectors edition after the release of the software. It’s like opening a Christmas present with half the gift missing.

What’s even more of a shambles is they haven’t even actually offered the collectors edition up for pre order yet in the uk.

the joy cons are quite flimsy, they have to be considering the switches dimensions. I use the sticks very carefully, maybe they had some heavier use with Metroid dread. I have had no problems with drift.

they aren't arcade cabinet joysticks you can bash around. I suspect drift is a problem because of heavy use

so in short, people don't like LRG because they can't afford the games and are too impatient to wait for them to be shipped.

All jokes aside, they make great editions of games that might otherwise not get a physical release.

My only complaint is sometimes they release a title that goes on to get a full release at retail anyway.

playing this game at the moment... its so hard! you need lightning fast reflexes. very good though

I signed up for Netflix, but I know the deal is that I enjoy the content while its available- I know the content is not forever mine, different films can be pulled at anytime. That's the deal and I accept it.

If you really love a game that is only available digitally, sorry but that is the tough reality of digital- its only available to access (legally) for as long as the platform holder provides it.

Just do what I do for digital games I am interested in- pray they get a physical release!

Its not me who is ridiculous, but those who think they are entitled to own something offered temporarily to be forever theirs. If more people supported physical media, maybe the devs would make your beloved titles in a format that is actually yours to keep.

it's not Nintendo's job to preserve other devs games. everyone knows when they buy digital its not for keeps.

people choose to consume digitally (I dont,) so please dont moan about preservation if you aren't supporting the physical market.

Nintendo do release official soundtracks for many of their many major games. support Nintendo and the artist by purchasing the soundtrack.

If there are any games that dont have soundtracks released, a good community would contact Nintendo (or other dev/publisher) about making the OST available.

taking to YouTube and releasing other peoples property is not the behaviour of a fan. YouTube has clear guidelines about publishing content that isn't yours

I don’t get how people can upload the content in the first place, since YouTube ask you to confirm that you own the copyright or have permission to post the content you are submitting. The person clearly doesn’t own nintendos soundtracks, so why would they bother in the first place?

I post remixes on YouTube, hardly original but at least I could claim I have created some content. If Nintendo were to target remix channels I would probably argue more in favour of the content creator

game freak should be held to a higher standard because they are no indie developer with minimal budget and pokemon is a massive franchise.

to release a game with substandard graphics just comes across as disrespectful to the players, given the developer has the resources to do better on a technical level.

you should use the streams to make informed decisions, like, is this a good game. game freak are seemingly scared to show live gameplay, for some reason. probably because it looks very very shabby from what I can see

• lack of ambience or atmosphere
• awkward camera
• little to no polish
• ugly on screen text
• wireframes visible during gameplay ugh

People acting like if they got the game early they would sit waiting for days for a release date to arrive before they started playing.

Maybe if the publisher promoted the game more and showed more actual gameplay, people would stop blaming gamers for showing the game. They are doing the publishers job
