For me, it's nearly perfect. The only improvement I coul imagine was more interaction with the invironment. Just giving (intereractive) response to the so many actions would make the world feeling more responsible. The Touryst feels like vacation, but to fullfill that promise, it should have more senseless interactions.
Edit: What I mean is: Gimme just more wasting time. That world is so adorable and chilling, that I want to LIVE in it. Just add some Animal Crossing feelings, for example an own house with garden and so on. That world feels so inviting that I just want to be/rest there, fishing, surfing, adding new furtinure and maybe pictures of my adventures to my home....
FAST RMX was a blast and still is one of the best looking racing games on consoles. Snipperclips is a masterpiece of co-op puzzling and perfectly demonstrated the creative possibilities of the console. And finally, Breath of the Wild... yes, it was cross-gen, BUT IT'S THE ULTIMATE GAME.
I never was more excited and never had more fun with the launch of a new console. Those three games combined were and are the trinity of launch games. And it didn't stop after that: Within the launch year frame there followed Mario Kart 8, Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Mario Odyssey, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. That's uncomparable!
Breath of the Wild obviously! I still get the creeps, when I'm watching this masterpiece of a trailer. I'm sure, Tears of the Kingdom will also be a class of its own and a worth successor to BotW, but what BotW and especially its 2017 trailer have done to me in over 35 years of gaming experience is unparalleled. BEST TRAILER OF THE BEST GAME EVER! No question.
1. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (one of my Top-5-All-Time-Favorites) 2. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure 3. Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine 4. Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures 5. The LEGO Indiana Jones games
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes DLC Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Mario Strikers: Battle League DLC Nintendo Switch Sports DLC Pikmin 4 Splatoon 3 DLC The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC
I downloaded and installed 12.0.3 when its distribution restarted and received that error-message after purchasing "Alba: A Wildlife Adventure" on Thursday morning. A system reboot made the game files download working, finally.
What about a non-Metroid Prime 4 game by Retro Studios? Really, what were they doing five years long between Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and the MP4 reboot??
And give me an Earthbound franchise remake/reboot/whatsoever, please!
If those numbers are true, Nintendo has only sold 8 mio units in the 4th quarter of 2020 - compared to 10.8 mio in 2019 and 9.4 mio in 2018 within the same timeframe...
Handheld: 1082 p with a bigger (OLED) display plus extended battery life - and an alloy or magnesium case would be awesome!
Dock: I'd like to see a Switch variant that could be directly connected to the TV - without the need for a docking station. But if this rumour is true, it seems like: not. So, an empowered dock, allowing scaled 4K on TV, would also be fine - I can't see native 4K support anyway.
It's all computer graphics for now. And especially in this picture with the plants on the table — if they want to talk to each other, do they have access to a machete?
Nintendo Switch is my first console and it has changed the way I play games. I love that freedom of playing games in so much different ways. I don't think the Switch principle has to compete with "classic" smart devices because of its joy-con advantage, that no one should underestimate. I'm sure that's the main reason for its success.
Just gimme the Earthbound Saga (Mother 1-3) in a Link's Awakening Remake style –––– or (much, MUCH better) in "Mother" official Comic Pollyanna cover art! So long, and thanks for all the fish 3>
Babylon's Fall, Bayonetta 3, Nier: Automata - nope! All of them already announced/released and IPs ownded by partners.
Astral Chain 2, Okami 2, Star Fox (Zero), Vanquish 2 - nope! All IPs owned by partners. Maybe Platinum managed to buy some IP from Capcom/SEGA, but I think it's unlikely.
Scalebound - why not?
Entirely new IP - for sure. They said, they'd like to own their own IPs. And if they want to self-publish, that's one of two possibilities (the other one is to license something).
Something else - could be. See above the license thing.

Re: The Touryst: Deluxe Hits Switch 2 Next Week At 4K / 60fps
@Anti-Matter
Yes. And its port was the only 60 FPS game on PS5.
Re: Talking Point: Does Switch 2 Have Nintendo's Best Launch Line-Up Ever?
@Polvasti Yeah, that's why I voted for Switch 1.

Re: Poll: So, Do You Think Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Will Actually Release In 2022?
@Grumblevolcano
Same here. I'd bet it's a "cross-gen" title for a new Switch that'll miss this year's holidays window. I predict: 2023-03-03 ;P
Re: Poll: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2021? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
Unfortunatly, two out of three of my favorites weren't reviewed - so I couldn't select them.
Mutazione

Re: Talking Point: Is There A Better-Looking 20-Year-Old Game Than Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II?
Rogue Leader is BY FAR the best looking video game of 2001. Just compare with other 2001's releases, there is no serious competitor. Stunning.

Handheld: 1082 p with a bigger (OLED) display plus extended battery life - and an alloy or magnesium case would be awesome!

Yep, we got Grim Fandango, but what's about DotT, Full Throttle and Monkey Island? Come on, Double Fine/LARIP!!!
Re: Feature: Best Point And Click Adventure Games For Nintendo Switch
It's a shame that I still didn't get it through Grim Frandango after so many years, but its control scheme was and is my personal nemesis.
The list also missed some masterpieces:
Broken Age
Deponia series
Night in the Woods
Röki
Silence
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
The Journey Down
