I live in Canada but fly to Egypt

As an Egyptian who flies to Egypt often this ban bothered me But luckily i fly to Canada and not the US. I will point out however that Egypt is quite a big tourist destination from Europeans and those from the UK. It's unfortunate that tourism took a dive in Egypt... I also wanted to point out that Not all Egyptians are Muslims and there is still 15 million Christians.

As much as i would love to see this game on switch i would rather they not develop it until the system proves itself as a portable system that ppl will use for online gaming. If Activision develops it and spends all the time and money trying to get it to run on switch and the game sells below expectations well you can kiss all 3rd parties goodbye. Most you Nintendo fans will still opt for the better versions on xbox and ps4 and pc.

Gamers have to accept the fact that dlc is inevitable. The costs to make a modern Game are sky high. For the most part nintendo dlc has been pretty fair. 29th a few exeptions. Take the wait and see approach to determine the value off the dlc and of it appeals to you.

Exactly nintendo has been quiet for two years they should have way more I the pipeline then what's been shown secrecy is becoming their Achilles heel rather than helping boost excitement. No VC info nothing said about online services yet. Not many games from3rd parties to get ourv attention. They are always quiet about the specs of their console gpu/cpu. I'm waiting until more secrets are revealed before i make the jump

Well probably more indie support than triple A big studio games. Better than nothing but still not expecting the big guns...

@SLIGEACH_EIRE i doubt that nvidea couldn't produce enough x2s for Nintendo This was a cost related decision and a stupid one at that. Not sure how much x2 would have cost but Im Pretty sure i would have preferred that over hd rumble

This is an unfortunate reality when dealing with Nintendo hd rumble is marking up the price of the system rather than a superior chip set. You want Xbox one power parity no instead you can feel how many icecubes you're holding. Just an fyi Pascal x2 would have let you play the witcher Batman arkham knight overwatch just to name a few. I wish we can have a proper debate here at #Nintendolife to discuss the gimmicks vs power debate and Nintendo can see what they're fans want.

Maybe had they launched at 199 not 299. Casuals won't spend 299 plus a game on the switch and the wii was the casual market machine

If you're expecting western 3rd party support than don't put your hopes up. I'm pretty sure that developers will rerelease ports at full price no one buy and then 3rd parties will say well Nintendo fans only play Nintendo games bla bla bla. Just keep mind when pick this system anything 3rd party is just bonus. I've learned lesson with wiiu

This is good for the short term but eventually there willl be a price drop for the switch and Nintendo needs those3ds owners to make the upgrade to switch to expand the install base which will attract3rd parties. Furthermore i wonder how inflated the number of3ds owners are i imagine that there are many individuals which own more than one unit as the attachment rate for the3ds is not as high especially compared t to the wii u. I would like to see Nintendo eventually only focus on developing games for one piece of hardware.

@Marshi seriously it's embarrassing that they don't release the specs we know that it's not going to be near x box and ps4 it's a damn portable just tell us the full story. The more they hide the worse it makes them look

I hate nintendo for hiding the clock speeds and ram. Why not tell us what we are buying into. Its gonna get torn down anyway. Nintendo stop treating us like kids. I've decided to wait before jumping in.

The thing is of its av home console than why is it better than the wii u ? I don't see any benefit yet. Pretty sure that the wii u can run splatoon2 or mario odyssy..

@kenrulei the top selling Games on wii u barely used any of the gimmicks no touch screen in the gamepad and barely used motion control. Nintendo should have learned that their core audience doesn't want the gimmicks just quality software. An underpowered console won't have3rd party support. I rather they had spent the money on more competitive cpu gpu than the joycons which cost99 dollars in Canada that's the same price for the kinect

Ask yourself what software will this system have by year 3 i just don't have confidence in Nintendo to deliver any more. I doubt they have much to show in e3 but I'll wait to see what they show off. Think about this of your a wii u owner like myself and you decide to pick up Zelda on wii u what reason do you have to pick up the switch there it's nothing compelling.

I hate to say it but there is no compelling reason to buy a switch. I Actually want Nintendo to go 3rd party now. Can you imagine how much better the games would be on ps4

We as the fans need to speak with our wallets and tell them these prices are absurd and unacceptable. I will not buy the switch until it's price drops. Is Nintendo blind to the competition i can and just might opt to buy a ps4 with a game and still have money left over to buy Zelda on wii u. Nintendo will desperately drop the price because they are stuck with the switch for5 years and need to sell their software all 5 games that they will develop In switch lifecycle anyway.

I really hope this game bombs i wouldn't pay 10 dollars Canadian for this. Nintendo wasting precious development resources . this game

I am not too excited about this Nintendo is so behind the competition and with no3rd party games we will have to pay for essentially peanuts compared to what ps4 and x1 players are getting. They could have said the first year online is free when you buy the system what about later adopters... So many questions and they don't answer them

Can't wait for digital foundry to eventually tear down a switch and really tell us what we are getting in there in terms of gpu/cpu.

Even though i didn't exactly get into splatoon im happy Nintendo is keeping it going for all the fans. Hopefully it's successful and helps drive sales.

@arnoldlayne83 definitely agree as home console its not compelling. I would like them to sell the dock separately lower the price to 249 market it as a portable you van play the big screen.
But obviously they are more desperate to replace the wii u and they are scared to cannibalize the3ds they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

@Pokefanmum82 oh yea it's crazy expensive in Canada when you throw in 15 percent sales tax. With Zelda you are at 550 cad. Probably get a ps4 with a game and a few used gamed for that much...

They are crazy. I don't even think they look at the competition. You can get a ps4 with a game for less and a triple aaa game like uncharted not a crappy mini game collection like 1/2 switch... Guaranteed 1/2 switch will be a pack I within a month when this thing flops. And that won't help sales either.

@OzHuski they had nothing to show 80 games in development doesn't mean exclusive games the majority of those games will be available on other platforms. Time and time again I'm let down by Nintendo. And you need desperately 3rd party triple AAA games. Those games like gta 5 for example sold 70 million units and they didn't bother making it for nintendo system you don't think that would have helped push some system sales...

The switch costs 400 dollars in Canada and has no games and by Christmas this year it might have 3 games?? Nintendo is literally doing everything they can to convince me it's time to buy a ps4 instead.
The switch which i really had high hopes for a system to go back to the old days of Nintendo is just a portable wii u. It will fail hard. They obviously invested all their resources in designing those joy cons i would have much rathered them put a better gpu/cpu and give me a system that has a chance at getting3rd party games back on board. Or Nintendo stop selling this thing as a home console it can't compete on the big screen at all. It doesn't have the legs to go 5 years as a home console

Nintendo is making it very difficult to justify purchasing their products.

I think this is a fantastic opportunity for Nintendo to dip their foot in releasing a game on another console giving a chance for other consumers to revisit Nintendo developed games and franchises.
I think that they should release the next Zelda game on x box one maybe 6 month after releasing it on wii u or nx. Minecraft is no small property and a Zelda game should really help remind and show noon Nintendo fans the quality Nintendo can offer.
Sure I'll buy it on my wii u but some ppl will be given a chance to buy it on new system.

I am a bit concerned that Takeda would keep Nintendo on a Japanese Centric path.. Nintendo has so much potential they need someone young open to social gaming and broadening the Nintendo brand globally... Takeda will give us an under powered NX and repeat mistakes rather than learn from past mistakes
