I would never think I would see a Kelly Slater meets Pokemon crossover, holy moly.
Jokes aside, there's nothing about this game that really gets me excited to be honest. If it has less handholding than S/M, I might try it. It made me pretty mad to not be able to actually explore the game because it needed to have a cutscene every five steps.
@Tortimer That's so cute. I'm 24, not in need of parental care, but can you adopt me, please?
On-topic: I've never thought I would want a game like just (just like I didn't know I wanted a game like M+R: Kingdom Battle), but I want it. I'm so happy it won't be a long wait. Perfect fit between M+R and Mario's Oddysey, with some Sonic Mania on the side.
Honestly, with all the releases this year, on other platforms as well, 2017 shapes up to be the best year of gaming in ages - for me atleast.
@Meowpheel Have you played this game? Touch controls would be completely horrible.
I'm going to buy it on the Switch for casual sessions, but m+kb is still the superior way of playing this game. This comes from a console player that does some PC gaming on the side.
@Joytendo22 I've installed the day 1 patch yesterday before playing the game and still had some hickups. I've mostly noticed it when I just started but later in the game it became less appearant. That might have been because I've changed to playing docked, but Ubisoft still has some patching to do.
@AwokenLink Yeah me too, but the travelcase I've bought has room for 8 cartridges.
I made a Google spreadsheet of mostly indie titles I want to play on the Nintendo Switch and if at least one of those gets a releasedate, I'm happy. Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley and Flipping Death preferably. Oh, and Terraria! I think I'm the only one who completely skipped that game but still wants to play it.
@AwokenLink I've bought it from the Ubisoft store because I got enough Ubipoints to give me 20% discount.
I've just a played a bit (UPS did f*ck up, but I solved it) and besides some technical things like stutters here and there, it's quite enjoyable. Played in handheld mode, will try the docked mode later on.
If UPS doesn't nibelsnarf up, I'm playing this game tonight! Didn't read the review yet because I want to know as less as possible, but the score makes me happy.
I promise to actually read the review after I've played for some hours, to find out if I agree with your opinion on it.
First game I pre-ordered for my Switch (second is Oddysey, which I pre-ordered just today). Can't wait to play! Have been trying to not look at all the trailers and videos about it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I hope it's at least 12-15 hours and replayable to some degree.
Althought it might not be for me, but this looks like a proper controller. If the extra features aren't important to you, this can be a good option for way less money.
It's just a mediocre Minecraft clone with a twist, right? We already have MineCraft on the system and Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming, so no need for this.
@invictus4000 It really depends on the game don't you think? Breath of the Wild has some framedrops here and there and that's not a very big issue for people 'like us' that don't NEED 60fps to call it a nice experience.
On the other hand, fast games with high precision needed actually suffer on gameplay level. Example: imagine playing Hotline Miami or OlliOlli with dips to 15-20fps. That makes a fast game pretty slow.
@Not_Soos I see someone posted sort of a solution but I know something that doesn't cost money (and what I did myself)
For some reason my Switch can't connect to my WiFi in my bedroom but my laptop with Windows 10 does. So what I did, and what you could do if you have a laptop/pc that supports it, is make the W10 device a Hotspot.
So the Switch connected to the laptop, the laptop connected to the Internet and it works. For downloading a game that's less than 200mb that's totally fine.
@ibis_87 Is every Switch game in Russia so cheap? There are some games I don't mind paying full European price for but some games are just too expensive for what they are. If the Russian prices are always lower, I might buy those games as well.
For the first time in my life I made a Google Sheets list of games that seem interesting enough to buy and play. For now I only got BOTW and MK8 physically and Minecraft digitally.
Depending on reviews I'll buy Sonic Mania. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is pre-ordered.

Re: Random: This Minimalist Lego Worlds Switch Icon Isn't Exactly a Chip Off The Old Block
Both screenshots contain multiple user account icons and those don't match either. That bothers me just as much.
Re: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Misses Out on Top Spot in UK Charts
@Yasaal Speak for yourself, sir. Don't make your opinion sound like it's a fact.
Re: Floor Kids Will Start the Beat on Switch This Holiday Season
It made me think of B-Boy for the PSP and PS2. I'm not sure yet if that's a good or bad thing.
Re: Mom Hid My Game Will Try to Find a Home on Switch and 3DS Later This Year
@icomma Games like these are why I would like a Nintendo Switch Humble Bundle in a couple of years. Fun to play, but not for more than a dollar.

Re: Review: Rocket Fist (Switch eShop)
@Kalmaro I agree. Most nice looking titles are multiplayer only or way better when played multiplayer.

Re: Roll7 "Considering" Bringing Both OlliOlli Games To Switch
Played the first one on 3DS, played the second one on PC but would love to have that portable again.
Pretty sad they're whoring for likes though.

"If you're after another dose of combat, look out for a downloadable demo of Pokkén Tournament DX, coming to Nintendo eShop this Thursday."
Re: PayPal Payment Option Arrives On Japanese Switch eShop
@DrkBndr Sadness. Else it would make it so much easier to buy games from other regions.
Re: Review: Gunbarich (Switch eShop)
"Good music and visual design add to the appeal..."
Am I the only one who disagrees? It looks unappealing mostly because of the visual design. Inconsistent and ugly is what I would call it.
Might be fun to play, but the visual part isn't close to pretty.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Totally worth a 20.
Re: Sonic Mania Runs Brilliantly on Switch, With One Tiny Drawback
It's the only issue I've noticed as well.

@Zoda_Fett It's in the store, I'm downloading as we speak.

Re: Poll: 99 Games and Counting - Are You Pleased With the Switch eShop Library?

Depending on reviews I'll buy Sonic Mania. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is pre-ordered.
Re: Review: Overcooked: Special Edition (Switch eShop)
Is the singleplayer campaign fun enough to be worth the 20?
