Re: Review: Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Bad Dudes (Switch eShop)

So I've just looked and I'm very annoyed to see that this game is £7.99 on the UK eShop.. Gates Of Doom is £6.99, the games are the same price, $7.99 in America so I'm wondering why the extra pound in the UK!

I can live with waiting an extra week but by getting a $20 eShop card for just over £15 it works out the game will cost me just over £6.

I like to support developers releasing their games in my country but I'm very tempted to use Switch's region free capabilities here, mostly on principle, not just to save a couple of quid...

I have a US account set up as I imported Resident Evil Revalations and needed it to download part 2, which gave me 20 gold points, Bad Dudes and a game the same price will give me 40 each so I'll then have enough funds to be able to get Xeodrifter at it's sale price, saving me another £1.50 ish..

Sorry to go on and slightly off topic here but I'd love to know what people's opinions are on using foreign accounts to get games cheaper.

Rant over, cheers!

Got physical copies Senran Kagura 2 and Devils Third on their way to me.. I would have loved the t shirt for D3rd from the UK Nintendo store but couldn't justify the 50 quid, pre ordered a copy off an ebay seller for just over £32

I imported the physical release from Japan and to be honest I would've given it a 7. As a shmup fan I find it very innovative for the genre, just would've preferred longer levels..

The only thing that stopped me fully enjoying it was not reading Japanese and therefore unable to understand certain mission requirements, was helped out by some kind English speaking Japanese people on Miiverse!

Basically, if this is released in the PAL region I'll definitely buy it again, hopefully Klon's Japanese aShop shooter Illmatic Envelope Dillinjah will be released to the rest of the world too.. That game's awesome!

Their 3ds Radirgy game is pretty cool too, Klon - give us all your shmups

Thanks NL for reminding me that the Japanese eShop updates a day early this week.. After the article on this game earlier I couldn't wait to download it tomorrow morning but I've now just turned on my New LL to download right now

Will download the UK version in July too.. I wonder if local play will work cross region?

Re: Nintendo Marketing Boss Says amiibo Expectations "Have Been Smashed", and Aims to Improve Stock Supplies

The situation is absolutely ridiculous, I've collected a few amiibo so far including Marth and Ike and I really want to buy Lucina and Robin to use with Code Name Steam when it's out in a couple of weeks..

Right now it's on Amazon for around £49!! Sold out everywhere else that I have searched.. For me the rrp is about right, and if they were available for that price I'd more than likely get them all over time.

Right now I've pretty much given up buying them as it's just hassle and not the enjoyable collecting experience that it should be..

If I see the ad again for Code Name Steam that says 'tap Marth, Ike, Robin or Lucina to add them to your squad', i may make an official complaint to Nintendo, asking them not to advertise something unless they can actually sell it to me.

@Charlosa Yeah, I work til around 4pm most days so I knew they'd be sold out by the time I got home.. Still checking the Nintendo store to see if Lucina and Robin become available to preorder as I want them for when Code Name Steam is released..

I'm glad amiibo are popular too but honestly think Nintendo should concentrate on supplying the demand for the ones that are already out before releasing more..

@Charlosa I got a Shulk amiibo off a seller on Amazon.co.jp for around £16, then shipped over via Tenso for around another £6.. Still a little more than I think any amiibo is worth but when I bought it they were going for around 40 on ebay which is ridiculous..!

Got an email from Nintendo UK Store about the new amiibo's "available" to pre order.. Might as well been titled "Look what you can't have!"
