Super Robot Wars is a massive series in its native Japan and brings together many classic Mecha series into one convenient package.
The latest entry in this long-running franchise has just been revealed by Famitsu, and goes by the title Super Robot Wars BX. It launches in Japan on August 20th for 6,640 yen.

Nadesico is cool but otherwise pretty dissapointing lineup.
Japan and their Robots... so jealous. All we get are transformers.... which have been butchered.
The last SRW I played was Z because of the return of the original Final Dynamic Special. I've stopped playing the game afterwards.
I'd love to play a new one of these, but after my broken original DS, I'm never importing hardware again. I'd have probably never played any of these without region free handhelds as I'm pretty I even had to import the GBA games as they never came out in Europe.
Slow news day?
Only series I recognize other than Gundam is Martian Successor Nadesico.
Wasn't there a Super Robot Wars game that had Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass and Gunbuster/Diebuster representation in it? I want that one.
It's too bad we never did get to see the multi-robot series internationally, although Endless Frontier was a lot of fun to play through. With the Project X-Zone series making waves (and using the SRW gameplay engine), and with notable changes in the licensing landscape since the last SRW release, here's hoping that we might finally see it get out of Japan.
Everytime I see a post like this, it makes me mad.
@EmmatheBest Slow comment day?
I see Valvrave, LINEBARREL!!!, Rinne, and Gundam AGE bots on the cover. So...feel free to keep this one, Japan. I swear, the DS and 3DS have gotten pretty B-tier games from this series pretty much the whole way. :/ I mean, they say they'll improve this one, but that's what they said with UX, too...
@OdnetninAges Z3 Tengoku Hen is the one with all those series in it.
Nadesico returns! But AGE is choosing to focus on Kio... Oh boy...
Tfw You are never going to play games half as cool as Japan gamers cuz less than half of the producers give a Crap about porting to the rest of the world.
@CanisWolfred W was a fine series though. That thing was all sorts of awesome and it used 2D sprite animations that was really good for the DS.
I would really like to have a chance to play these games 😕
@link422007 It also had a crapton of glitches, IIRC...
I'll be buying this for sure..
I bought my first Japanese 3ds a couple of years ago because I could not live without playing Gundam The 3d Battle..!
Oh Macross, how you can get me to buy ANYTHING.
