Re: EA Just Had A Record-Breaking Year Despite A Decline In Physical Sales

gortsi

@westman98 I think that with Konami dropping PES 2019 on current-gen only FIFA will be following as well. What people forget is that EAs biggest problem with FIFA on the Wii u, aside from lacklustre sales, was the fact that they couldn't shoehorn FUT into it and thus we only got FIFA 13, with 14 and 15 being on the Wii but not on the Wii U! Now that they've managed to get FUT going, I think 2019 is a given and unless sales are disastrous possibly even more. Even the Vita got 4 FIFA games FFS! The bigger question is if they will bother with anything else. You'd think games like Sims 4 would be a no brainer, what with it already having console versions and all previous Sims games being on Nintendo, but nothing yet

@WiltonRoots I count at least six in this that have been on Nintendo consoles in the past, so that's a healthy angry white dude dosage if someone needs one. Anyway, E3 coming up soon, which means lots of drinks and hopefully if the weather is anything like this bank holiday it will at least dry the tears quickly

Re: Nintendo Labo Drops To Fourth (And 17th) In The Japanese Charts

@WiltonRoots E3 is coming up, I hope they announce something like Switch Fit so we can witness the multiple meltdowns in here. That might even bring the Irish troll back, I'm surprised we haven't gotten any input from him about Labo and how all stores in Ireland are stacked with unsold bundles.

Re: Nintendo Labo Drops To Fourth (And 17th) In The Japanese Charts

@Fight_Teza_Fight yet they keep trying and there must be a reason? Have you seen how many Playlink games Sony has put out last year? I count at least six. Yet nobody claims Sony is diverting resources from God of War or TLOU to make these. It's exactly the same. They both have studios that make these type of games, and that will not change.

Re: Nintendo Labo Drops To Fourth (And 17th) In The Japanese Charts

@westman98 I've said it before,I'm not into Labo and probably won't be ever. However, saying that it isn't a "real" game is just stereotypical dudebro mentality that shows not just complete lack of awareness of what videogames are but also an outstanding ignorance of the market. If Nintendo listened to those people they would have gone under years ago. Thankfully they didn't.

Re: Nintendo Labo Drops To Fourth (And 17th) In The Japanese Charts

@westman98 you're responding to someone who unironically called LABO "not a real game" as if their definition of a game is valid for everyone. I'm just reminded of how something like Nintendogs which had even lower sales in the beginning in Japan (where Labo has sold twice as much as GOW yet it's considered a failure) and then went on to sell 24 million copies globally, something that all God of Wars combined together have not achieved. I hope Nintendo ignores these trolls and keeps doing their thing. They did so before and succeeded whereas every time they tried to appeal to the "hardcore" gamers who whine and moan about every little thing they failed spectacularly.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Switch)

@electrolite77 haha, true! He must be frothing by the fact that Labo is selling better than God of War in Japan, even though the two cannot be compared at any point, as they are so different and target completely different audiences. And I say that as someone who hasn't played Labo but can vouch that GOW is a brilliant series, even though I haven't played the latest one.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Switch)

@WiltonRoots their tears sustain me though. It takes real mental effort to continuously troll, get called out, and then insist that hundreds of people are just blind to your version of the truth because they are "fanboys" (or NDFers if you're 12, from Florida, and like Far Cry 5).

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Switch)

gortsi

@WiltonRoots seriously this game is such a masterpiece. Do I think it should have been priced lower, especially considering it got a Nintendo selects version on Wii U? Absolutely, and people can criticize the price all they want. But comparing that game to Far Cry, of all games? I love most Ubisoft games, but that's like comparing apples to oranges. They satisfy very different needs

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Switch)

gortsi

@gatorboi352 complains about a 2D platformer while thinking that another cookie cutter open world game is worth 60 bucks. Trolling at a whole different level, and very little understanding of mathematics. Can Sony pull the brakes on "cinematic" action adventures? Between the PS2, PS3 and PS4 they've pumped hundreds of them

Re: Sega Reveals Shenmue 1 & 2 Remaster, But It's Skipping Switch

gortsi

@Tao GOW I'm sure is fantastic but it's not even out yet like you said. And I didn't create the arbitrary rule, the troll I was responding to mentioned 90+ games. Personally I don't care about scores or platforms too much, what's the difference between and 88 and a 92 at the end of the day? If we follow that logic nobody would have bought a PS4 until Bloodborne came out or a Switch until Odyssey.

Re: Sega Reveals Shenmue 1 & 2 Remaster, But It's Skipping Switch

gortsi

@Fight_Teza_Fight not defensive at all, just sick of this guy trolling articles with irrelevant points. Not that this article entices discussion anyway, I don't know why it was worth reporting in the first place. @Tao saying that I'm factually wrong without saying which fact is wrong doesn't really mean much mate, sorry to burst your bubble. Neither do I care about which platforms you own, I don't know why this is brought up.

Re: Rumour: Sounds Like Football Manager Will Finally Be Calling The Shots On Switch

gortsi

@brendon987 I think I managed to get to 3 seasons before giving up, I found the interface slow and cumbersome and much preferred the PSP versions of FM, I always thought they were more streamlined. To be fair though they did put out seven of those so they had time to improve it plus when they were first coming out there was still some competition from CM, whereas with the Vita they just put up that one version and called it a day. Hopefully the Switch version is better, I'd think if they base it on the 19 version it will be better than putting the one from this year out now
