without even mentioning something as good as Super Mario Odyssey, when you can play New Super Lucky's Tale or the original Yooka Laylee on Switch why would you even bother with this unholy mess...
@SwitchForce yes friendo, I have heard of business models, unlike you. Preying on people's FOMO is not a business model, and the only delusional one here seems to be you. Read a book, it'll probably help you understand more and not be a fool
@RupeeClock that's not even remotely true. Nintendo gets paid by the publisher for the cartridges, and that's about the extent of their involvement with third party releases. Everything else is determined by the publisher themselves, including SRP (which is not legally enforceable in Europe anyway), and the fact that this kind of markup over the digital version didn't even provide a retail release for this game is criminal. I guess 505 is just continuing their streak of horrific decisions, including the whole Control kerfuffle
@WiltonRoots you know they have the March 31st article done already, to generate another 200 angry comments and whatnot (for something that has been on sale for several months and was always announced as a ltd edition).
@WiltonRoots man what a wild ride that post was, reading it today is probably funnier than it ever was. At least one or two of those were disappointed Nintendo fans being salty, these days all we get is Agramonte telling us what he likes to play AT HOME and ON THE GO and how the PS4 is the best console ever
Just remembered some others as well but they're pretty much dead across all platforms: Epic Mickey, Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Ninja Gaiden. Warriors Orochi 3 got a sequel on the Switch so that's very unlikely
Since you've got third party Wii U games on the list, you're missing some gems (some were previously mentioned): Need for Speed Most Wanted (best version of the game), Splinter Cell Blacklist, the Arkham Games including porting Asylum, Mass Effect 3 (first two would be nice as well). Don't know what Activision would do with the two Call of Duties considering they haven't remastered BOPS 2 but I find it amazing the Wii U got 2 of them while the Switch is even missing the remasters of CODs that were on the Wii! Injustice is probably a no unless they bundle it with the second I guess and Tekken Tag Tournament has been dead for years. Can't think of anything else missing
@Tuulenpoika Agree 100%. I'd also lay a lot of the blame on the developers/publisher, who thought it'd be a good idea to make a game like this a limited release. Are they actually so stupid to think that SOR wouldn't sell in traditional retail or even Amazon?
@ItsOKToBeOK in this respect, you are correct. But in saying that it was a C-tier series, not really. Especially comparing it to something like Pikmin, which has been MIA for years
@ItsOKToBeOK no one in their right mind would think the way you think when the two previous entries sold 12.5 and 11.75 million respectively. C-tier, lol
@WiltonRoots oh man I haven't seen that name for so long, almost forgot he existed. Thank God they banned him, place is a lot less miserable even though there are still plenty of trolls around
@TheNewButler maybe, maybe not. Production is just one link in a massive supply chain though and most Western countries entered lockdown in March. I doubt they will make it to 2020 under the current circumstances but we'll see I guess-the fact that atm they are both going with a generic "holidays 2020" release date doesn't inspire confidence either.
@TheNewButler I don't think he's saying they won't have an effect. They will for sure, although I highly doubt they will be launching in 2020 anymore, and by the time they do I'm pretty sure Switch will have sold 70 million consoles easily. I'm not exactly sure you can dump 70 million console owners that easily, plus as with each gen the first few years will see mostly cross-gen releases anyway
@ZeldaNX all they need to do when the new consoles are out is a price cut to say 250 euros for the regular Switch and 180-190 euros for the Lite which will be easier at the time as the price of parts has certainly gone down since it came out.
@ThanosReXXX always refreshing to see someone with a marketing background putting things in perspective! To add to what you said, and to correct a misconception some might have, Nintendo never "abandoned" E3 per se, just the live presentation part of it. Their booth space is actually bigger than it used to be (and one of the biggest anyway) and the company as a whole has a massive presence, incl. the Treehouse presentations. It's no accident people still remember specific E3 moments or whole presentations but almost never for any other show, and there's a reason for that.
@WiltonRoots hey dude, all's well, I've found that playing Switch games is a better use of my time than commenting here although I've been tempted a few times! Hope all's well with you, a while ago you gave me your SW friend code but I can't seem to find it, mind sending it again so I can add you?
@Emob Absolutely. This cancer begun with the Vita but at least there they could justify it because Vita games had almost zero retail presence and people wanted to get some of the games one way or another (and by the end of it too a lot of physical Vita stuff was just crap that people bought because hey, physical). Now the exact same disease has spread on the Switch even though its retail offerings are hundreds and widely available. Let's not even get to the fact that they also make money on shipping, which many do not seem to realize (plus, the majority of games they publish are just trash)
@Spudtendo depends. Haven't played that one, but something like Gal Gun proves that you can have very good gameplay alongside lewd fanservice. I'm not overly concerned, this is from Idea Factory and Compile Heart and their previous games were mostly very enjoyable
@BacklogBlues it's because these titles are published by Arc System Works in the US. Maybe they'll be in a different sale in the future. I would recommend Cat Quest 100%, and some of the VN's are excellent as well.
@Ralizah re: your last paragraph, not just the PS4 but the Vita as well, half its library (I exaggerate but not by much) is Japanese raunchy games in various styles-dungeon crawlers, visual novels, etc., and they were fine accepting them then because let's face it, they couldn't do otherwise or its already poor library would be decimated.
@kdawg2k I'm amazed that NL hasn't bothered to write an article detailing all the changes made to the game based on player feedback and due to that all articles in relation to the game are full of negative points about the demo that have been addressed
I was expecting Agramonte to troll us with some idiotic irrelevant statement yet @Tasuki managed to post something even more stupid. Off to Push Square troll
@AlternateButtons I don't know why people even bother responding to you seeing that these games have nothing to do with Nintendo - except the fact that they are coming to the Switch (and other platforms that won't see a western release either). Try Konami and whoever makes the other two games
@Realnoize you're both right and wrong. Indie studios are exactly what you described, but Ninja Theory wouldn't fall under that category for any game before Hellblade. publishers for their previous games include Sony, Capcom, Bandai Namco and Disney. So no, not an indie by any stretch of the imagination
@Agramonte NL is not obliged to reproduce an entire financial briefing or press release, you want those, go to Activision's website. Number 2 (the cash bonus) might as well be an urban legend as you keep repeating it yet with no sources. I didn't leave out 2014, but that happened 5 years ago. This is happening now. Stop being a corporate apologist, you aren't making any money out of it

@dsparil Lowest it's ever been is $4.54 and it's been on sale 4 times since it came out 2 and a half years ago: https://psprices.com/region-us/game/1805465/cat-quest
Definitely not one of those mentioned here

@BacklogBlues it's because these titles are published by Arc System Works in the US. Maybe they'll be in a different sale in the future. I would recommend Cat Quest 100%, and some of the VN's are excellent as well.
Re: PQube Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Switch Sale, Up To 60% Off 18 Different Games
@sonicmeerkat North America as well, except for the games that don't have a US price (the 2 Blazblues, the 2 Guilty Gears and Worldend Syndrome)
