@Sebos The preservation argument is nonsense. Digital games can be dumped and preserved. Do you think that all the digital only 3DS games are lost now that the eshop shutdown? Everything is available to download somewhere. I like physical games too, but over time they will start to decay with disc rot and all that.
@CJD87 My experience playing the demo docked in Switch 2 is that the game was pretty pixilated and I don't usually notice that sort of thing. It's definitely still playable on Switch, but it sort of ruins the art style which is a shame because it looks amazing on other platforms.
Wanted to get this on Switch 2 and thought I'd just get the game on PS5 after reading this review, but apparently that version is also bad. I'm just going to pass and buy it if it gets fixed.
A lot of people here seem to not like the time limit and stamina systems, but the game is designed around it and I don't think it would work very well without them. A big part of the fun is managing your time and planning ahead, kind of like Pikmin. I definitely understand why people find that stressful and don't enjoy it though.
The comments on this post are full of even more insane people than usual. Tekken 8 is a fair bit more intensive than Street Fighter 6 so it would take a decent amount of time and money to port which might not be worth it financially. The game also has a pretty bad reputation at the moment.
@Anti-Matter I really don't think the majority of people care about game key cards it's only a loud minority of hardcore fans. The Switch 1 had plenty of games that required a download or were just a code in a box. Xbox and PlayStation have also had this for a lot of games for years now.
@sanderev The point is that the game comes out in a month and nothings been shown aside from the destructability. If there's not much else to it then I'd imagine it'd get boring pretty quickly. Right now it really does look like a fancy tech demo.
@sanderev I don't think the tech demo comment is unreasonable. It could be that the game just doesn't work well as a demo, but the whole breaking everything gimmick didn't really look that fun. Quite a few people who played the game were a bit worried about it. Definitely not saying it's going to be bad, but I really hope there's more to it.
Right now it's a 6 or 7 for me. There's a lot of things I don't like, but if they just removed the intermissions for grandprix and online the game would be significantly better.
The game's definitely not bad or anything, but it's a very flawed Mario Kart and that's pretty underwhelming for the big launch game. Free roam is really empty and the p-switches are mostly repetitive don't add much. I would've loved it as a kid, but that's not really a complement. Also the intermissions are really boring and I wish I could turn them off in online and grand prix. I'm glad I got this in the bundle because I'd be really disappointed if I payed full price.
@IronMan30 People aren't talking about it because this isn't the first time Sony have put one of their games on Switch. The Patapon remasters come out next month and the Lego Horizon game got a lot of attention last year.
I'm probably in the minority here but I'd prefer to have a much smaller screen. The Switch is already big for a portable console and making it larger just defeats the purpose.
This might be unpopular, but aside from graphical downgrades, I don't think Pokemon has gotten any worse. I enjoyed Pokemon X when I was younger, but playing some of the older ones as well as the recent ones makes me think they're pretty middling without a lot of nostalgia for them.
I do really enjoy the game but it's definitely my least favorite in the series. I've gotten used to the controls but they're still far from ideal and I'm not a fan of the new characters and excessive dialogue. Still at least an 8/10 for me because the core Pikmin gameplay is so much fun.
Bought the game yesterday and as much as I want to see it do well, I think it's pretty safe to say it's going to bomb hard. As far as I'm aware it's not even getting a Japanese release.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (Switch 2) - Samus Returns In Prime Form
@JaxonH People are allowed to have different opinions. A reviewer isn't unfair or biased just because they dislike a videogame you like.
Re: Anniversary: Monolith Soft Celebrates Xenoblade Chronicles 2 With A Post, But We're Desperate For A Switch 2 Revamp
Normally I don't notice low resolutions and frame rates that much, but Xenoblade 2 in handheld is really rough. Hope it gets a Switch 2 patch.
Re: Surprise! Pikmin 4 Is Getting A Free Content Update On Switch Next Month
It's nice to see more difficulty options but I really wish they'd fix he controls. The auto lock on was really annoying.

Re: The Switch eShop And Steam Are Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
I'm not even interested in the game but it still doesn't feel real that it's finally released. Need to give Hollow Knight another go at some point.

Re: Stardew Valley Creator Announces Version 1.7 Update
@Inc The game sold over 40 million copies I don't think the developer needed any financing for this.

Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
@johnedwin The PS4 version ran at 30fps so I'm not sure why this is surprising?

Re: Level-5 Delays Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road For Switch And Switch 2
Crazy to think the game was announced almost a decade ago
Re: Switch Port Specialist Believes Switch 2 Can Surpass Its Predecessor's Success
@johnedwin I prefer physical games too, but I really don't think the general public cares. Games requiring a download isn't new.
