@MsJubilee It's not just you. I can't get behind the art direction as it makes it seem like a mobile game, which is a real shame. At first glance I honestly though this must just be a collection of two Langrisser mobile ports that were Japan exclusives.

I truly wonder, given recent events, if Nintendo would be okay with a continued representation in Blizzard's games. The big N seems pretty serious about brand reputation

Looks neat, but silicone wrist bands are a hard pass. Makes it look a little young (intentional, I'm sure) and makes my wrists sweat more than I'm okay with

Looks great, but I really don't like the design of the thing itself. I get it, but having the buttons blend in with the machine is just horrible

I'd go for $10 maybe but $30 is a hard ask. I know people like to turn their noses up at it, but $20 for a year of Nintendo online for quite a good pile of NES/SNES games is a great deal and kind of puts this in perspective.
Heck, $20 for either Konami Collection puts this in perspective. If they want to charge this much for genesis they need to include more games. That same price gets you 50ish games in the genesis collection. More games or lower the price. Pick one.

Been playing om Xbox. It's worth the wait. The game is everything I wanted it to be. If they do a good job on the port it'll be a must play

@JHDK You're not that weird. I had some fun with Okami-Den but I just can't like Okami. I've tried quite a few times, it's just not for me.

Something I'm not sure the anti-censorship crowd may not realise, is marketing towards regional demographics requires this. Different cultures have different social norms. The vocal group may be for the game in its original context, but most western consumers will not buy a game designed to appeal to japanese consumers. Realistically, games that are notamended to appeal to the majority won't sell as well. Look at Earthbound for example. So many things were changed to make it palatable and people loved it. If those things weren't changed, it may not have been purchased let alone appreciated.

@Tasuki Nah. People use what platform they have to say what needs to be said. If you have a speaker and choose to say nothing while people suffer, you're helping to hide the issue.
"Politics" belong wherever they are needed. And if it takes a game to get people to think about the fight against oppression in Hong Kong, so be it.

@MarioFan02 That could be, but I don't think they'd take on the bad press at the moment. Realistically, and I know it was a joke, but I think Tencent may actually be the right partner. Matches ideals as well as gameplay direction. Probably end up with a better diablo then what Bliz has lined up on their own

@Tasuki ...are you blaming consumers? Blizzard turned it into a political circus all on their own. Punishing someone for speaking out for their home country, then releasing contradictory statements depending on the region. Not consumers fault they're doing that.

@MarioFan02 I kind of hope activision does cut ties. As it stands, they're associated with Blizzard's mess regardless of whether they like it

@Zuljaras you are mistaken about the law. The original issue was somebody arrested in Hong Kong would be taken to mainland China to be tried, rather than being tried in Hong Kong where the crime took place. With mainland China having different & much stricter laws, this could mean a misdemeanor turning into a death sentence. It has since grown into a fight about freedom & democracy. Since Hong Kong is essentially its own autonomous democratic country, they don't feel like they should be governed by communist rule.

@Zuljaras (being as vague as possible so as not to discuss the p word) but you may want to read up on that user agreement, based on your comments I don't think you're picking up whats happening here. Not as simple as you stated. A bit shifty all in all.

Not terrible, but you'll likely forget the plot after a few months. I cannot remember the name of a single character. That may just be me, but I doubt it

There are so many better SRPGs. This isn't terrible, but if you're willing to shell out extra for the collectors version of this you can likely afford to just go with a much better game

Why not just make 2020 a dlc pack at this point. Cheaper for fans than selling $10 DLC as a whole new thing

@MrBlacky Yes, of course I know that. But Marvel owns the Spiderman brand, and still has to work with Sony to make movies. Copyright law is weird and I don't know the finer details of the agreement between Capcom & Nintendo regarding the Oracle games. I'm not a copyright lawyer.

@MrBlacky Because they're the developer and their name pops up front and center when you pop in the game.
