Kamek's trick animations look sick, I'm looking forward to those

5/10 and 10/10 simultaneously.

The pacing was weird, the writing was sloppy (which is to be expected from an Illumination film, but still), licensed songs replacing good tracks from the OST is tragic, overall the movie could use a lot of work.

At the same time, I have never had that good of a movie-going experience. The movie looks and sounds amazing, it was incredibly funny, and at times the movie is so absurd that I was laughing until my lungs hurt. I'm hesitant to call it "good", but I did absolutely love it.

I only get to pick ONE!? This is a cruel question. The answer changes constantly but at the time of writing i guess it would probably be Fatal Blooms in Moonlight from Kirby Triple Deluxe . Final boss themes from Kirby always just hit different, man

Tricolor felt horribly imbalanced in favour of attacking, but when you're not getting splatted every 2 seconds being defender isn't that bad. Though I do wish the defenders actually had some way to... defend

I get why f2p Splatoon seems like a good idea, but do you really want Splatoon to be ruined by f2p nonsense? I personally can't stand the idea of something like a Fortnite-esque shop in the games, especially since clothes directly correlate to power with their buffs rather than just being cosmetic.

I've seen people saying you can beat the game in under 50 hours so it's pretty interesting to see (what I at least consider to be) an actually reliable source say that it's almost double the length.

I assume it's just a difference in people's definitions of the words "main campaign". I can see why you would count hero quests for example as main missions.

@Eel well that's a depressing thought. Watching E3 streams is the best part of my summer every year, I hope this isn't the end.

I NEED IT. I don't even have the game physically, but I loved my time with it so much that I might get it at a later date as a collector's item. If I do I'm totally stealing this dude's design

I get not liking games that are hundreds of hours long (I usually don't either tbh), but it really bums me out seeing so many people talk about this as if it's a bad thing. If it's not your type of game then move the hell along, stop ruining the fun with your apparently superior opinions

@quinnyboy58 OoT is also a subjective choice. This is why having a vote like this is so nonsensical. Everyone has their favourites and it will look weird to them when it's not represented. Choosing one winner is impossible

I appreciate the thought but this just isn't a fair... anything. No single game deserves to win or lose

if they're actually gonna change it to play more like V then I'm probably playing them on pc instead. If they were just direct ports I would totally... not spend 60€ on it but if I did it would be on switch

I feel like it would've been better if they cut out some stuff. Like, I love Dying Light 1 and I'm super hyped for 2 but spending an entire minute on them slowed down the pace a lot. And it's not just them either, I feel like this direct could've and should've been 10-15 minutes shorter.

It wasn't all bad though. A 3D Kirby game, the NSO expansion, a new Yoko Taro game, Bayo's fantastic redesign, etc, etc. It had some seriously fantastic announcements. I'd give it a solid 6/10... is what I would say if we didn't get the best trailer I've ever seen for a Nintendo game near the end of it.

Splatoon 3 looks like it's shaping up to be the most abstract game we've gotten from Nintendo in years and I can barely contain my excitement. I must've watched the trailer 100 times by now, it's so good. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this direct. Now they just have to stick the landing on October 5th and 2021 will have been fantastic year for Nintendo and Nintendo fans alike.

can't wait to play The Division 2 yet again but on Netflix this time

this dude has gotten more done in the last 5 years than most people do in 40. He deserves it.

I was so hyped and taken aback by the end of the splatoon 3 trailer that I was literally crying. That announcement alone would've been enough for me to consider this a good direct but it didn't stop there (or I guess it did since that was the final announcement but you get what I mean).

other than that, I never got to play Skyward Sword so I'm looking forward to that, same thing with miitopia, new Mario Golf seems like a lot of fun, triangle strategy seems fun even though I hate strategy games, stubbs the zombie is back and I ain't complaining, worlds end club seems promising and Pyra/Mythra in smash is hype. Can't go wrong with big tiddy sword waifus, right?

I can't be bothered to fire up the Wii U, man. It's easier to just burn 60$ on the eShop + I get bowsers fury. I see no reason to not buy it again

Robobot got the #1 spot. I am very pleased with this result

people seem to think Gabe never actually made any games, but he was a big part in making some of the games ya'll love most. Half-life 1&2, portal, etc.

@Jakiboy you gotta remember that a large part of the player base is Japanese. A lot of the characters that you see as generic anime sword fighters are icons, e.g. Hero, Sephiroth, etc.

I honestly don't mind if it's a clone. I enjoyed BotW a lot and now I can have it but with a dose of anime which is something I love.

I really miss the old Exit the Gungeon icon. It was so simple, it looked so good.

I had no expectations so I can't say I was disappointed but it was still very underwhelming. The Japanese version of the direct had more games and less rogue company so I recommend watching that if you wanted more. I know anime games aren't everyone's cup of tea but I personally enjoyed it more than the version we got here.

Overall it's a fine mini-direct but I can't say it was very noteworthy

Ah yes, my favourite Animal Crossing villager, Raymond Kenney.

Slime Rancher definitely deserves to be on this list. You can't not feel relaxed when you're playing it
