Physical games are often made even more beloved with the addition of sleeves or steelbooks. Unfortunately, Nintendo rarely offers up such extras for its products (rare examples include steelbooks for the collector's editions of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Xenoblade Chronicles 2), with most of their fancy special editions generally containing art books, postcards, stickers, and other such trinkets.
With that in mind, Twitter user @CartoonHijinks bucked the trend and created their own sleeve for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and we think it's absolutely stunning - not to mention hilarious! It plays on the idea that Kirby essentially wolfs down anything and everything he can get his hands on, with the opening of the sleeve presumably in place of Kirby's mouth.
It's a wonderfully creative use of the character, and it certainly glams up the otherwise pretty bog-standard box art for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Hopefully, we'll see some more examples when the year's new releases arrive!

This definitely seems more appropriate and is very beautifully made!
❗️Takedown by Nintendo in 5️⃣, 4️⃣, 3️⃣...
I would buy that. Looks great
Love this, absolute need!
Nice! Would definitely buy one of these if I was worried about the game case getting cold...
More packaging! More!!!
Mooooorrrrrrrrreeeeee!!!
Not bad I guess but I actually liked the box art for Forgotten Land.
Nintendo Japan did a thing like this for Switch Consoles.
“Was going to make a Steelbook”.
Just, as you do.
In before some dullard mentions the words “takedown”……
Edit - oh too late
Uh, "stunning" is a strong word. It's "cool", "creative", "cute", "delicious", "Kirb-tastic", etc.
Playing BOTW for the first time is/was "stunning."
Wow... I'm stunned by how much of a jerk I look like right now...
Remember those New 3DS plate things? I saw this and couldn't help but think how amazing this would be as one of those. Or maybe they already did that already maybe.
Ah yes it will make that inch on your shelf you can actually see when the game is stored forever in a week so much...uhh pinker.
That looks pretty neat to be fair.
I love the case! But, one minor quibble with the article... can we stop using the "Nintendon't meme?" It stopped being cute about 10-years-ago and is now just very tired. It was always kinda cringy, even when Sega came up with it in the 90s. It just feels like remember the 90s kids? Remember the 90s console wars? I'm sure there are more fun things you can use as a subheader.
Stunning custom Kirby sleeve. What a mouthful.
I NEED IT. I don't even have the game physically, but I loved my time with it so much that I might get it at a later date as a collector's item. If I do I'm totally stealing this dude's design
Removed - unconstructive feedback
@RandomNerds Breath of the Wild was uninspiring, tedious, and boring. Definitely not the best entry in the Zelda franchise by a long shot.
@ChipBoundary Never said it was the best. 💁
