Kirby Sleeve

Physical games are often made even more beloved with the addition of sleeves or steelbooks. Unfortunately, Nintendo rarely offers up such extras for its products (rare examples include steelbooks for the collector's editions of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Xenoblade Chronicles 2), with most of their fancy special editions generally containing art books, postcards, stickers, and other such trinkets.

With that in mind, Twitter user @CartoonHijinks bucked the trend and created their own sleeve for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and we think it's absolutely stunning - not to mention hilarious! It plays on the idea that Kirby essentially wolfs down anything and everything he can get his hands on, with the opening of the sleeve presumably in place of Kirby's mouth.

It's a wonderfully creative use of the character, and it certainly glams up the otherwise pretty bog-standard box art for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Hopefully, we'll see some more examples when the year's new releases arrive!

What do you think of @CartoonHijinks' customer sleeve design? Which other games do you think would benefit from a sleeve or steelbook? Shout out in the comments below!
