Re: Where To Pre-Order The Zelda: Skyward Sword Zelda Loftwing amiibo

@YoshiAngemon

There is no denying nintendo have made some of the best games ever! Ive owned every nintendo since nes (also had gba, ds, 3ds)
My wiiu is still one of my fav consoles.
Actually, my series x (yes i realize microsoft hasnt released anything triple A in years, but man, playing all the back compat games in hdr upscaled etc is great) and wiiu are both my fav consoles.
At least on wiiu, nintendo was a little more giving, what with all the gba, n64, ds, snes and wii eshop games.
Switch is a good portable hybrid console, but for me, switch is overrated (again, for me, if you love it, im happy for you) and re lack of eshop back compat games (got sick of waiting for metroid 4 they announced all those years ago)and new ones, its also a disappointing one.

Re: Where To Pre-Order The Zelda: Skyward Sword Zelda Loftwing amiibo

TruthisRare

Sold my switch, its just turned into another overhyped, overpriced console that nintendo has abandoned to third parties and trickled out wiiu re releases to keep up appearances, and now another wii re release and they charge you for amiibo for a normal ingame function. Change my mind.
(Watch this space by all the nintendo zealots whi want blood because someone has criticized their idol toy)

@GinMiguel
Most of those games ghost mentioned are for a niche market, and we are not talking about third party games here.
Also, your heading in dangerous territory here, if you want to compare switchs third party games with that of ps4/xbox one, thats another area switch fails. Yes, its had some decent ports, but it does not have games like red dead redemptiin 2, gta, resident evill village etc.
Im talking about nintendos first party games.
Nintendo have ALWAYS been about their in house games

@GinMiguel

Were nintendo a better company then? Well, if you look at wiiu re releases on switch and the eshop now compared to that of wiiu, i think so.
You have super mario 3d world, toads treasure game, tropical freeze, pikmin 3, mario kart 8, botw etc
Then you have wiiu eshop with games from gba, ds, n64, wii, snes etc.
Switch's only real original big hitters for me is mario odyssey, splatoon 2 (which is really splatoon 1.2) and smash bros switch edition, animall crossing.
Ive always considered animal crossing a niche market game, smash bros is more multiplayer focused etc.
Nintendo gave us a half hearted effort in mario 3d allstars, and considering i still have galaxy 1 & 2 on wiiu and mario 64, wasnt that special to me.
I feel the long wait for metroid 4, botw 2, no metroid prime trilogy, no back compat games on eshop, nintendos stingy amiibo type deals with skyward sword, drift issues and the such cannot be ignored.
I believe most people have bought into the hype of the switch because its...doing well.
Just for you sake, im not hating on nintendo, but very disappointed with the switch thats all.
But if your happy with your switch, thats all that matters for you!

Your worship of nintendo clouds the reality that companies are successful because of consumers like myself, who have bought (and spent thousands of dollars) their priducts and supported them through out the years, so, get off your high horse their friend and understand, people are entitled to their opinions.
Bit i do reallize, some peoples allegiance to a company can be so blind, they would defend the said company if they packaged a turd and put it on store shelves

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

@Ghost_of_Hasashi

Still doesnt excuse nintendos laziness (fact: when ever nintendo does well, they sit back and get complacent, they deal out stingy deals like zelda amiibo for fast travel etc)
Why not allow for n64 games on switch by now, its been years. What about gamecube?
Where is metroid prime trilogy to tie some people over?
I just got tired waiting.
Nintendo were ALWAYS at their best when they were the underdogs.
When they ride high, they couldnt give a stuff, and like i said, life is too short, ive moved on

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

@Zachuratedphat

According to you, i cannot complain on a nintendo website about nintendo because why? Because you cant handle a different opinion? Sounda like cancel culture there my friend.
In life, youll find that just because a person has a different opinion doesnt mean their bad, it only means you have to deal with it and get over your emotions getting hurt. Its called real life.
Anyway, if you enjoy the switch, thats all that matters!
As for me, it was overhyped and has lack of triple a titles and no back compat, very disappointing.
Botw is its best game and i can play it on my wiiu, alolng with metroid prime trilogy, zelda ww & tp hd remakes etc....

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

@Ghost_of_Hasashi
Hyrule warriors wasnt made by nintendo, as well as many other games, and lets be honest, hyrule warriors isnt a great game, its just built off of the other wushu games which appeal to certain types.
Again, dont know why people give their fav corporations a free pass each time, its what makes companies lazy knowing people settle for less.
Again, where are the fzeros, the starfoxes, the wave races, the galaxy games, the 3d donkey kongs, the metroids, the back compat games etc.
Nintendo has gold mines there, but when people like u defend their lazy practices, of course they will settle for less.
Anyway, thats just my opinion, i realize it aint the end of the world and the such. If you enjoy the switch, thats all that matters, for me, switch wasnt as good as i thought it would be.
Anyway, im off to play metroid prime 2 on my wiiu!

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

@Zachuratedphat
Am i new to nintendo? Have owned/played nintendo consoles (including 3ds, gba etc) from the nes era (n64 and snes being my favourites)
Nintendo is different now, they are more stingy, anti consumer, and rely way too much on games like pokemon, animal crossing and wiiu re releases when long time fans like myself have been waiting for games like fzero, starfox, metroid , botw 2, not to mention, where are n64, gamecube games to hit the switch.
Anyway, im just having a whinge (obviously alot of nintendo folk here think nintendo should be untouchable)
Life is too short to be waiting, ive just sold my switch and bought series x, and yes, even though microsoft havent released anything in ages, playing all the back compat games in hdr and upscaled is great.

@JasmineDragon
Nintendo not right company for me? Ive owned and played every nintendo console since the nes!
Its that nintendo have changed in the last few years, theyve become more arrogant and stingy (zelda ss amiibo cash grab being one example)
And unlike nintendo fanboy zealots, i can honestly say, nintendo have made some of the best games ever, but, they are not beyond conatructive criticism.

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

TruthisRare

@Ghost_of_Hasashi
Appreciate your effort, thanks.
But, not interested in over half those titles, never been onto jrpg's, animal crossing etc.
Its games many people like myself have been hammering for like fzero follow up, metroid 4 (nintendo did promise this game way too early) wave race game, a mario galaxy type etc
All good, ive just sold my switch and moved on, life is too short to wait around

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

TruthisRare

@MasterJay

Sadly, i just did sell it. Life is short, and sometimes, cant sit around waiting for games, thats just a fact.
Nintendo pretty much has got lucky with the switch, most of its triple a games ive played/own on wiiu.
I do realize nintendo does have a habit of releasing 9ne or two great quality games then just sitting back on them, riding on their success for years.

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Five More Titles

TruthisRare

For me its too little too late. Waited long enough to play what i thought wouldve been a certainty on switch; gamecube, n64 etc games.
Since nintendos triple A titles take eons to come out, they couldve helped a little with back compat games.
As it is, im selling my switch, my wiiu is still my fav nintendo console, have botw, mario kart 8 etc all those games, as well as many great wii games, n64, snes , gba etc, and i actually can keep them.

Re: Soapbox: Be Happy, This Is The True Golden Age Of Gaming

TruthisRare

Yeah, be happy folks that nintendo couldnt be bothered releasing any new or at least, backward compatible (gamecube, n64 etc) games.
Before the nintendo fanboys start to tell me nintendo can do no wrong and im a sony or microsoft person, umm no.
My switch is currently collecting dust. I play my wiiu way more because of all the back compat games on it and it is still my fav console.
Only other console i play is my series x, and yes, while microsoft are too in a games draught, at least there is game pass and back compat games.
Nintendo may be doing well switch sales, but they are making some disappointing decisions, like, why not at least a metroid prime trilogy to tie us over till metroid 4?

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch Port? Unlikely, Says Former Retro Studios Dev

TruthisRare

Thats why ive kept two of the best consoles that have backward compatibility; xbox one x & wiiu.
I use the wiiu way more than i have the switch.
On the wiiu get to play prime trilogy, the galaxy games, zelda windwaker & tp, then ive got all the n64, snes and gba on wiiu as well.
Best nintendo console.
For me, thats what really hurts the switch, no back compat games.
Not interested in indie games, animal crossing etc. Only games im interested in are botw 2 & metroid 4 if nintendo ever cared about releasing them.
Now, cue the nintendo fanboys telling me to stop being impatient and why nintendo can never do no wrong...

Re: Toys For Bob Is Now A Support Developer For Call Of Duty: Warzone

TruthisRare

@Blizzia
My apologies friend, so many fanboys here, its easy to get lost to who you respond to.
Yes, i feel, in my opinion, and its my opinion, nintendo has rested too much on wiiu re releases, relying on indie games, and not every one loves animal crossing.
Metroid 4 was revealed way too early, i believe to get top up sales.
Anyway, there you go, its not the end of the world, nintendo have made some of the best games ever, but, like wiiu, sometimes, they rest too much on their laurels.

Re: Toys For Bob Is Now A Support Developer For Call Of Duty: Warzone

TruthisRare

@CorvoRevo
Actually, its quite funny how ignorant people like u are. I own a snes mini, wiiu and switch, and nintendo games are my primary choice of games.
BUT, unlike u, (a true fanboy is one who gets offended and sooks when their favourite hobby/product/toy gets criticized, a bit ...like...u)
Im mature enough to voice constructive criticism to a platform i love. I know it takes a little bit of brain to do that, but today there is a serious lack of that)

Re: Toys For Bob Is Now A Support Developer For Call Of Duty: Warzone

TruthisRare

But yet, nintendo can bolster amount of switch units for sale, in spite of pandemic.
Just sad they announced games like metroid 4 and botw 2 ages ago, yet nothing.
Nintendo does practice this alot, as i also was an early adopter of the wiiu.
Its ok to criticize dude, im not "hating" on nintendo, but it almost seems like a crime these days to question companies like nintendo because of zealot fanboys.

Re: Talking Point: Why Did Nintendo Give Up On Its 'Classic Edition' Concept So Soon?

TruthisRare

Must be hard for gaming websites at the moment, and that includes nintendo life, as microsoft, sony and nintendo cant be bothered releasing any more triple A games for their consoles.
Websites obviously dont have many games to write articles on (apart from mainly indie games)
Imagine nintendo releasing an n64 mini, giving us a release date for metroid 4 & botw 2, a trailer reveal for a new mario odyssey, or dare i say, galaxy game!
I can only dream at the moment, game industry is dead at the moment.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo And The Industry Needs To Get Serious About Game Preservation

TruthisRare

Gaming preservation is very important considering most modern games are garbage, and nintendo have become tight ringed greed mongers, ie snes games via subscription, no n64, gamecube, wii games on switch, pretty sad to be honest. (I bought the switch in the hope i would see some of those consoles classic titles on the system)
Thankfully, ive kept my wiiu which has a huge catalogue of wiiu, wii, n64, snes, gba games, and my one x, both consoles which are still my favourites because of the back catalogues.
Switch collects dust mist of the time for me now, apart from when i play mario odyssey or botw every now and again.
Again, for me, modern gaming is pretty much dead.
