Might keep an eye on it to see what people thinks of it but this game looks funky. That cat creature looks creepy, the humans looks odd and the graphics looks otherwise bad

@nessisonett Mainly used that example since it was in the same game. If I remember correctly other languages kept the genders. And despite their reasons, they still were removed from the game and therefor "lost" in the English version.

Whereas for example Xenoblade chronicles 2 "translating" 'super bikini armor' to 'fluffy bunny costume' is just botchered translation.

Or if this article is correct, the joke is lost to people outside of Japan due to the word kappa. Sorta the same as if Ace Attorney characters kept their Japanese names.

Atleast its not lost due to being outright removed like genders male / female text at the choosing your gender at the beginning were in the English version.

Will keep an eye on it. Don't care for dubs, but the game looks like it could be fun as long as it does not end up censored for some reason.

@ivory_soul Steam are a bit hypocritical when it comes to what they allow or not. They allow some porn content sure, but for eroge you often need offsite patches to actually get the H content. And they banned Evenicle 2. (There are other examples too but Evenicle 2 is the first one that came to mind)

Censorship might not be "as bad" but it certainly still exists. Maybe not the goverment-kind, but censorship in general is still here. Only now it has started to affect Japan more too.

@pariah164 Sony has started to censor stuff like Senran Kagura too, sadly. English version Burst:Renewal is missing the intimacy mode. Newer games are sadly made to meet Sony's godawfull policies instead of droping Sony for Nintendo and Steam.

@HedgehogEngine Just because you don't care about censorship in games does not mean others don't. I care a great deal about censorship in games I consider buying and these types of articles are great to inform me about games I might not otherwise have known about or known were censored.

@victordamazio Was this game even announced before the censorship was mentioned? They mentioned both version in the video I saw the first time I heard about this game.

@Purgatorium While cases like this and Omega labyrinth life are funny due to how they promote said censorship, its understandable people don't like censorhip in general. Like if thry absolutely must censor a game, make it optional, give people the chance to play it uncensored if they wish.

@wonderclassic Yeah the women could have been wearing a bit more revealing stuff. Two of them atleast, the one one the left should have been seen from the front. But sadly, ESRB has a issue with "too" sexy covers.

There probably are someone out there who finds him attractive.
Personally, animals, including humanoid animals that are more human than animal like the cats in Nekopara is a instant un-sexy factor.

@Mario500 The COVID 19 pandemic. Sakurai said in one of the presentations that there was a character they at the time wanted to have in Ultimate but had not gotten the rights to yet due owner of said character only wanted to deal in person.

@FNL If anything, I agree Kirby, Zelda, Streetfighter and Megaman could have had more characters than they currently have, I just disagree with FE didn't need those we currently have and they are overkill.I happen to want more FE characters than we currently have. @FNL Personaly I don't belive any franchise is overrepresented in Smash, I just asked how you felt about those two since Mario has 11 fighters and Pokémon also have 8.

Sakurai at one point needed a iv drip. Its very possible he worked himself almost to death back then. He has later said its less stressfull to work on the DLC, so its very possible him almost working himself to death and playing Playstation were at different times so the situation would be different.

Do you have a link to him claming K. Rool and Belmonts would not be interesting? Its still possible he himself don't find them interesting as characters but added them due to the ballot.

Sakurai might like the FE characters as characters in FE but agree with people that they are well represented in Smash but Nintendo tells him to add more.

When did he lie about the ballots? Bayonetta was number 1. in Europe and top 5. of realizeable characters in 2015. Sora won. But they did not get the rights to him until around 2019 or so. Nintendo was suprised to see how well K. Rool and Banjo scored. We know that out of characters who were not even game characters, SpongeBob and Iron Man did well.

@FNL No franchise is particulary over represented in Smash. If anything they are under represented when it comes to stages. Do you also think Mario and Pokémon are over represented?

@Harmonie Leaf / Blue the female trainer from FRLG is in the poster for these episodes so it would be weird if she is not there. Its her Lets go design, so they are probably explaining why she wants Mewtwo or something like that.

@FNL Marth, Roy, Ike, Corrin and Byleth plays differently. This is like if someone were to complain that Mario characters looks similar. The reason FE is "overrepresented" is because Everyone is here, Nintendo choose the DLC and Chrom was an easy echo for a heavily requested character.

Melee had Marth and Roy.
Brawl had Marth and Ike.
3DS / Wii U had Marth, Ike, Lucina and Robin. Then got Roy back due to popular demand. And then got Corrin because Nintendo wanted him.

There are strong possibilities neither Corrin or Byleth would have been added if Nintendo did not request those games to be represented in Smash.

Sakurai might be an obsessive gamer at home, but base game rooster additions for the most part seems to be what people ask for (he can't please absolutely everyone) and DLC is choosed by Nintendo.

Very glad they managed to work it out, Sora is my favorite of the newcomers in Ultimate.
If Sora is not the character Sakurai mentioned in one of the presentations when he said there was one character he wanted but had a hard time getting because the owner only wanted to meet in person and Japan had COVID at the time, I wonder who that character was.

@nessisonett Its not like only eroges are bad, there are bad non-eroge VNs too. One man's trash, another guy's treasure as the saying goes.

Hope it gets a physical release in Norway, but will buy it even if its digital only. Its a great movie, and PC/DS game was decent

Yeah I look forward to Sora joining Smash. He is really cool. He was not my personal most wanted but he is fantastic and a amazing choice to end the fighter pass on.

I love it! The presentation had me giddy since I saw the Mickey shape attached to the keyblade. Easily the most hype any of the DLC fighters has given me. Only thing I didn't love is that I have to rebuy that music game to get that one track. (Got all the Kingdom Hearts games on PS4)
