@Adol-Bannings It is, but Columbia Records, as stated in the original post, is owned by Sony Corporation of America, which would still technically make it an American label (to say nothing of Columbia's original founding in Washington DC, way back in the day). I think the editors have since amended it to include "[Nippon] Columbia" after the original article was released. Nippon Columbia, I will happily concede, is a Japanese record label.

Breath of the Kingdom and Tears of the Wild for me XD

Weird that the Japanese version went with the title Super Donkey Kong instead of Donkey Kong Country. I suppose it's in line with the naming conventions of the SNES, but DKC seems much more iconic as a game title.

I've only started to scratch the Surface of Tears of the Kingdom, but I'm pretty sure TotK > BotW (though both are great games)

@Coalescence The list includes all Nintendo first party titles - the official Japanese name for the vouchers are "Nintendo catalogue tickets" - and the new Zelda would obviously fall into that category (i.e. part of the Nintendo catalogue), so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work.

Just got a Switch last year, so after finishing Metroid Dread, it was all Breath of the Wild for me.

Captain Tsubasa as an anime series have been extremely popular and influential in the West, perhaps just not in the Anglo-Saxon regions, as others here have already noted. Top stars like Mbappe, Neymar, Benzema, Iniesta, and countless others have gone on record stating that watching the show served as an inspiration for them growing up and becoming footballers.

So to say that the series is "not so popular" outside of Japan is quite wide of the mark.

Already played a quick round after midnight before bed last night!

Most interesting thing I learned from the "Ask the Developer" series is the fact that the original prototype for Splatoon involved two slabs of Tofu (of all things!) squirting out ink to claim territory. As development progressed, they apparently changed it from Tofu, to Rabbits, to its final form of Squids/Inklings.

I think labeling this clip as a "trailer" is misleading, as its main purpose is to explain the basic premise of Splatoon to someone who has never played it before (the Japanese thumbnail caption literally says "for those who are about to begin Splatoon").

In other words, the target audience for this clip is complete newbies - whom they want to appeal to so they can actively grow the player base. Of course there's not much new information on Splatoon 3, as all of that was already in the Splatoon Direct!

Re: The Iliad, ancient Greek epic poetry was meant to be read aloud and sung/performed orally with accompanying music, so it makes sense that the author finds it better as something to be listened to, as opposed to something to be read (like a book).

My first Switch is the OLED model. Late to the party, I know, but Metroid Dread finally convinced me to get on the bandwagon. (I am also having a blast playing through 5 year's worth of killer titles on the system)

I was just playing Portal 2 for the first time on my old PS3 - what a great game! Excited to be able to pick it up on Switch and also catch up on what I missed in Portal 1.
