@xavieruniverse It sounds like you get annoyed very easily if simple comments like that get on your nerves. It's a comment section, dude, people are only sharing their thoughts.
@PtM I know, I'm still not interested in it though since it's related to Fortnite. I don't hate it like most people in this comment section, it's just a franchise that I've never cared about. Plus, Lego Fortnite is a Minecraft/Animal Crossing hybrid, which means I won't like it because games like that aren't my forte. Not to mention the huge amounts of time you have to put into these types of games to get any actual enjoyment out of them.
The first game that I played on my Switch in 2023 was Melatonin. Which it said was a “Great start!” but I’d say it’s more of a decent start if anything.
Games played: 68
With a total of 842 hours
My most played games being:
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
(326 hours)
—————————————————
Fire Emblem Engage
(147 hours)
—————————————————
Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE
(61 hours)
I'll be continuing Wandersong. It's a really great game so far; I'm really loving the art style and the humor. Then I'll start playing Cthulhu Saves Christmas whenever I finish that game.
@JR150 I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Engage since I'm not into SRPGs. I was shocked to find out that I had put in 135 hours into that game after I finished it.
It'll suck to not have as many characters in the next Smash game as Ultimate but if it means a more balanced roster with even more requested characters added to the roster then I'm all for it.
@GooseLoose1 "This is a vote on who had the best reveal."
Which still means Banjo & Kazooie shouldn't be #1 because they definitely didn't have the best reveal trailer. Especially with it being a rehash of King K. Rool's trailer.
@iLikeUrAttitude Nostalgia definitely played a role in Banjo & Kazooie's reveal trailer winning. There's no way someone watched their trailer and actually thought it was better than the reveal trailers for Sephiroth, Sora, and the Belmonts.
I beat Nessy The Robot a little while ago and despite the short length, the easy difficulty, some frame rate drops during a few boss fights, and some blind jumps you have to make in the post game, it was pretty enjoyable.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - The crappy online, how tedious World of Light can be, the fact that everyone has the same special stage in single player, replacing trophies with PNGs making them less fun to collect, and having the worst All-Star mode in the series.
No More Heroes 1 - The motorcycle controls, how grindy the game can get especially when you’re going for the true ending, and the stupid scorpion mission.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - The motion controls for the ball puzzle mini game.
Super Mario RPG - The platforming because of the isometric view.
Definitely Sephiroth with how badass they made him look in his reveal trailer with him single-handedly slicing Galeem in half and the silhouette of him looking like he stabbed Mario. That trailer was just perfection.
@Zeroo After reading the article, it’s seems like a good game despite the graphics and the frame rate. So there’s probably another reason as to why they didn’t send out review codes.
I’ve never gotten into Dragon Quest so I’ll be skipping this. But judging by the quotes in this article, it sounds like people really like it, so hopefully fans of this series end up enjoying this game.
@Zeroo Even from the trailer you could tell the frame rate wasn’t very good. But I’m surprised to hear that it looks worse than Scarlet and Violet because graphically the game actually looked pretty good, in my opinion.
Regarding the marketing though, that’s really unfortunate for anyone that was hoping it would do well so they would release more of Dragon Quest Monsters’ games outside of Japan. It really does seem like they just want an excuse to not localize it. Just like how Bandai Namco treated Klonoa last year, except this time Square Enix actually bothered to release a physical version in the US.
I’ll be continuing Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I should be able to finish the game on Sunday since I’ll be busy today and will only be able to play it for a few hours.
@Yosher Which is weird because they clearly could have used one of the 3 extra spaces to add an avatar for him. Oh well. 😔
I was also hoping for an avatar of Culex 3D, but I guess they didn't want to spoil one of the bosses you fight in the post game. So that's understandable.
@somnambulance Another Code: Recollection, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Princess Peach: Showtime, and DecaPolice.
I don’t even know how I’m going to find the time to play the first 4 though when they release so close to each other. (Especially with Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 releasing on the same day lol)
Edit: I guess it’s 8 games because I forgot Another Code: Recollection comes with 2 games on one cartridge.

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th December (North America)
Nothing for me this week. Honestly, I don't think I'll be buying anymore games on the Switch until Frogsong releases on January 12th.
Re: Grab A Special Gimmighoul In The Latest Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Distribution
This has to be the lamest gift they've ever distributed.

Well, unfortunately I’m not interested in Fortnite so I’ll just continue to miss out.

Re: Random: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Mod Swaps Out Blue Toad For Rosalina
But why replace Blue Toad though? 😔
Re: Sega Announces New Games In Development For Classic Franchises
@JohnnyMind SEGA usually puts their games on every platform possible so I'm confident that all of the games shown will come to the Switch.
Re: Pikmin 4 Picks Up Best Sim/Strategy Game At The Game Awards 2023

Re: Pikmin 4 Picks Up Best Sim/Strategy Game At The Game Awards 2023
Missed opportunity to put "Plucks Up" instead of "Picks Up" for the title of this article.
Re: Sega Announces New Games In Development For Classic Franchises
@HandheldHaunter No, I'm going to be very hyped about a new Crazy Taxi and inevitably be disappointed and there's nothing you can do stop me!
Re: The Game Awards GOTY For 2023 Is Baldur's Gate 3
@JohnnyMind I guess some people just have nothing better to do. 🤷
Re: Round Up: Everything Announced At The Game Awards 2023 - All Switch Game Reveals & Trailers
@FishyS @MetalMan And now it's the most voted option.
Edit: WAS the most voted option.
Re: Round Up: Everything Announced At The Game Awards 2023 - All Switch Game Reveals & Trailers
I’m super happy about finally getting another Crazy Taxi after all these years!
Now to hope that it’s not a live service game like it was rumored to be.
Re: Talking Point: What's Next For The Super Smash Bros. Series?
@Yoshif3 At least you have F-Zero 99. Well, until they eventually shut down the servers for that game. But you still have it for now.
Re: Talking Point: What's Next For The Super Smash Bros. Series?
@Anti-Matter Wow, that's very selfish.

Re: Nintendo Download: 7th December (North America)
@Lizuka I hope you'll be buying a physical copy because the box art for Another Code: Recollection looks way too beautiful to not get it physically.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th December (North America)
@Yodalovesu Yeah, that is usually the case nowadays.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th December (North America)
@SBandy1 True. So I guess it’s possible that the developers just never gave out any review codes to anyone.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th December (North America)
@chibichibi The game just released today so of course they’ll need time to actually play the game before doing a review. lol

Re: "Street Fighter With Pillows"? This Family-Friendly Fighter Swings Onto Switch Next Year
The concept is pretty funny so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Definitely Sephiroth with how badass they made him look in his reveal trailer with him single-handedly slicing Galeem in half and the silhouette of him looking like he stabbed Mario. That trailer was just perfection.

Re: Phil Spencer: There Are "No Plans" To Bring Xbox Game Pass To Nintendo Platforms
@Anti-Matter @VoidofLight They can’t seem to make up their mind can they? 😅
I guess they didn’t want to give console players even less of an incentive to own an Xbox.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 2nd)
@UltimateOtaku91 I whole heartedly agree about Super Mario RPG, it’s such a fantastic game! It’s easily my personal favorite game of 2023.
I can just imagine how blown away I’m going to be by the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door if Super Mario RPG impressed me that much!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 2nd)

Re: Random: Waluigi Designer Shares Scrapped Character Art Of "Walpeach"
@Poodlestargenerica Then how do you explain Waluigi? /s
Re: Random: Waluigi Designer Shares Scrapped Character Art Of "Walpeach"
@Drewtendo I had a feeling someone was going to make that joke. 😂
Re: Random: Waluigi Designer Shares Scrapped Character Art Of "Walpeach"
@Mattock1987 Oh god, it'll be Bowsette all over again.
Re: We’ve Played Batman: Arkham Knight On Switch - Here’s 17 Minutes Of Gameplay
That looks pretty rough. 😬
Re: The First Review For Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Is In
@Tyranexx "I suppose SE didn't send out review codes in advance?"
That's most likely the case. Which is a very bad sign because that might mean that they're trying to hide something, if that is true.
Re: The First Review For Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Is In
@BakaForDays Yeah, knowing how much Japan loves Dragon Quest, they probably gave it a near perfect score because of bias instead of bribery.
Or maybe it was both, who knows? 🤷
Re: Random: Super Mario RPG Dev Shares Scrapped Sketch Proposals For SNES Original
@Geno7Stars But we did get a sequel:
In all seriousness though, it would be really great to finally get an official sequel after all these years.
Re: Random: Super Mario RPG Dev Shares Scrapped Sketch Proposals For SNES Original
@OldManHermit I've always wondered that too since they both look very similar to each other.
Re: The First Review For Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Is In
@kpowgames You can even tell from the trailer that the framerate was bad. I don't think the slow walking at the end was intentional.
Re: The First Review For Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Is In
@csward53 They accept bribes?! Well, looks like I'm never taking a Famitsu review seriously ever again.
Re: Switch Online's 'Missions & Rewards' Adds Super Mario RPG Icons
@Yosher Yeah, that's likely going to happen, especially since Smithy didn't get an avatar either for some reason.
Re: Switch Online's 'Missions & Rewards' Adds Super Mario RPG Icons
@Yosher Which is weird because they clearly could have used one of the 3 extra spaces to add an avatar for him. Oh well. 😔
I was also hoping for an avatar of Culex 3D, but I guess they didn't want to spoil one of the bosses you fight in the post game. So that's understandable.
Re: Video: 12 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In December 2023
Hopefully Trip World DX actually releases in the US tomorrow and doesn’t get delayed a third time.
Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam Is Now Set To Release In 2025
@somnambulance Another Code: Recollection, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Princess Peach: Showtime, and DecaPolice.
I don’t even know how I’m going to find the time to play the first 4 though when they release so close to each other. (Especially with Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 releasing on the same day lol)

Re: Talking Point: Would You Like To See More Streaming Media Apps On 'Switch 2'?
I wouldn’t personally use any of them, but I wouldn’t be against having more streaming apps for people who would use them though.
Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam Is Now Set To Release In 2025
@somnambulance It doesn’t look empty to me. There’s already like 7 games I’m excited for next year.
