@NImH The company is not what it used to be. That's for sure. I haven't thrown in the towel on them yet. RE7 was good. A remake of RE2 is on the way. Marvel vs capcom infinite is looking decent. It's not all "doom and gloom" with crapcom.
@TwilightOniAngel Nintendo's online service is far from perfect. Anyone who plays Smash Bro's has probably experienced a few laggy matches. It's even worse that I can't quit said match without being penalized.Lack of voice chat is a issue for me as well.
@faint There's plenty of angry fan's. At least they care enough to stick around and support the company. Most of the people I know haven't cared about Nintendo since the GC day's. Many of them are parents. The kids are happy with their tablets and skylanders on PS3.
@Sabrewing Right? I just picked up FF7 on ps4. Got a few FF remakes on my iPhone as well. SE support really dropped off after the Wii and DS. At least I can play my copy of chrono trigger on 3ds.
@Clownshoes I agree with you. It all starts with Reggie. I truly believe a change in management is long overdue. I just think NOA's shortcomings are due to having clueless people at the top. Why release another version of street fighter 2 or contra 3 on vc when games like Mario rpg and zero mission are available in other regions? NOA just doesn't get it.
I also believe Nintendo of Japan is part of the problem. If the head branch doesn't care about listening to fan feedback, then how could they possibly be aware of the majority of disappointed fan's in NA? I believe that's part of the reason Reggie has been with the company for as long as he has.
@Clownshoes I don't think Reggie and co are lacking intelligence. It's just that the top brass is made up of business executives that have no real interest in gaming. The vc selection in NA alone seems to point to that. Anyway, Reggie's been around since 2003. I don't see him going anywhere. If anything, the top brass in Japan probably think's NOA has been doing a great job with pleasing the fan's.
@Smokingspoon Wii U owners will get Zelda U. Why would it kill Nintendo fan's to see the next Zelda get the dual released treatment on the next platform? It worked with TP and I don't see why it wouldn't work again.
@Socar I was in your shoes. I really wanted a GB pocket and couldn't sell my parents on the idea. I spent several months doing hard work to get said system. It was worth it.
@joey302 I've thrown in the towel with NA vc. It's great that there are other options for retro gamers. No more drip feeding lackluster Thursday's for me.
I was told checking the sd card was part of the repair process, so I thought the same thing. It is hard to believe. I'm not questioning that. I wouldn't be so angry towards NOA if it wasn't true. I'm not lying to get attention. This is not an incomplete story. I've been a faithful Nintendo supporter for a very long time and this one single event completely changed my opinion about the company. I've been called out before on my comments. When I'm wrong I'll admit it. When someone helps explain why I'm being ignorant on a certain topic I listen. Just don't sit here and call me a liar.
@CHET_SWINGLINE I'm not making any of this up. I have all the paperwork from each time I sent the unit in. Seven times total. And I should've just bought a new sd card? I shouldn't expect the company to honor their product that was still under warranty?
@Trapleton it didn't. I'm just a angry fan. I bought a new 3ds at launch. It had a defective sd card. I spent four months sending my unit back to NOA hq and the repair team said they couldn't find the problem. I even had a manager ask me to stop calling them after the Fifth time I sent it back in. It took my buddy who's a tech guy to figure out the problem and not NOA. It's like the repair team was not familiar with the tech they sell. The communication between departments was horrible as I had to keep explaining the same issues over and over again and the company just kept sending me a new 3ds unit with the same defective ad card in tow. What am I supposed to believe? That NOA is being run efficiently with good communication? I'm done with all this anyway.
Ok you guys got me. I don't know jack crap about how a giant corporation works. I've had dealings with Nintendo of America in the past and it was the worst customer service experience of my life.
I'll leave you guys to praising Nintendo no matter what. Peace out.
@lacaras4 That's kinda my point. NOA doesn't create the hardware & software. In fact, they don't make video games period. I'm not saying the top guys have it easy at NOA, but do they work nearly as hard as their NOJ counterpart's?
Focusing on entirerly different experiences that he will have no part in creating. I'll bet his salary is massive despite the fact he does so little for Nintendo.
I don't get why people love this guy so much. Aside from a few commercials what major accomplishment's has he achieved for Nintendo? He's just a corporate executive attempting to appeal to Nintendo fan's. Nothing more and nothing less.
@Yorumi Ol' Xeno sure is something else. Saying all XB & PS gamers are only into FPS games is as bad as saying Nintendo fan's only buy kiddie games. The mass majority doesn't speak for everybody.
@MarkyVigoroth Phil is just doing his job. I think the XB division is more concerned with the success of PS4 than driving the Nintendo brand into the ground.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th July (North America)
Another snk fighting game? More subpar indie titles like vaccine? These updates remind me of the Wii U years.

I'll just wait and see. I'm sure support for the 3ds and Wii U is coming to a close this year. Hoping NX blows my mind.

@majinx07 It does.
Re: Ninterview: Retro Video Gaming's Heidi stopXwhispering On Building The Ultimate Game Room
Best retro room ever.

@CatMarioTime I'm sure Reggie won't have to worry about retirement. The guy's net worth was at 21 million in 2012.

@rsanchez1 True. If they where listening gba games would have been available on 3ds long ago.
Re: Feature: Why We're Still Playing... Metroid Fusion
@JaxonH I get what you're saying. Prime 3 is a good game. It just the setting didn't give the player that classic Metroid vibe.
Re: Feature: Why We're Still Playing... Metroid Fusion
@JaxonH I've played the first two prime games and really enjoyed them. I'm about to start 3 and was wondering why it was last on your list?
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

@SahashraLA I agree with everything said in your post. As a fan, I'm done. Zero Mission and Zelda U will be it for me as far as future purchases go.
