@kensredemption Because no one is capable of making decent software but Nintendo?
Have fun missing out on all the great games out there. You just stick with your Nintendo only motto while I enjoy Fallout,Arkham Knight, mirror's edge2,uncharted 4 and so many more.
@Zyon I'm guessing Zelda U will get the Twilight Princess treatment. I'll bet the U version get's released after the NX launch. I'll wait for the Wii U version. Zelda U was one of the reasons I bought a Wii U as well.
@LilC Agreed. I got a feeling the Wii U's day's are numbered. It's a shame as I've really enjoyed the console and after such a short time with it, I'm not ready to commit to a new system.
@Ichiban You must be a tough sell. SSB4 was worth the wait. Easy to pick up but difficult to master. A massive roster with diverse fighter's that cater to different play style's. Great looking levels with fun familiar theme's. This series has so much fan service i don't know how anyone could dislike it.
@WarlockNem I hope not. Add-on support never went anywhere in the console market. I don't think the 32x or cd systems helped Sega at all. Then the Saturn launched and we all know how that went.
It would be a mistake to go the add-on route. Better to just start from scratch with a new console.
@thaantman I doubt we'll ever see Marvel vs Capcom on Wii U or any other system at that. Capcom pulled everything related to the vs series from xbl&psn. I assume the company could no longer afford Disney's fee's for use of its characters.
@GloryQuestor Why do people think Reggie is up to a task like running NOJ? He's a pr guy. He has no where near the relevant experience that iwata had. He's struggling to run NOA efficiently. I mean the fact that he's president and not a full blown Ceo shows that his superior's in JP can't have that much faith in him.
@errantrazor If the article is of little interest to you, then I'd imagine you didn't grow up around arcade system's. You must be 14 and don't know who Joe Pesci is.
I'd love to take that for a ride! Hope D&B gets it at some point.
Online gaming certainly changed things in a big way. Arcade's used to be that experience you couldn't get at home. I feel fortunate that I got be apart of that era of gaming. I'll never forget all the money I dumped into Street Fighter 2.
@BLPs I hear ya! This is a industry that has gone through so many changes over the years.
I've been a big fan of fighters for awhile now, and I'm happy that games like Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, and street fighter are still alive and kicking.
Fighters kinda died out after the end of the arcade era. I had to wonder if fighting games where dead for good. Then SF4 came along and helped to revive the genre. They may not sell like COD, but it's good that a demand for nich games like those still exist.
@dMo I don't hate the wii U. I value the system quite a bit. I've built up a nice collection of games that I could never part with. I hear comments from fan's talking about how they sold their Wii U console, and I think their nuts for doing it.
It certainly hasn't been all sunshine and rainbow's with Nintendo's current console though. I really wanted to see a retro collection on Wii U that would put psn classic's& retro games to shame. Aside from classic Nintendo systems I've yet to see any Dreamcast,Saturn, or arcade games. Not even systems available on the wii shope like the Mega drive have made the jump.
The online was a issue for me as well. No party chat. No unified account system. Massive slowdown in games like SSB is a real pain in neck too. And people complain Sony has weak servers.
Lack of third party support is another issue for me.I love Nintendo's excellent first party games, but as we've seen with 3ds&Wii U, the company can't support two systems on their own. Not to mention, If I could get a port of Tomb Raider on a Nintendo console that was up to the standards of their competitors, I would go with the Nintendo version every time.I want more games like Bayo 2 and W101. It just seems like third party relations are strained due to fan support and hardware differences, so I don't know how that issue can be resolved.
I've been a Nintendo fan for a long time. The company has always managed to keep me coming back for more. However, excellent first party games won't entice me to purchase the NX if the company goes down the same route they went with the Wii U.
@ikki5 I'll be taking a wait and see approach as well. I've enjoyed my wii u, but would I jump head first into the same scenario with NX all over again. Probably not.
@AVahne That would be a shame for everyone that supported the U. I've spent quite a bit building up my digital&retail library on a system that hasn't been out very long. I'm certainly not ready to upgrade to a new Nintendo console anytime soon.
@zeldazero It makes one wonder. Some Square Enix games are on the JP eshope, but show no signs of coming here. Could be the publisher on that one. As for games like Sonic Advance and Metroid Zero Mission I have no clue what the hold up is.
@LztheQuack For me, my lack of faith in NOA is due to the terrible communication between their customer service rep's and the repair department. I'll never forget how poorly my repair was handled.I pretty much had to fix the problem with my "new" 3ds on my own after several months of confusing phone call's that made no progress. I even had a manager ask me to stop calling because they couldn't find the problem with my "new" handheld. It was a defective memory card. Something the repair team is supposed to check with every system brought in. I experienced the worst customer service in my entire life! NOA needs to clean house with its upper management.
@aaronsullivan I'm with you on Europe getting a few vc titles we've been wanting. Blaster Master is a great game, but it's been on the 3ds eshope forever. I'd figure most dedicated Nintendo fans have a 3ds and probably picked up the game already.
I didnt know what to think when I heard of his passing. He seemed like a man that truly enjoyed what he did and cared for the company he was tasked with running. The contributions this man made to Nintendo and the gaming industry where Incredible. After reading some articles on a few news sites, I realized how little I knew of his career. What a legacy to leave behind!
I didn't agree or like some of the choices he made as Nintendo's president, but that doesn't change the fact he was a good leader and was truly passoniate about his work.
@datamonkey It would be a massive mistake to promote the Pizza Hut guy. Reggie seems to have his hands full just trying to run NOA and he hasn't been doing a great job at it in my opinion. He's just another American ceo that probably lacks any kind of relevant experience in the industry he's apart of.
@Koopa-King I lost my respect for NOA over the last five months. That's how long I'd been sending in my "new" 3ds in for repairs that I bought at launch. It had a defective sd card that was interrupting my gameplay sessions. NOA kept sending new unit's back to me saying they Fixed the problem. It's even part of the repair procedure to check the sd card for malfunction's. They never checked it. I just kept getting new units with the same defective card in tow. I even had a manager say they couldn't find the problem and asked me to stop calling. I have zero faith in NOA after my whole ordeal.
@Caryslan Ive tried to be patient with the drip feeding of vc releases since 3ds&Wii U launched. I'm pretty burned out at this point and don't see the big N improving the situation until the next console&handheld arrive.

Re: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U Still Has a TBC Release Date, Project Guard is Still a Thing
@Marshi I'm sure it will. You're just going to have to wait for the Wii U version. Nintendo is going to use Zelda to help push NX sales.

@TheLastLugia Okami had that quality and charm that's present in the Zelda series. Capcom also made a few excellent portable Zelda games.
Re: Editorial: Super Smash Bros. Should be Integral to Nintendo's NX Future

Bayonetta 2 is one of my favorite games on Wii U. I never thought we'd get a sequel.

@SuperWiiU Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a great game. A re-release on the e-shope would be a day one purchace for me!

@iphys What isn't tried and true these day's? If it's still fun for people it shouldn't matter what you're playing.

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th July (North America)
@IceClimbers I've always considered VC to be a perk. Just like I consider ps1&2 classic's a perk on ps3's psn store.
Looking back the Wii had an impressive list of games. What happened this generation? Could the lack of vc be due to poor sales? Smaller install base?
Whatever the reason may be it really sucks for gamers who enjoy classic games and don't want to hunt down the original systems and software.
