Seems they spent more effort on adding more trainers and clothes than actually improving the core gameplay loop.

My expectations were low after the announcement so I got what I expected.
I am still disappointed by Nintendo latest press releases though.

Seems like review failed to mention some weird decision decisions especially on local multiplayer single console. Bowling, darts and many others only allow 2 players max and if you are playing with 4 players locally I think the number of available numbers drops to something like 5.

@Nintendofan83 I am not sure what is counted as a Software Sale (is a £20 indie eShop game considered a Software sale). If not that’s why the number is lower. People have more games not priced at £50

I don’t mind sharing - I think there should be an option. But I am disappointed that as a second player I can’t even place bridges/inclines. That’s just scummy from Nintendo

@gloom Player 1 has island A, player 2 has island B.
Player 1 is playing on island A. Goes to the airport and says that they want to visit Island B.
Player 2 can join coop if they so wish. They can also set permissions for all players on the same switch, call it an Archipelago.

I don't see how splitscreen would be needed.

@gloom I am sure they could implement a feature to visit different islands on the same switch.

@BenAV Is not that simple though.
The second player can't advance the story portion of the game - i.e. can't build bridges, can't put plots down, can't donate furniture to plots.
It's a bit disheartening to say the least to be the second player, especially when both of us are new to the series. The first one gets all these cool "quests" and player two basically has to wait for p1 to do them.

@Paraka There would be almost no physical releases then. Mario Maker got update 3 months later, Botw got updates 8 months later, Splatoon kept getting updates for years, etc etc.

Gameplay looks a bit too basic

@NImH It's a wide screen shooter, tate mode would be an hindrance.

@jobvd It's not. You just need to play higher difficulty to unlock the later stages.

@Alucard83 I understand that - they are different kinda types of games. I don't doubt Mario Maker will surpass NSMBU sales.

Just as a note, I have played 75h of Mario Maker and haven't created a single level.

Mario Maker is notoriously absent.
I guess NSMBU sold alot because it was released without too much competition, whereas Mario Maker was released at the start of summer craziness.

Apple Arcade has a free month trial, so people with iOS or MacOS can try these games for free for a month. There are others too (Overland, Sayonara Wild Hearts, What the Golf, etc)

Does it have any sort of rumble? I know it doesn't have HD Rumble.

Finally Mark of the Ninja on sale, will get it now together with Captain Toad DLC.

Resident Evil 4 on sale but still more expensive than PS4 base price so I will wait for a deeper sale.

There needs to be a way to play together from Course World and a "Play Together" tag for levels designed for that.

The difference between this and murder, terrorism is that everyone knows murder and terrorism is bad. On the other hand, objectifying women is still seen as a normal thing by lots of people - this game doesn't help in that regard.

@sanderev i think the other versions will run at 60FPS so I am not sure it is that decent.

I usually still play around 10 online matches a month. In the Uk and don’t have trouble finding matches.
Overall, have around 70h of game. Never finished the adventure mode

Don't understand why dont they do a Mario Tennis Aces sale.
It would help bring more players into the online.

I mean I understand what they mean, but saying that they made a game easier to allow players to have fun.

I certainly had a lot of fun playing Celeste and wouldn't have as much fun if it was a walk in the park.

@MarinaKat Saw some other reviews mention they are all the same.

For me time is limited, so being not to long is actually a plus. Games like Limbo, Inside and Gris are also short but very memorable and worth full price.

That Unravel 2 pricing is a no from me - waiting for a sale. It's £16 on other platforms (that's launch price).

There is price parity in the US eShop but in europe it's almost 60% more than other platforms.

Arms being here and not Mario Tennis Aces is criminal.

Price is fair in US eShop but in the UK eShop the digital version is £9 more than the other consoles versions (US is same price)

I think this method is a bit more fair and more ethical than the US one. People with less available time still have a change to win in Europe if they win at least 1 match.

Seems like a very weak first 5 months of 2019. A bit similar to what happened back in 2018.

I have read this and then I tried the Switch Version handheld mode. I actually thought it would be worse ( maybe it’s bad on docked).

Since there is an open beta if people are interested they should try it.

People say Marble it Up is great but not that great of a sale.
