There’s not really a correct answer, but I would say if you’re looking for a classic experience that’s still accessible, go for either Wind Waker or LTTP. I started with BOTW and discovered more games in the series from there, but it’s very much unlike all the others, and that was mainly just due to my curiosity.

I cannot wait for the event to be ridiculously underwhelming throughout, and then for Nintendo to absolutely save it at the end like they always have.

I will definitely have to try this out. I’ve only played a few hours of SMM2 thanks to the awful multiplayer experience and the fact that I’m not all too interested in making my own levels. But the amount of creativity from some people in incredible.

Mods for this game are already incredible, so I'm really excited to see how much farther it can go with official support.

@VoidofLight I definitely understand that. I would not want a game like that to be spoiled for me if I was into the series. But people make mistakes and I think he realized he did too, since he deleted the Tweet eventually. But I completely see where you’re coming from though.

@Jayesbe No problem, I prefer thought out replies! I agree, though, I feel like a lot of people will actually take offense to Dunkey’s videos even though they’re clearly meant to be satire. Like you said, his Metroid Dread video is a perfect example of it. He genuinely praises the game in a lot of areas and criticizes it sarcastically. People just decided to take a lot of offense to it and the XC3 video, which if you don’t understand who Dunkey is I can see why.

But I’m just gonna keep enjoying his videos and seeing them for what they are: comedy videos

That’s an interesting exploit. Hopefully it either gets a hotfix or is fixed in the upcoming balance patch

It looks like a Gamecube game but doesn't look bad gameplay-wise. I already have Super Rush though, so I'm not really in the market for another golf game.

The question I have is: Do the Star Bits make the "bada ding" noise they made when you collected them in Super Mario Galaxy?? This is a dealbreaker for me.

I'm still waiting for a legitimate incentive to play this game. The new characters are nice, but the stages are still bland, there are no extra modes, and there is absolutely no incentive to play online.

I played about 30 minutes of this game and just got stuck, and never continued. I plan to finish it at some point but I just found it rather irritating.

I'm a little disappointed in the fact that tri-color turf wars are just not occurring as often, instead of them trying to balance it in other ways. At least they seem to be making changes to it still.

But other than that, this is a great patch. The communication issues especially were a real bummer.

It was a pretty bad Direct all things considered, but it had some super exciting announcements

He looks kinda goofy but I don't really mind that much. I'm just looking forward to seeing what this game has to offer. The art style generally looks great so far.

I was expecting a release date from the Direct. I just hope that this game doesn't get forgotten by people since the marketing for it has been quiet for a while now.

The good announcements were REALLY good (TOTK, Pikmin 4, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem), but there was SO much filler. I seriously think half of the games shown were farming sims. So it was a 6/10 for me.

@KIRO This patch doesn't even fix glitches, though. It's just a few QoL updates and the enablement of online services, like how pretty much every online game does it.

@LivingLegend Multiple other websites, not just Nintendo-related ones, gave the game anywhere from an 8 to a 9 out of 10. As far as I can see so far, VGC is the only outlet out of several that has scored the game lowly for the points you mentioned.

I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I was expecting a 10/10 from you guys since Splatoon 2 received that, but a 9 feels fair to me, considering the points mentioned.

Looks super good! The color scheme is really unique but looks nice IMO.

Is it just me or do the graphics look improved from that reveal trailer? It looks like the resolution especially got a bit of a bump.
