Ever since their first reveal during Splatoon 3's dedicated August Direct, we have been eagerly awaiting news of the Splatland's newest amiibo. Then, last week, things began to shift when an online listing seemed to suggest that the three interactive figures could be coming our way soon, and at the weekend trio were found on display during the Heroes Comic Con/Made in Asia convention — giving Gaming Boulevard the chance to make the above detailed first-look video. (Thanks, Nintendo Soup!)
The display holds all three upcoming Splatoon 3 amiibos, consisting of Yellow Inkling, Blue Octoling and Smallfry - pictures of which have previously been limited to the promotional lineup which appeared during the Direct presentation.
Gaming Boulevard's video gives us the first idea of what the amiibo will look like up close, showing off the figures' shining ink and detailed bodywork. The screaming Smallfry remains a favourite of ours - that expression is even better in amiibo form!
We still don't know exactly when these amiibo will be made available to buy, with the information currently sitting in that nebulous 'releasing this Winter' window, though we are hopeful that this means a release date will be with us in the next few weeks.

I think the new amiibo look good. I don’t have much of the past amiibos anymore so I am waiting for Christmas Day to get the set.

These are great, hopefully they've made more than 6 of them so we can all get them easily. The My Nintendo Store UK has been down for maintenance for nearly a week now and I'm hoping that'll mean new products arriving imminently 😁

These amiibo need to do more than just gear.
I just wanna know what items they give.
Then again I also kinda wanna just scan them in and be surprised by what they give.
@Vivianeat We don't need more features locked behind hard to get plastic figurines.
Saying that as an avid amiibo collector.
Smallfry is kinda cool, but we already have enough of the previous Splatoon amiibo, and Nintendo couldn't even be bothered to make THOSE do different things, so won't be purchasing this 3 pack.
Who cares about amibo if the game is constantly disconnecting!!!!! The nintendo servers are as effective as a potato
@Yosher With all that money spent on plastic, they should at least give u guys RNG daily locker items or small exp.
@Djgoa Is it true about all those exploits, glitches, errors, and disconnects? Heard there was no tri-color matches either at the recent fest.
@Vivianeat I didn't get a single Tricolour match all day yesterday and I tried really hard to get one, I have a feeling it was down to being on Team Gear so there just weren't enough players in other teams to get matched with.

Yep not a single tri. Not seen any cheating or exploits tho. Just every other game disconnecting

@Vivianeat I was lucky enough to get 2 tri-colour matches (although the second one disconnected). Yeah, Nintendo's online is still pretty pathetic, even more so considering they charge extra for it now.

I want to get these for my niece for Christmas, or her birthday, which is literally days before it. If I can't, I'll have to buy the cards on Etsy, preferably before Nintendo chooses to buy out Etsy in an attempt to do a cease-and-desist on unofficial amiibo productions. Sure, I did buy amiibo cards for her in the past, but I don't want to go down that route again.
Ugh ... buyers can preorde them....
Unfortunately I don't have the space (or money) to collect many amiibo anymore so I'll probably just pick up the yellow inkling so I can have one from each of the three games. Original blue inkling boy, octoling girl, and the yellow inkling.
Though when they inevitably release a three pack of Shiver, Frye, and Big Man, I might have to buy it, lack of space be damned.
