Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss On Switch 2's Name: Nintendo Created So Much "Brand Value"

Simone93

@8bit-Man Because either Nintendo was clear enough to show people that the other new machines were different while the Wii U was seen as a Wii with an additional screen.

@BTB20 I forgot that the launch titles for the console was also weak. Clearly there were weird decisions during the years of the Wii U. I'm glad that the failure of the console let the making of a good one (the Switch).

Re: Expect To See The Switch Logo Pop Up In Future Xbox Showcases

Simone93

IMO, showing the logos of Switch, PS or even Steam in their 'directs' is just a way to attract more people to watch those.

The last time I watched an Xbox showcase was in 2020, just because there was a weird rumour about a Banjo & Kazooie game to be shown but then nothing was shown.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss On Switch 2's Name: Nintendo Created So Much "Brand Value"

@Navi because it's very similar to the Switch 1.

@timp29 There will always be someone complaining about something. In the case of Switch 2, I don't think Nintendo is doing something wrong with the name. There is a developer who specifically said, many months before, that the Switch 2 is an iteration of the Switch 1. This was already clear that the Switch 2 will have the same concept of the Switch 1 but being more powerful, like the New Nintendo 3DS against the Nintendo 3DS.

@TheBigK No thanks...
@1UP_MARIO Better being clever but boring instead of confusing with the naming.

@8bit-Man Then why the Wii U failed?

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft May Be Working On An Animal Crossing Competitor

@MrGawain The problem I see in modern videogames development is the difficulty to make original and fun games at the same time. What I mean is, something that people never saw and the videogame is actually a fun, innovative experience to enjoy. In addition to this, if a development studio makes a game that is too similar to another game that was released earlier then they got the guns at them because they aren't original. Remember when the new Astro Bot came out and people started to arguing about the game being similar to a series of Mario games? If every game is going to be criticized by being similar to another then every game is a bad game, which is a very heavy statement IMO.

Re: Random: Takaya Imamura Ponders The Possibility Of Star Fox Zero On 'Switch 2'

Simone93

@FoxyDude The problem of SFZ is not only the controls but also the fact that they reimagined the story for the third time. The story was retold from SF64, which is the best in the series IMO, and continued from that. But then at SFC nothing happen... They re-released SF64 on the 3DS and the sales weren't as they expected because it was 'an HD version of a N64 game'.
So to solve the problem they retold the story again with some twists... Which is ok in some part and I do like the new designs but they are telling the same story over and over again.
At least in Starlink Battle for Atlas there are some 'continuation' after SFZ, even if it's only some quotes from the game, but that to me is already a good sign of the series going forward.

Re: Super Nintendo World: Donkey Kong Country Entrance Revealed, Here's A Look

Simone93

@boxyguy I don't know if you follow DidYouKnowGaming on YouTube but there is a reason why we didn't get a new DOnkey Kong game for so long. I leave the link to you here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJlu9g8UEAI

@NinChocolate the presentation in the Super Nintendo World? I mean, DK isn't huge as Super Mario or The Legend of Zelda but I'm impressed that Nintendo wanted to expand the park with the DK franchise instead of the Zelda series. Personally, I hope that one day we will see a dedicated section to Star Fox, even tho we need to see a new game first.

@JohnnyMind I don't know if this will ever happen...

Re: UK Charts: Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Crashes Out Of The Top 40

Simone93

@the_beaver Not only from British people...
Personally, I never got interested in DQ and probably never will since my time for playing games is reduced a lot since I started working so to me JRPGs are going to be ignored by me because they can take too much time to complete the games, even only to get the base ending.

Re: Blizzard Revives 'Overwatch: Classic' In A New Limited-Time Event

Simone93

I spent a lot of time with Overwatch 1. I'm downloading the OW2 on the Switch and give it a try.

@Azami I agree with you. OW1 really was magical. OW2 didn't take much attention because, to me, it was essentially OW1. The only thing I liked in OW2 was the event of Mirror Watch.

@WhiteTrashGuy on Switch it's, I think, 22,3 GB. Personally I'm only downloading the game just to play this event.

Re: Rayman Creator Michel Ancel Confirms Involvement With New Ubisoft Project

Simone93

@Kingy If I remember correctly, there was a first news about he leaving the company and after just one day, or two, another news regarding he doing all that harassment etc.
I found it weird the latter news because if he was actually doing this kind of stuff why it wasn't 'public' earlier?
Sometimes these types of news should be taken as grain of salt.

Anyway, if he is actually involved for Rayman then it better be something new and not a simple remastered.
