Ah yes, that time of the year I am constantly reminded of the completed and unreleased Wii version of Rogue Leaders and always hope they make a new HD remaster of the entire trilogy. But alas, no... it is things like this this that turn people to the Dark Side.
No fancy photo with all my game cartridges this year (putting 470 cartridges aside is way too much hard work for this NL staffer) so here is an artistic image instead with a reminder that life was so much simpler merely 4 years ago. Seize the day, gang!
This game puts SFV to shame and made with a fraction of Capcom's budget. About time this comes to the Switch, I will gladly re-buy it (I've waited years until I gave in to a STEAM sale last December). Plus: Skullomania on the Switch? Triple sold!
I'm into the late game and I have indeed been fighting crash-to-dashboard bugs, hope The Game Bakers is aware of the situation because I really, REALLY love this whole package. It's like "FURI" for couples but that didnt' stop me from enjoying it alone.
Was just playing it last month, there are so many forgotten Wiiware gems and this one is on the top 5 of my list. I would promptly re-buy it for a second round in full HD glory.
@ThanosReXXX thats because itcwascthecfirst game to bring the genre sucessfuly on the Switch. But it remains a linear if ever beautiful experience and I fully exhausted it. The games I mention above have yet to stop giving me new ways to enjoy them.
@ThanosReXXX but wait, Redout: Space Assault also has ...free roaming flight levels! ( plot twist ) Both offer linear progression, both have a ton of eye candy but if I had to pick one... well, neither because we all know that EVERSPACE and "Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw* are the two finest examples of space shooty thing on Switch. If you have exhausted both of those, these two are solid next game choices.
@Hughesy it is being sadly overlooked because of how t looks in stills, but so far I only needed to convince my friends to try out the demo to sell it.
What a glorious day, I work on the website who interviewed Mat Dickie!
I'm currently playing career mode, one month per day (currently September 2022) and can easily state that this is the best career mode of any wrestling game I have ever played. In fact, it is currently better than anything thing wrestling in the real world. Just this weekend I was fired from Weekend Warriors despite being the Middle Weight champion so back to Wrestling School I went. after a few bogus contract offers I refused, I signed up yesterday for Super Lucha Libre. I look forward to see what happens next!
You will never know how much of an influence these games have been on my life. Oh, and I'm not gonna tell you either, you will just have to trust me on that or figure out on your own.
A note to all potential future MDickei wrestlers: If your AI buddies starts to botched something up, simply hit LZ+RZ to switch manual control to him and quickly "fix him up" before returnign to your proper wrestler. MDickei wasn't kidding around when he says he is giving us complete control, you even have to play the AI role!
Also worth noting: MDickie has made sure there is a Demo on the eShop for the game to make sure no one would buy this without trying it first and know what they are heading into. MDickie is a babyface.
In MDickie terms, a 6/10 is the equivalent of a 11/10! The best wrestling game I have played this decade and the career mode puts every single offer out there (yes, including "Fire Pro Wrestling World") to shame. I can only hope to see MDickie continue to expand the game's modes as he has stated in his the development diaries and thank him for the absolute glory of having instant (as in no loading times) 30 wrestler rumbles.
Kusoge of the Century, everyone go buy this right now!
@Savino Pyable 2020 versions of Shiva and Max. They are working on it, but we have no time table for release... wait and see I guess. Scott Pilgrim is right around the corner.
@Savino but the gameplay flow in DDN is not as smooth as SR4. It's a bit unfair to compare both games since this one despite being produced by Wayforward uses 3D polygon models against SoR4 incredibly 2D animates sprites. It's very hard to make a 2.5D belt action brawler that can match the smoothness of 2D sprite art.

Not spectacular but solid.
Stick to the SNES game if you're lucky enough to have it or dig into your game shelves / ebay for the vastly underrated GameCube game instead.
