@DashKappei No online leader boards , only local. Score mechanics are in place, the more enemies you chain-kill, the more points you get, but don't quote me on that... I was having too much fun playing instead of looking at the score
@Meteoroid @nocdaes have a gameplay video, good sirs.
There were quite a few people who were afraid that this would not stand up against the test of time. I was very pleasantly surprised with this solid retro, colourful, platforming romp that never overstays its welcome and it's a bliss to play.
Happy to see this see the light of day despite sadly removing all DUNE references. Cryo wasn't at their finest by the time this was being made, but their ambition with a voxel generated Arrakis really paid off and its looks really impressive in motion on the GBA. The gameplay might be a little simplistic, but any DUNE fan will overlook that. a Full on modern remake would do wonders for this one .
As for the lack of 100% coverage on the website, please put your concerns in the Forum and I'm sure people from the elder NL council will reach you.
There better be some DUNE games coming to the Switch, I can't believe Nintendo missed out on all the action and both original 1992 Dune games ended up on the Mega CD and Mega Drive instead. We almost had the GBA ornithopter game, but it got canned already pretty much complete.
Also this movie is a modern masterpiece and one of the biggest movies of the decade so make sure you don't skip it, we need Part Two.
@60frames-please Finally! I found another soul who knows what N.GEN Racing is instead of looking at me with a funny face.
This is my footage, 60fps on the dot.
I was not so keen on the regular soundtrack for Excite Truck so I just made my own. Good times...
... wonder what the guys at Monster Games are up to these days?
@Magician thats because it is from the same developer.
I'm a bit baffled at you guys for the reception of that trailer. If you played Guns, Gore & Cannoli 1 and 2 you would know that looks can be misleading, its one of the finest run'n'guns I played in this hardware generation and now you put a WH 40.000 license on top of that? This is a instant winner in my books.
@Oddball83 ... oh, you speak of the original Arcade version I had the utmost pleasure to review for this very same website that is my life's work for the past +6 years, the very same game that introduced my all time favourite video game character of all time? Truly I must need mental aid so if you happen to find my mind wandering, please return to sender.
PS: Surely you were a Commodore 64 owner in the old 8-bit wars of old, the ZX Spectrum vast library vs the Commodore 64 CHIP music and improved colours battlefields in the playground of old.
@Precinct1313 yes , indeed it is, manages to be better than the arcade original which is a real shocker. Not as big a shock when I discovered that the 128k version had the overhead shoulder throw, making the game so , so much easier!
@Andee well, just you wait until you discover the hot garbage dumpster fire that was Renegade 3. In fact, we don't even speak about it. It never happened.
Come on, retro Nintendo Life gang! Only @HamatoYoshi guessed this one right, this is Target: Renegade on the ZX Spectrum. The producers set out to make a no-compromise spiritual reboot of the game and I'm super stocked to see this Switch bound.
... By the Load"", I am so, so very old. So old...
@Ks123 300+ straight days on Ring Fit Adventure produced better results in legs and abs as expected. This is one showing similar results to the 250+ straight day of the original. Its all about disciple, what you eat, how much you rest/sleep how much you walk outside your house per day. A combination of all 4 will make you look the business. But Ring Fit > Fitness Boxing 2 > Fitness Boxing. Mix and match at least 1 hour a day for visible results.

@anoyonmus definitely.
Re: Review: Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Edition - An Essential Purchase For Fighting Game Fans
@anoyonmus Accent Core Plus R is the superior sequel, but I still think the original title plays rather well.

Re: Video: The Wii Turns 15 This Year, And Here Are Our Memories
Still hooked up under my telly. I see no reason why that would change anytime soon.

@romanista ops, wrong paste up there. Fixed, it's Super Blood Hockey. It's always Super Blood Hockey.
Re: Feature: All Five American Football Games On Switch (Yes, You Read That Right)
Imagine me, an hockey fan. https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/switch-eshop/super_blood_hockey (Mario v Sonic Olympics doesn't count), but at least it's a good one.

F-Zero 99 please.
To be fair, a proper remaster of F-Zero X with infinite draw distance, stereo soundtrack and Expansion Kit options would do the trick for me.
Re: Sky Kid Is The Next HAMSTER Arcade Archives Release, Out This Week
Of course!
But tomorrow I will be buying it again and make a proper Switch gameplay video.

Love this game. Quite possibly my all time NAMCO favourite.
