One of the cool things in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is that you can just sort of... run around while your Pokémon do things. You don't have to babysit them; in fact, you don't even have to stand behind them in battle. It's weird how cool this feels.
You can also throw their Poké Balls on the ground to have them stand beside you for a little bit, doing a cute animation or two, and you can "Speak" to them to see how they're feeling. It's not as exciting as a Partner Pokémon, but it's sweet enough.
However. If you throw down all your party Pokémon, something happens: They start having a little meeting. How do we know it's a meeting? THEY TAKE IT IN TURNS TO TALK.
Look:
You can see even more of them giving their thoughts in these images:
We watched this happen for ten solid minutes. It's VERY CUTE.

There is also this cute detail that when you throw your pokeball in the water and your pokemon is not a swimmer. Then it will create a little cute boat platform for them to stand on.
I just noticed this today, I just threw all my pokemon out and, what do you know next thing there doing is talking, just sitting there, taking turns, probably talking about me kidna-er I mean, me giving them a new home (:
That's a funny detail they added in.
@broskiplays Really? I have to try it.
wait..Rowlet's sus!? 😱
I wonder if this is one of those games like BOTW where players will discover small details even years after release. Probably not since Gamefreak aren't as experienced as the Zelda team at making open worlds but it would be cool if it was the case.
Wow those images just show how trashy the graphics are!
@Lord Its a photo, its always looks worse compared to the actual game.
Well this is not something I should’ve seen. I was already picking up the game now I’m just gonna catch a team of 6 and watch this for hours
@broskiplays so that's why I can use charmander afaind swimmer bradey
Features Rowlet, therefore I approve
Man, I'm seriously wondering if I should buy this game or Fire Emblem 3 houses. Looks like the gameplay is great, and a chance to get back to the pokemon world.
@JeanPaul Thats hard, I haven't even played three houses yet, I want to as well... do three houses! because I have heard its amazing, and everyones opinions on legends is still forming.
Its a shame there's no partner PM though, its a feature what should be standard for the series considering its been there kinda off since Gen 1 but Gamefreak just won't put in every game. Still this is cool stuff and the act of just letting them out in real time is pretty wild.
This is like finding out the beetles in Animal Crossing arrange a Fight Club in the museum every night, except much much better.
I love ambient NPC behaviors like this, especially among creatures/animals. Easier to immerse yourself into the world.
Lol this is just ridiculously cute, I'm gonna have to arrange group meetings every once in a while.
@Snatcher that's a good point. FE's still regarded as awesome, this is too new, too much hype around it. Thanks!
Best. Article. Ever.
We need more Pokémon collaborative meetings.
And I know we need this because I took the time to actually put in the alt-code for the é in Pokémon.
(alt+1410, btw!)
@JeanPaul I got three houses for like 30$ on black friday a couple years ago and it's great, both games could use far better graphics though
Rowlet: the great unifier 🦉
I guess Rowlet is holding an Emergency Meeting... Perhaps he saw someone fake a Task in the Medical Bay?
I would like to do this ingame, but I have an alpha pikemon on my team so it would look weird with a tiny Rowlet and a huge bibarel right beside it haha.
@Slinkoy1 weird? or very very cool????
