I know its made by the dragon quest builders devs but the game doesn't look half as deep as dqb. It looks shallow and basic in terms of creative builds
@Strawblaze Nobody is talking about this. Designs in dragon quest builders can be as simple or complex as you want. But pokopia looks more like a simpler viva pinata than a building game
I'm a big fan of dragon quest builders but this game looks too simple and shallow to me. I got excited when I found out the dqb team got involved but this looks dull in comparison
@Strawblaze What I've seen so far isn't impressing me. It looks like mostly tiny square grids that only need certain tiles and furniture for a Pokemon to make its home then you're off to the next one. Doesn't look very creative compared to DQB that lets you design full on buildings with interactive rooms
Lol @ the xenoblade fans taking a tongue in cheek comment personally
Disappointing how Aounuma brushes off the accessibility question but he has been disappointing since the dreadful TOTK. 7 years of work for the most underwhelming sequel ever.
@Sonicka the building was a gimmick that got old fast. The sky is just some scattered floating islands except for thunderhead. The depths seemed cool at first but it was all one big biome that got tedious to travel through. The controls especially in battle are terrible. You say they retooled botw but they didn't improve a basic gameplay mechanic. All in all it wasn't worth the wait
@epicgamner I liked botw. Thought it got repetitive and needed more lore and better rewards for exploring but it felt like an epic adventure. Totk was, well now you can play through botw with minor changes. It made it stale and tedious
@MonadoBoy Fact: they recycled the map the assets the gameplay mechanics. The sky and depths maps were empty and repetitive. I wouldn't have minded if they used the same Hyrule map but added plenty of new towns villages etc but all they made was the HQ in front of Hyrule Castle. The building mechanic was a gimmick that got old fast and don't get me started on the story
@epicgamner No, I'm pretty confident in my verdict after spending many hours with the game. It's a lazy sequel and it's clear the team sat on their hands for most of the development time. Aounuma has to go.
Ultrahand ate up far too much game development time that could've been spent on gameplay and story. Having most the characters in the game say they forgot about BotW was a joke after 7 years of waiting
I'm fine with open world zelda as long as aounuma isn't the director for the next one. The 6 year gap between botw and totk is appalling considering not much was added to the sequel. In a lot of ways it is worse than botw despite botw having less content.
@Tyranexx the first builders game is still great fun but is more about the story and its split into chapters so you start a new base each time. I would play it because its different from the sequel.
I haven't played the dark prince but I will say treasures is nothing like dragon warrior monsters. You have to use the same 3 monsters because they are the only ones with abilities you need to explore the boring samey maps. They attack enemies automatically and it's a nightmare trying to get them to stop attacking enemies stronger than them because you have no control over them
@PoeTheLizard funny how you don't criticise people who say he deserves the award purely for totk. Because thats the only reason he's getting the award lets be honest here. Least stupid Nintendo life commenter.

The building aspect looks very shallow and simplistic compared to DQB2. Can anyone confirm?
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Are Already "Best Sellers" On The Switch eShop Charts
I expected the full Sevii Islands and all other event unlocks/eReader cards for this price. Plus it's Red and Blue AGAIN

How many times are Red and Blue going to be re released in one form or another? These should be included in NSO
Re: Talking Point: Our Pokémon Presents 2026 Predictions - What Are You Hoping For?
I'm hoping the rabid fans don't buy another rushed game and its DLC so The Pokemon Company carries on releasing half-baked games

Dragon Quest Treasures has no business being that high rated. Boring game even for younger players.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 should be #2
