@flummerfelt I don't think so.. I have only ever played it on the NES.. my Uncle had it.. and I have fond memories of it.. it was a very good game.. if you ever have a chance look it up... you might be able to find a reasonable copy.. (Maybe even cheap) it is worth it though no matter the price.. it's just that good..
Well the good news is.. The Wii U.. the 32 GB version in US Amazon retail was (Last night) as close to the top 100 it has been in Video games since I have begun keeping track (#110) and Zelda WW HD was number 72 overall last night (And that's preorders) and New Super Mario Bros. U was back into the top 100 again too.. the force is strong with this one.. the Wii U Zelda WW Bundle was way down.. (Like 482 or something) But to be fair Amazon U.S. does not actually sell the Wii U themselves.. and because of that prices are a lot of times higher last check 550.00 for the Zelda WWHD bundle) I am not sure how great any of this is.. (Seeing as to how Amazon sells for hardware are most likely not counted but the Software is) But the last time there was 2 Wii U games in the top hundred was Pikmen 3 and Super Luigi Brothers.. and I think New Super Mario slipped in there too temporarily.. and that would be the first time 3 games for the Wii U has ever been in the top 100.. so I am expecting great things for the Wii U..
@flummerfelt Also see about Battle of Olympus... another really good game... anyway.. I did not not like it because of the challenge.. I just did not like it as much as the original... I actually love the challenge... but the original was better.. that being said this is the Zelda you want to play if you want more RPG elements and challenge...
Nope keep scores.. and let multiple people do the reviews.. this was the best system even back in the PS2 era... and now since there is not hardly as many releases a month.. especially for the Wii U.. I don't see why this can't happen now.. ( Believe it or not there was magazines that had to review 30+ games a month.. that was how fast they were being released.. what is it now?? especially for one or two systems?? ) Just saying keep the points.. but put a few reviewers on it.. with different perspectives.. if you do this and a game gets high scores all around that tells us it is probably worth buying.. compared to one reviewer.. one perspective.. and one score..
Capcom says it's going digital next generation.. wow.. (I fully expected next gen to be pretty much digital anyway) that being said.. out of curiosity... how many people bought Duck Tales, Street Fighters, and Dungeons and Dragons.. somehow I don't see Capcom going anywhere.. ( And I know a lot of people on this site will probably be getting MH4)
Anywho,
Capcom.. we still like our retail boxes.. you are going to miss out on sales from Ace Attorney do to that... we do not care about how you see the digital future really.. especially since it's more than likely.. consoles will for the most part be gone.. by 2017... if not the 2020's but until that time we like our boxed games.. and expect them.. so naturally... as with all companies that get to big for their britches..
Good Review.. and looks good.. but for 74.99.. plus figures... plus me on limited gaming budget equals no getting it right now... I might look into Skylander Giants instead.. but even that is a stretch... still the figures are available for a nice price.. and the game itself is going for a reasonable price..
@Romeo The funnier thing is.. when you consider a lot of people are paying/going to be paying 50- 60 bucks a month just to have access to updates and DLC.. that they spend even more money on.. while Nintendo does not charge them anything for that service... but Nintendo comes up with a cloudbank and charges 5 dollars a year.. and OMG... okay maybe they shouldn't but I don't see it as any worse than what the others are doing.. at least with Nintendo.. is making this optional... now if they come up with a future Pokemon.. where you start out with nothing and you absolutely have to have this bank to have any pokemon and play it.. then yes.. I can see the anger.. there is nothing that says without this bank that you can't just port from game to game... in the future.. I think this is more for people who may trade in their Mon games for new ones.. (as thus losing all the mon from previous) or for people who somehow manage to lose their games or something.. it may not be the best.. but it is a decent plan.. I am not sure yet... but I would think this could potentially be a nice option for some.. and 5 bucks a year is not bad really.. and.. like I said.. it's up to you if you want it or not..
@LetsGoRetro Lttp Bigger does not mean better.. and that was all Lttp was... was bigger.. The original Zelda was better.... like you said it's an opinion.. and I can't help mine.. just like you can't help what yours is.. there is no nostalgic love or feelings here.. it's just a fact.. the Original still to this day is better,,
@Lithium Yes Gamecube did have third party support.. and hardware comparable to others.. the point was.. it still lost..in terms of total sales compared to others.. when they came up with the Wii they won big.. grant you.. they did not have third parties like they did on the cube.. but they still won.. that was the point.. (and yes agreed on N64 as well so I guess in a way you can say they had a muscle machine twice.. and lost both times.. of course the writing was on the wall when Nintendo stuck with carts on the N64 so)
2. Beth. is right on certain things.. yes Nintendo does need to be more open.. but Beth. is one of those companies I really don't think it would make much of a difference.. even if Nintendo was open with them.. made the most powerful machine.. and the best internet service.. I am sure they will come up with another excuse to not make games for it...
3. EA and others are totally different animals from Beth. they want an audience there for their games.. they understand right now that the early adopters are Nintendo fans.. but for the life of me.. I don't think these developers or publishers are being completely fair either.. What did they expect.. people to flock to Wii U.. to buy ports of their games that they can get on other systems?? I don't see that happening.. and neither should they have if they were being realistic on it.. I think they said bye.. to the Wii U way to early.. they should have come up with games first.. or at least side by side with the others on Wii U..
4. Nintendo doing their own thing is indeed a double edged sword.. but on the same token if they didn't they would point blank lose.. (See Gamecube as exhibit A of Nintendo trying to compete with others...) at least this way they have A. A system that is different from others on the market out of the box.. and B. A fighting chance.
5. The PS2 argument is actually a really good argument.. essentially speaking they could also use their own Gameboy as an example... their point is.. the hardware specs makes no difference if you have games people want... neither of these systems were the most powerful systems of their times.. but they were always the best selling systems because they had a great library of games..
6. Wii U will have a great holiday this year.. and as long as it can move 6-8 million by years end..(Which I can see it doing) it will be fine.. even if it managed to move 9-10 million units by years end.. and reigned as the number one system.. for the next couple of years.. I doubt we would see the kind of third party support that Sony and Microsoft is going to get...like I said.. Nintendo is the only ones expected to sell their systems.. Microsoft and Sony can get away with a lot more.. But oh well... we will see what happens..
@Wheels2050 Thank you.. exactly what I was trying to say.. or did.. just not so nicely I guess.. Sorry Guys.. but I really don't think a machine takes a price cut.. and the company that makes it owes you money because you adopted it early.. and as I said to Doma... I seriously doubt any other company would even have to mention this.. not even bring it up as a topic.. but Nintendo does?? Seriously??
@TrueWiiMaster I agree with you.. well most of what you said.. I think you forget 8GB memory is cheaper than 32 GB memory.. 8 GB goes for about 7 bucks.. for instance(Pending on what it is) and 32 GB would go for at least 25 bucks.. (Once again pending on what we are talking about but you get the idea) so actually it is a price cut... because essentially speaking the difference between memory could mean you were getting the game free anyway... (Not likley but you were most likely getting it at a discount) so it is a price cut but it is a minor one to say the least..
@Doma Supporting them is not doing nothing.. and that's okay.. you'll just be giving it back to them.. and the last time I checked.. you were not setting here and saying the PS3 got a price cut I should get 10 dollars.. if you did Sony would just laugh and laugh at you..
You bunch of selfish SOB's that is all I can say.. I mean really.. poor lineup of games?? what the heck did you expect.. everything to be availaible for you at launch or shortly after... well if that is the case you are indeed naive to say the least.. it very seldom happens.. especially when a company is just now trying to deal with something like HD.. so what did you expect?? Nintendo franchises.. well to say the least patience is a virtue for a reason.. by the time everything is said and done.. I am sure if you are a Nintendo fan and you don't have a Wii U.. you will look nothing but foolish.. and Nintendo has never gotten everything right.. so I don't want to hear it on that front.. I mean what really did you expect?? Your screaming and crying Ambassador program is going to do nothing except make us look bad.. I am not cheap.. just because there is a price drop does not mean I expect free stuff.. I am sorry.. but that is kind of pathetic on your part.. you got the machine.. for a reason.. all of a sudden a price cut comes and your regretting it.. maybe you should have waited.. but don't ever demand things for free.. that is cheap on your part.. sorry..
I admit.. that I don't buy digitally what I can buy physically... but I wouldn't do that anyway.. even if I had the storage on the unit to do it... there really is no advantage to it.. not for me anyway... so it limits my online purchases to what is only available through download.. so in that way it's no big deal to me.. though I have to admit.. I think Nintendo has it wrong on certain things....but not enough for me to boycott it.. if they however don't fix certain things.. maybe we should "Triforcing them"
@LetsGoRetro Please tell me your kidding.. Lttp was nothing like the original.. with all that going between the light and dark world.. yes it had it's advances.. but there was a reason I waited to get it as the last game I bought on the SNES.. not the first... (Which it should have been if it was really good) Just like Link's Adventure.. sure I got it.. but it was the last game I got.. The original and Link's Awakening (Upon playing it) was the only ones that I had to have first and foremost.. and later OOT... but honestly Link's Awakening was a lot closer to the Original Zelda..and did not give me a headache with all the travelling between worlds.. and was a lot more fun... using your own terms of describing it.. it's more like have a cavalier.. and loving it.. and then getting a focus.. and saying naw... there is just something wrong there.. and finally getting a new cavalier.. and going yes.. this is it.. this is what I am looking for..
One of the best Zelda's ever period... Zelda 2 was not that great.. and Link to the past.. convinced me that Zelda had lost it's magic.. but Link's Awakening brought me back... and I stayed around.. there has been ups and downs in the series.. but this is . one of the best.. and most magical Zelda's ever made.. that being said.. how many re releases does this need?? Can we get a Pokemon on Wii U please?? the actual original Red and Blue ... that would be awesome too..
@StraTTtheRipper .. It is one player.. you have three computer controlled allies.. but you get to choose your Pokemon.. and you can choose theirs.. or they will choose something close to the type you have.. LOL... I went in with a Golduck and the computer popped in with three Psyducks... it was like Misty's worst nightmare.. LOL
@StraTTtheRipper Yes.. you choose your Pokemon.. and you have three CPU partners.. but yes it is a one player game if your talking about Rumble U... been playing it on and off all day.. Very Good Game.. and Very addicting..
Reggie= Damage Control... well said Reggie... I love how everyone says.. so what he is saying is.. we have DK, Zelda, and Mario.. (Like it's all chopped liver I might add) and it's same ole same ole for Nintendo.. when you can just as easily say on Sony/Microsoft side.. we have our yearly updates of Madden (That we are going to basically overcharge you for), NBA, Fifa, (Insert Golf game here) along with GTA, COD, God of War, Battlefield... etc.. and they act like these are the greatest and newest things in the world.. and not just basically the same thing they have been doing for what?? 20+ years now??
@Doma.. so your going to upgrade to exactly the same thing you currently have.. with just slight graphical improvements?? Wii U is a upgrade.. it's sounds to me like your truly downgrading your entire gaming experience though.. so really you are downgrading in the long run..
Back to topic.. I actually agree with Reggie... I looked at it and said.. you know if I wanted that.. I can just get a PS3.. and be satisfied for years.. it's no big deal.. there was nothing that looked.. A. That Impressive.. or B. Like anything new..
WTF did I just watch?? Is the guy trying to be funny.. or scare the pokepoo outta me?? Especially with that smile at the end... be afraid.. be very afraid..
Becomes stuck up like PS3 fans.. Nonsense it is worth the 350.00 it is going for here.. stupid people why are you not buying this amazing system?? LOL.. I was so sick of hearing that.. this is almost a year later.. and good timing in general.. the Wii U needed this earlier I guess.. but it is good now...right around the time of W101 Launch in North America.. perfect.. it should do okay..
Rayman Legends would have done better as a launch title.. instead they went with Zombie U.. it is Ubi's fault it went multi plat.. not Nintendo's or their fans.. who like Rayman... that being said as to seeing that Ubi delivered the goods on Splinter Cell for the most part.. I want Ubi to do well..
Actually Ninja Gaiden 3 RE is a fantastic game.. all those frame rate issues.. either I have not encountered them.. or they are almost non existent.. and slow down.. I only encountered one time... and that was a Helicopter flying in and blowing the holy heck out of everything... never had a problem in the middle of the action or anything.. I guess.. unless you include that.. but I had to run up to where it happened.. and.. had.. nothing there at first.. (A enemy rolled out on fire I think) but after it left.. no slow down.. I am actually hoping they do a Ninja Gaiden 4 and make it a Wii U exclusive... I hope they take Razors Edge.. and just improve it a little bit.. it is a solid game with potential to be better... Dead or Alive would be wonderful as well... and if they did another Metroid.. so be it.. Personally... I would like to see Rygar return as well...
@wombatkidd Ubi Soft made an error... by not releasing Rayman as a exclusive either with.. or before Zombie U.. Rayman would have done better... I agree with everything you said... but I thought I would point that out.. Nintendo is the only one who is expected to "technically" sell their own systems... third parties help in various ways to sell the others... can you imagine where PS would be is FF7 or Insert your favorite third party title here Had been on N64,Saturn, etc.. and not a PS exclusive?? Well I won't go so far as there would not be a PS family.. (Sony is/was huge the brand name Sony would sell it alone)
But I don't think it would have went over as well... I see Microsoft the same way as well..
@Salnax The Stink (Being nice) How about releasing Fifa and making it a Wii U bundle.. like your doing with XBOX One.. or maybe a Madden with Wii U in America.. I know it's not your job to sell Wii U.. but it is your job to sell your games.. and of course.. I might point out.. you should not be helping to try and sell the XBOX One either.. and yet.. your game is coming in a bundle of which will most likely help the One in certain regions..
Want new.. Amazon... Want Used... Amazon.. or Ebay... places like Gamestop are going to go down soon... which is sad... it means more jobs lost... but sometimes I wonder of Gamestop... and the like don't do it to themselves.. Maybe they should consider becoming the Red Box of Video Gaming... (Actually that is a good name for such a thing.. Gamestop..)
We're sorry but Heroes of Ruin was a average at best game and just not must buy.... (Even though it's of the ARPG genre.. which I love) and I just don't see myself jumping on Skylanders.. though it is a good game the extra money for figures would kill my wallet.. (When you consider the other games I want) I am not angry with you about this... but I am royally ticked about that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.. that was a load of Pokedookie..
Now wait a second.. what is this it's all bad for Wii U stuff.. the fact is.. 7-8 K was the average.. and 9 K is above average.. so it's looking better.. and 12 K is not a bad week at all for Wii U.. anywho.. liking the numbers out of Japan.. and surprised actually Wii U has kept above the average this long.. this quarter should look better for Nintendo..
@Samurai_Goroh and yet US will tell you we need a price cut... and that there is no value because we only have one good game worth purchasing.. and a bunch of remakes.. and updates.. that you can live without.. (They even look down upon MH3U.. which is one of the best games on the system) and Zombie U did not impress anyone here.. (Or very few) that it made little impact.. and exclusives such as Tank Tank Tank,.. (Should be called Ouch Ouch Ouch even though I like it..) is not helping.. they also talk about how much better the PS4 is looking (Graphics wise) and how they will have a killer line up by early 2014.. (Noting not exclusives so much.. but third party titles that are going to be the superior version) In the end.. I don't agree with that assessment at all.. (I actually thought most of the games on PS4 looked last gen.. or like they could easily been done on Wii U) There just was not that much of an upgrade.. by all rights and purposes..
Hmm limited stocking perhaps.. 30,000 should still be enough to get you on a chart in Japan.. maybe they need more time.. which will come more order.. which will come more sells.. it could do 30,000 one week.. and do 40,000 the next the way things are going.. supply and demand.. and at a little over a million sold in Japan.. a 30,000 start while not great.. is good enough..

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Methods and Means of Game Reviews
@XCWarrior Better system
0= Take all copies and burn them.. then deny the game ever came into being..
1= poor effort.. not worth buying..
2= Average.. worth checking out and maybe buying if your a huge fan of said character, franchise, or genre..
3= Good.. worth a rent and perhaps a buy..
4= Very Good.. should probably be on every ones buy list if they are a fan of said genre.
5= Classic.. if you don't have this you don't know what's good.. you need this game period..

I am not cheap.. just because there is a price drop does not mean I expect free stuff.. I am sorry.. but that is kind of pathetic on your part.. you got the machine.. for a reason.. all of a sudden a price cut comes and your regretting it.. maybe you should have waited.. but don't ever demand things for free.. that is cheap on your part.. sorry..
Re: We're Getting Digital Right On 3DS And Wii U, Insists Reggie
I admit.. that I don't buy digitally what I can buy physically... but I wouldn't do that anyway.. even if I had the storage on the unit to do it... there really is no advantage to it.. not for me anyway... so it limits my online purchases to what is only available through download.. so in that way it's no big deal to me.. though I have to admit.. I think Nintendo has it wrong on certain things....but not enough for me to boycott it.. if they however don't fix certain things.. maybe we should "Triforcing them"
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda (Wii U eShop / NES)
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Sixteen
Pokemon Rumble U and Ninja Gaidne 3 RE with a side of Project X Zone and Tank Tank Tank,,,
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda (Wii U eShop / NES)
One of the best Zelda's ever period... Zelda 2 was not that great.. and Link to the past.. convinced me that Zelda had lost it's magic.. but Link's Awakening brought me back... and I stayed around.. there has been ups and downs in the series.. but this is . one of the best.. and most magical Zelda's ever made.. that being said.. how many re releases does this need?? Can we get a Pokemon on Wii U please?? the actual original Red and Blue ... that would be awesome too..
Re: Nintendo Australia Has No Plans for Wind Waker HD Wii U Bundle or Limited Edition
We shall give you the Power, Courage, and Wisdom to "Triforcing them"
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th August (North America)
@StraTTtheRipper .. It is one player.. you have three computer controlled allies.. but you get to choose your Pokemon.. and you can choose theirs.. or they will choose something close to the type you have.. LOL... I went in with a Golduck and the computer popped in with three Psyducks... it was like Misty's worst nightmare.. LOL
Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)
@StraTTtheRipper Yes.. you choose your Pokemon.. and you have three CPU partners.. but yes it is a one player game if your talking about Rumble U... been playing it on and off all day.. Very Good Game.. and Very addicting..
Re: Reggie Has Seen The Xbox One And PS4 Launch Lineups, And He Says "Meh"
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th August (North America)
Pokemon Rumble U of course.. it's tail whippin' time..
Re: Video: The Wii U Difference Campaign Explores Entertainment
WTF did I just watch?? Is the guy trying to be funny.. or scare the pokepoo outta me?? Especially with that smile at the end... be afraid.. be very afraid..
Re: Wii U Deluxe Model Gets Official $50 Price Cut in North America
Becomes stuck up like PS3 fans.. Nonsense it is worth the 350.00 it is going for here.. stupid people why are you not buying this amazing system?? LOL.. I was so sick of hearing that.. this is almost a year later.. and good timing in general.. the Wii U needed this earlier I guess.. but it is good now...right around the time of W101 Launch in North America.. perfect.. it should do okay..
Re: Michel Ancel Outlines Creative Philosophy and Acknowledges That Rayman Legends "Is a Risk"
Re: Team Ninja Still Keen To Continue Wii U Support, But Not With Ports
Re: EA Executive Repeats That The Company is "Platform Agnostic", Cites "Tremendous Relationship" With Nintendo
Re: EA Executive Repeats That The Company is "Platform Agnostic", Cites "Tremendous Relationship" With Nintendo
Re: Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara Delayed Again on Wii U
Waiting... and Waiting...Taps ground impatiently..
Re: GameStop Sales and Profits Take a Hit Ahead of Vital Shopping Period
Want new.. Gamestop..)
Re: n-Space Not Currently Working On New Projects For Nintendo Consoles
We're sorry but Heroes of Ruin was a average at best game and just not must buy.... (Even though it's of the ARPG genre.. which I love) and I just don't see myself jumping on Skylanders.. though it is a good game the extra money for figures would kill my wallet.. (When you consider the other games I want) I am not angry with you about this... but I am royally ticked about that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.. that was a load of Pokedookie..
Re: Disney Magic Castle Prospers in Japan, Wii U Sales Return to Five Figures
Now wait a second.. what is this it's all bad for Wii U stuff.. the fact is.. 7-8 K was the average.. and 9 K is above average.. so it's looking better.. and 12 K is not a bad week at all for Wii U.. anywho.. liking the numbers out of Japan.. and surprised actually Wii U has kept above the average this long.. this quarter should look better for Nintendo..
Re: More Evidence Emerges of a Wind Waker HD Wii U Bundle
Re: Rumour: Potential Wii U Pokémon Title Could be a Fighting Game Called Pokkén Fighters
Wooohooo... I hope so.. this looks like it could be good..
Re: The Wonderful 101 Reportedly Shipping Just 30,000 Copies for Japanese Launch
Re: Review: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (Nintendo 64)
Oh I remember this.. I loved this game.. though it made me a little sick sometimes.. still a great game..
