Re: Talking Point: F-Zero GX HD Could Boost the Franchise onto Wii U

Relias

I am not sure F-Zero would do so well in the current climate... to many racers.. and racing fans ignore this sort of stuff... Nintendo fans may or may not flock to it.. if they did it would do well... but they need to focus on Zelda, Metroid, something that will push systems.. a F-Zero is another one of those that solidifies the line up but won't make people buy the system..

Re: Video: New Pokémon X & Y Footage Emerges, Proves How Exciting it Really Is

Relias

Looks good.. but Geez if you paid me to advertise your game.. I could probably.. make myself go OOO.. wow... and look see.. and clap and laugh to... hell if they paid me.. I could make myself go OOOOOOOO the cllllllaaaaaawwwww to... I am sorry.. nothing against em.. just saying they are being paid well to make this the coolest thing since Kool Aid.. so you know... still this does look like a good game overall..

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Shaping Up To Acquire Troubled Atlus

Relias

@Doma They will if it for the betterment of the company.. and I see having at least two of the most popular JRPG's on your side as better for a company in the long run.. it's like if they somehow bought out Square Enix.. right now.. may not seem to make much sense.. but if they kept them.. they would have three top selling franchises in the long run.. and it would be better for the company... (FF, Dragonquest, Kingdom Hearts) and Atlus was one of the few companies that supported them with any kind of a RPG back in the N64 era.. this led into one of the best SRPG's of all time according to a lot of gamers.. and sites list.. (Ogrebattle 64) so yes overall it would be a very smart investment on Nintendo's part.. plus if someone else buys them.. (Which I doubt) they loose a potential system selling crossover.. so yeah it makes sense.. now.. and for the long run..

Re: Play Expo Confirms Nintendo's Attendance This October

Relias

Personally.. I would say at one of these type things they have a Demo of the New Zelda U up and going.. (Whatever the title maybe.. ) also they need to unleash a Wii Sports U that is playable.. and surprise people by saying it is coming out this year... that would blow some minds.. (Believe it or not) or perhaps something like Fire Emblem for the U and say it will launch at the end of the year.. OMG.. you want to see Wii U have a good holiday season.. either of those titles would push it.. that being said.. they need to have demos ready world wide.. along with a small Nintendo Direct.. not in just one place.. get everyone hyped for their games at once.. this would help boost sales I think.. (Oh and more outlets having playable demos in America.. through out the US.. not a bad idea..)

Re: Pikmin 3 Listed As £39.99 On The Wii U eShop in The UK

Relias

For the record yes.. The Wii U will download if you shut it off.. how you know this is happening is the light should be Orange.. not the regular red of a shutoff.. I have dloaded Demos.. Including Monster Hunter Like this.. when I did not have a game yet.. so the answer is yes..

Re: Strider Could Come To The Wii U eShop "If There's Demand For It"

Relias

I hate this crap... first off there is nothing to say there is not a demand.. hell it's a Eshop game.. which is almost naked on the Wii U at this point release it.. it should do well.. if it';s a good game.. also I never understand 3rd party companies always complaining their games don't do well on a Nintendo system.. always says Nintendo games hog their sales.. and then comes back and says it's up to Nintendo to make their system a viable choice.. before they put their games out.. their logic is so backwards and stupid.. it almost makes me want to B-Slap em all.. if you released really good games on a Nintendo System on time.. that can compare to other systems.. or on time in general.. you would see better sales.. if you actually put the time and effort into a game.. and made it look better than a PS3.. and do not give me that excuse Wii U is so weak it can't do better.. if you believe that.. well anyway.. not to mention if you release them when the big N is not unloading all their hits.. and actually.. during times when Nintendo fans don't have a lot to choose from.. you might get better sales.. Ubi as an example.. will tank this year most likely.. and will say that because they did they will not support the Wii U.. but actually other than maybe Splinter Cell.. there is not one game they are releasing that is not to close to a Nintendo franchise... and in ref. to a joke Namco used on the PS Vita.. Why would Ubi's sells tank?? I DON'T KNOW..

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the Famicom / NES

Relias

Man... my first time playing Nintendo.. was so long ago.. I got to play Zelda.. at the time the NES was still going for like 800 to 1000 dollars believe it or not and the games were 150-300 dollars a piece.. my cousin had one... and.. I was addicted to it... I was already a gamer.. cause I had a Atari 2600... and loved it.. but Nintendo was just awesome.. my jaw hit the floor on the graphics.. LOL.. believe it or not.. those were as realistic as you got... it is a great system.. and has such great games.. that even in this day and age.. it still is the home of many priceless memories.. just awesome..

Re: Review: EarthBound (Wii U eShop)

Relias

@GamerJunkie Shush you.. or we lock you up in a room playing Michael Pachter 24/7 for the next 4 years...

Honestly just cause your to cheap to support.. you know.. anybody.. or anything.. on the Wii U and the Eshop apparently.. does not mean we are... you can keep all your Indie stuff.. we will take our Nintendo and others stuff.. and then come back and support the Indies when we are ready..

Re: Just 3% of All Ubisoft's Sales Came From Wii U in Q2 2013

Relias

If Zombie U accounted for 3 percent of the total profits considering low sales of the Wii U.. I think Ubi should be happy.. cause somehow.. I don't see Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth selling that well... with that being said.. there is two problems.. most of the major Wii U titles.. (Or what Nintendo fans call the major titles) are scheduled right along with their main titles.. somehow I think Just Dance and Rayman may be the only two that will be able to compete.. two.. the whole reason most people own a Wii U.. is because of the first party titles.. and to break away from the same ole same ole.. which all of Ubi's ports for the most part is just that.. the same old thing... I actually have no Ubi games I am interested in... so I don't plan on helping I guess.. sorry Ubi.. with that being said.. I do have some third party games.. that I have bought and have pre orders for... Ubi needs to port some RPG's like they used too... Wii U needs them badly... then I would support Ubi..

Re: Soapbox: When It Comes To Software Support, The Grass Isn't Always Greener

Relias

Well... me and my sister are happy with our Wii U.. I could not vote... because frankly I am somewhere between the first two options.. just playing on the Wii U is fun... and I do believe Nintendo makes some of the best.. if not the best games on the market.. that being said I would not want to see third party support completely dry up either.. with that being said.. yeah... I loved all the hype of the 3,097th brand new*Cough Cough* Survival Horror, First Person Shooters, and Racers...that basically do the same things over and over again.. and yet these very same people complain when a new Mario hit's the market.. it's just the same thing over and over again they say.. well yeah they do perhaps.. but just like your darn shooters and stuff.. it's still freaking fun.. and that is what is most important... and yeah I was a little disappointed with Nintendo's E3... it wasn't what I had hoped it would be... but I came out thinking the year will still be exciting.. and frankly to me anyway it was the best E3 showing.. I got depressed when I saw the others.. first off.. the graphic improvements... was nothing... to get hyped about... at all.. it was so minor.. it had me wondering what people were talking about.. and that Killer Instinct trailer they were showing.. when I first saw it.. I was wondering why something like that would hit my PS2... when they said it was a XBOX One Game.. I was like dang.. there is just nothing to get excited about at all... then I looked at all the games and exclusives.. and it was basically like they were saying last generation will never die.. with the limited variety.. it was just so depressing... and actually inspired both me and my sis to pick up Wii U's there is just nothing there.. at all..

Re: Review: Donkey Kong (Wii U eShop / NES)

Relias

On sale now.. I bought it yesterday ion North America for 30 cents.. hell for that price it is well worth it... though I would have been PO'ed if I paid 4.99 for it.. it's no Mario.. it should not go past 1.99 tops..

Re: Talking Point: The Famicom Was the Beginning of the Modern Gaming Era

Relias

Retro Gaming is way more awesome... I have several old systems including the original Nintendo.. and I love it.. and I have to admit.. the last great consoles.. were the PS2 era ones.. these new ones.. just are not impressive.. the games were better.. but I do agree.. Nintendo.. forced you to play hard.. and good.. honing your skills to get past that one last boss.. at the threat of you have to replay the entire game.. that was part of the charm... actually... now in days.. even on my favorite systems.. it seems the game holds your hand.. and allows you just to save anywhere.. so all you have to do is load a file.. it kind of sucks.. because you don't actually have to play the game now.. you just hit save... and load.. get lucky.. hit save again... blah... in addition like everything in gaming.. the quality of games has been diluted.. back then if you paid 60 bucks for a game.. it was a good game.. with a crapload of challenge and gameplay that made you want to play it again.. now you pay 60 bucks and get games that you only want to play through once.. back then it.. was all about gameplay.. now it's all about flashy graphics and hardware... it was a far better time to be a gamer back then... heck it was a better time being a gamer in the PS2 era... anywho.. Happy Birthday to one of the greatest systems of all time..

Re: Aonuma Is Growing "Tired" Of The Zelda Formula And Wants To Ring The Changes

Relias

Open World Zelda?? Now that would be impressive... but the thing is.. what world would we have?? Zelda is one of those series.. that sometimes.. seems to take place on different worlds.. and sometimes altered realities... I mean really.. look how many times Hyrule has changed over the years?? It went from forests, mountains, deserts, and dungeons in the original.. to having ranches and a huge castle city.. and a place with keebler elves... and a Giant Talking Tree... and most likely changed even more after that..

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Optimistic About The Future of Wii U

Relias

Well I see the following happening...

1. Right now Target has the basic model on sale for 240.00... Now they cannot keep Wii U's in stock.. (Though the question is.. how much do they order.. and are all those basic ones??)

2. The Wii U is getting plenty of first party support with just enough 3rd party support to make a hard push for the holidays no matter what the price point is..

3. The system is a year old almost.. by the time the holidays come around.. it will have better Black Friday Deals... and should sell a boat load..

4. In addition.. whether you think it needs one or not.. it will most likely get a price cut.. even if it forced.. like the Target one...

5. Something to remember the system has sold 4 million units a system that by all rights and purposes.. depends on first party games to sell it.. and has had very little first party support.. for the first year...that by any standards should be considered impressive.. in this day and age.. (Really think about it.. can any other system that had.. what most would consider one or two titles to pick up upon launch and the most expensive price point pending on where your at could actually do this??)

6. The price cut is coming.. and will most likely be there in time for the holidays..as thus.. I to am optimistic..

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS)

Relias

Sorry but your talking about Shin Megami Tensei.. hands down the best JRPG period at this point.. 9 is not good enough.. LOL... But honestly.. if you like JRPG's with some strategy and planning.. no matter what.. this game is for you.. and it is a 10 out of 10 thank you very much..

Re: Investment Expert Feels Nintendo Earnings Miss Will Trigger Multi-Platform Approach

Relias

First off once you go mobile your credibility starts to drop.. look at Sega.. if you go by what they have on mobile phones they are a company of suck..only when you get what they have on the consoles.. do they become a good-great company.. and even at that once Sega got out of hardware.. their games and series started declining sharply in quality... Nope Nintendo would not be good for going this route at all.. The Big N needs to stay on Consoles.. and frankly if you really want to play their games.. it's more than likely the console is going to be cheaper than a smart phone or tablet.. even with the games you want to purchase..

Re: Ubisoft CEO Admits ZombiU Sales Were Disappointing, No Plans For Sequel

Relias

I am guessing that means the Zombie U Bundle isn't going well on Amazon... this is more bad news for the Wii U... it really needed not only an original franchise from third parties.. with a sequel or two... I honestly did not like the game.. but I can see how others would.. but I think A. Nintendo was the wrong system for this kind of franchise.. and B. Survival Horror games in general have went down in popularity.. as thus.. this is not really.. going to do well.. and is not a huge unit mover.. that being said... I do think we may see a sequel.. if the Wii U sells more units.. and those units are accompanied by Zombie U sells..

Re: Iwata: Third Party Wii U Launch Titles Could Not Enjoy Brisk Sales As Many Were Ports

Relias

It is both parties faults really... Nintendo needed to have more first party titles at launch.. to move systems.. but then.. even if they did.. if most third party games were only cheap ports.. (or really bad) or generally speaking ripoff games.. (Where we get one part of a series with no DLC or anything.. while everyone else gets the entire series.. with DLC etc.) What the heck did Third parties expect?? We are not going out there and buying such games..

Re: Miyamoto: GamePad's Touch Screen Primarily Used To Make Navigating Menus Easier

Relias

I think the Wii U is just like everything Nintendo has launched the past couple of generations.. for Instance.. I loved my DS.. (Still do) But I hate it when I have to set here.. try to draw things.. touch a screen to get my characters to move.. plus have time to tap what I just drew.. to try and play a game.. there has to be lines.. and for the most part.. every time I read you have to draw things.. that was one less game for me to buy.. I loved it when it was used as a menu.. or as a map.. or maybe a combination of the two.. that was perfect...the problem was it seemed like all the developers were forcing the touch screen down our throats.. and saying hey look you can draw stuff... well news to developers.. if I wanted to draw stuff.. I would by a game for drawing... not a RPG.. not a Action Game.. or adventure game.. Just a nice drawing game... and the Wii's Waggle or whatever.. is the same way.. yes I enjoyed it sometimes.. but I hated it too.. there was no sense putting it in a lot of games it was in.. and I am sorry... I was not inspired to play DKC.. and if it over uses the controllers.. it will be on the shelf.. DKC would have been perfect on the classic controller.. No Waggle... No Gamepad.. or you know.. having the option of how you want to play it..

Re: Soapbox: Why Region Locking Is A Total Non-Issue

Relias

While region locking makes no difference to me personally.. (I like supporting US shops.. and unless my system also comes with a translator.. since I would most likely be getting games out of Japan.. like say Dragonquest.. I can just wait.. I like being able to understand what the people are saying and reading the menu's without a translation book/dictionary.. thank you) I do see why people would want it.. and why Nintendo should most likely do it.. now XBONE and PS4 both have a leg up on Nintendo.. and well the Wii U is already on life support at best.. So in this case.. I would advise Nintendo to do it... they are already behind in Hardware.. and most likely.. will be soon enough in games.. and sells.. of next gen consoles.. they don't need to be behind in this as well..

Re: Freedom Factory's Bloodbath Coming to Wii U

Relias

Someone should have called it Rey Mysterio and friends goes Postal... seriously.. it does look interesting.. but with only 6 characters.. I think it's download only.. at release.. I don't see a fighter no matter how brutal hitting the market with only 6 characters.. unless of course.. there are extra characters to brutalize.. and these 6 are just the maim characters...

Re: Video: This Shin Megami Tensei IV Limited Edition Set is a Thing of Beauty

Relias

Think of SMT this way.. let's say your used to Final Fantasy, Tales, (Insert other Generic RPG here) and then you went back and played an old Dungeons and Dragons Game on the PC... and I am not talking Neverwinter Nights.. or Baldur's Gate.. I am talking the old ones where you created a Wizard and he had like 1-3 HP.. and a Goblin with a Sling could kill him in one shot... That is SMT... it is brutal in character design.. (Somethings may make you crap your pants) as a matter of fact you would be comfortable watching a movie based off this game on a horror marathon for Halloween...but it is brutal in difficulty as well.. it will kill you relentlessly.. and laugh at your passing.. if you don't bring the right strategy... and there is no auto save.. or save points everywhere.. put that with the fact that you can find the right strategy for one area/room.. and go into another and get slaughtered.. well.. needless to say.. you had better be pretty hardcore.. and have a lot of patience because it is worth it... and they are all great games.. but pwepare to die... a lot..

Re: Eiji Aonuma - The Wind Waker HD is a "Test Case" for New Zelda Wii U Title

Relias

@Warbeard Well it can be implemented through a menu system.. for instance.. The Default Mode would take full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii U.. second screen and all.. but if you want to.. you can go into options and shut it down... this would be a way to do it.. and maybe inspire other developers to do things like it.. or try it.. to see if it is successful..

Re: Nintendo Download: 4th July (Europe)

Relias

Project X Zone is fun but it's easy... still if you are starving for RPG's on your 3DS it's not bad.. however for cheaper you could get Shining Force: Sword of Haya, Defenders of Oasis, and Crystal Warriors.. and have just as much fun and possibly more play time and challenge than X Zone... but hey.. the choice is up to you all..

Re: EA: Frostbite 3 On Wii U "Not Impossible"

Relias

Listen up you good and wonderful Nintendo fans.. if your system sells.. and there are gamers that own your system... we will come back to your system.. now be good little puppies and wait for us... so we can give you a bunch of cheap ports and games that already came out on other systems.. but without the DLC... but until then here is a little treat... Hands us Milk Bones.. and gently pats our heads Good puppies...

Re: Project Sweat Could Come To Wii U if Stretch Goal is Reached

Relias

@Einherjar Well I am not sure.. but for some developers it could go for initial labor.. think about it.. some of these developers may go month's without a paycheck.. for all you know we are keeping a roof over their heads.. paying the cost for the equipment they needed.. plus the license and what not... besides it's really no different than giving money to the Government.. they get all this money.. but if you did a Check.. you would find out 50-75% of every penny they collect disappears.. and never makes it to what they said it was going for.. and yet no one seems to mind giving them hundreds-Thousands of dollars as long as they have a decent road to travel on.. Maybe this developer is being honest and only has to pay for a kit.. and license others are not so lucky.. But in the end if you like the RPG Genre.. who cares as long as you have a decent game to buy.. and enjoy..

Re: Microsoft Execs Thought They Owned Donkey Kong After Acquiring Rare

Relias

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Rare behind Jet Force Gemini... and who owns that Nintendo.. or Rare if that is the case... that would have been a franchise Microsoft could have done something with... well.. actually after playing Perfect Dark on XBOX.. maybe it's better they didn't.. However if the big N owns it.. right about now would be a good time to bring back a fondly remembered title.. (Hint Hint)

Re: Atlus USA States That It's Currently "Unaffected" by Issues With Japanese Parent Company

Relias

Nintendo needs to buy Atlus.. sorry.. I remember one of the few RPG's on N64 was Ogre Battle 64.. and frankly.. if you really love hardcore strategy RPG's then that is still in your top ten.. if you did not play it.. shame on you.. plus as a result of Nintendo supporting the company we got Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodus... and if Nintendo would buy them.. they would have a great RPG house that could do a Super Mario RPG 2.. plus the Persona Series.. would be wonderful on both the WiiU and 3DS... Honestly at this point if you want to see JRPG's it needs to be with Nintendo.. because Microsoft will never give them a chance with Person or Shin Megami Tensei.. (MS themselves have said repeatedly.. JRPG's don't sell.. ) and Sony would be a okay option.. but Nintendo needs them more..

Re: EA Outlines Its Reasons for Lack of Wii U Support

Relias

Now I just wish they would make up their mind on what excuse they want to stick with.. the problem is.. they pretty much said if the Wii U were to sell 15 million units overnight all of a sudden they would be there.. and damn their Frostbite Engine.. and all the lack of their work teams etc.. now they say because they have limited resources they can't afford to make games for the Wii U.. and before it was I believe the same excuse as the second one.. How about you just say Nintendo sucks.. you don't want to support them until they sell a trillion units.. and even then you will only do it with cheap ports.. and ripoff games with no DLC.. maybe releasing one really great title every once in awhile.. we are adults.. EA.. we can handle truth... just come out and admit it.. and no I don't want to hear anymore excuses about hardware and underpowered.. because you already admitted if enough units sold you would make games for it.. so apparently Underpowered is not an issue..the Engine your using is not an issue.. nor is the work teams you have.. (And I am going to be nice.. and not bring up what every developer.. and heck even Sony and Microsoft said about the power needed to make triple A titles.)

Re: Talking Point: It's Time for Nintendo to Drop Region Locking

Relias

@Doma Not really sorry... The Wii U is exactly what developers need in power.. the only time they complain is because it is not overpowered.. which means in actuality they should be able to deliver games faster and better on it... which is a good thing.. except now they don't want to produce for it.. because of Nintendo's errors and low sells.. to be fair however most third parties do not want to make anything for Nintendo anyway.. not really..
