I've bought it. It plays really well and is very tongue in cheek. It's aware of what sort of game it is and embraces it's immature humour. (The company is called MI-69 for example). It has an old school difficulty as well with only 1 or 2.checkpoints in each level. Which j love as well, keep retrying and doing a little better each time.

@WhiteTrashGuy It's far from ideal but holding ZR on the N64 app turns the face buttons into C buttons. This game is not suited for dual analogue as I noticed on the Xbox although I did get quite far still even though I had to flick the right stick up to jump xD

There's been a few candles that, when hit, opens a trap door and I end up in a room with zombies infinitely respawning. Is there a way out of them or are they just beginner's traps that want to add insult to injury rather than just a straight pit?

@Mana_Knight I'm with you there. I'm always finding it overwhelming nowadays. Yeah it's nice to have a lot more games than I did in the n64 era but I'm not putting anywhere near as much time into each game as I did back then so I'm not getting as much out of them

But that's coming from someone who has gamepass but only uses my XBOX Series S to play Rare Replay... I'm currently paying £11 a month to play N64 games on my Xbox... You can tell what my gaming tastes are

I just gave it a go and won a tournament. Each of my opponents were trying to use the special moves as much as possible when they clearly haven't got the hang of them. I didn't need to use them so won playing basically. It plays very well and the special moves seem like a fun addition once I get used to them. I won't play anymore though because I don't want to see too much before the game comes out

I was all for the map system with separate levels and sticker combat but the lack of exp and levelling up made the battles seem completely pointless. Add levelling up back and I will be interested.

I see splatoon's plan here. Pokken is coming out so they know people will most likely spend their weekend on that. So make a splatfest to keep people playing.
