Nice to see this sequel starting to come to fruition. It is definitely one of gaming’s greatest horror survival games. It’s a better form of entertainment than most of the movies/comics released since Alien 2. They nailed the atmosphere with this one. I believe I still have some of the DLC to complete, definitely looking forward to this one. I don’t see it skipping Switch 2 altogether though , will likely get the grainier “mainly” 30 FPS port if there will be one. They did a fine port last time , I hope they don’t cut corners this time around just chasing Ray tracing

I think it’s that exactly , a Splatoon based extraction spin off.

This could potentially be a sleeper hit for the year, a Nintendo take on the extraction genre??…all baked into the Splatoon universe? Could have mass appeal if done right. It would be so Nintendo to completely steal all the thunder with a fresh take on such a popular genre. Nothing revolutionary required just make whatever it is FUN. The Arc Raiders and Marathons of the world can exist within their niche markets meanwhile Nintendo has the opportunity to make it accessible and mainstream in popularity

Just make a Ganondorf spinoff game already! Show his experience and pressures of being the sole male of the Gerudo Tribe, his rise to King and what lies at the heart of his insatiable thirst for power and hatred of the Hylian Royal family and some kid named Link

Currently vacationing in Cabos, Mexico! So I’ll be playing some Keep any Sand from getting on my Switch:Switch 2 Edition Actually ended up surprising the kids, woke them up at 3AM and told them we’re going to the beach in Mexico 🏖️! Classic core memory for em’! It’s also my Bday weekend so kinda cool to be spending it abroad.

Gaming wise I ended up getting the Resident Evil: Generations package. I did surprise the kids with Pokopia but so far they think the games a bore 😂! I’ll be double clutching drinks and trying to finish up Ninja Gaiden:Ragebound and I just started RE7:Biohazard

Silksong is definitely a different beast than Hollow Knight Hornet controls more fluidly and the addition of Tools evolves the gameplay! Enjoy your playthrough, I’m looking forward to the upcoming new free content!

RE Village on Xbox Series X. The games been pretty “meh” to be honest. It has its moments but the game hasn’t exactly captivated me. I’ll try out RE 7 after this and I’m still debating whether to get RE:Requiem on Switch 2 or Xbox.

Ninja Gaiden : Ragebound it’s been a great ode to the original NES titles. I appreciate the challenge the game brings!

*Ball x Pit which I didn’t like initially but it’s becoming addicting once you get a bit deeper into the game.

Currently rotating between some Chatty Kathy and classic but hard hitting Pineapple Express…it hits better than a cup of coffee! For late nights I’ll reserve some “Death Bubba* and Comatose 😮‍💨

I was just like you not too long ago! Had never played a Monster Hunter title in any capacity. I finally took a swing with MH4 on the 3DS. There is definitely a learning curve , takes a bit of time to get the hang of…but once you do..WATCH OUT! The gaming loop is highly addictive as is hunting with others online. It has a great online community and you do not need to be a pro player to enjoy it. It is a unique experience and it’s so popular for a reason. MH Rise is a great place to start in the series as it’s great at easing in new players. Maybe 1 day I’ll see you on a hunt!

I did watch Anaheim comeback to win that game, honestly I was more annoyed with us getting the OT pt than losing the game. We are rebuilding so we need to bottom out for that high draft pick 😝! I’d love for the Knights to win the Cup…only because we’d get your 1st round pick next year due to us trading Rasmus Andersson to you. I do hope you get the W tonight over the Oilers! I’ve been playing RE Village on the Xbox Series X via Gamepass. It’s my first FPS RE game I’ve played, haven’t decided whether to get RE Requiem on Switch 2 or Xbox Series X. 1st World problems!

On Switch 2 I haven’t been playing much on it as of late. Still enjoying Absolum and need to get back to clearing my backlog…I almost forgot I still haven’t even started Hades 2!

Looks like the Vegas Knights are stumbling down the stretch! They have terrible goaltending at the moment. My Flames are in full rebuild mode, stocked up on draft picks at the Trade Deadline. I just ask that you guys beat the Oilers on Sunday 😝!!

On a side note…I’m I the only person getting annoyed these days everytime a game is described as Cosy…seems like every other game nowadays is Cosy 😂

Nintendo doesn’t do “Pro” models, you might get an OLED screen or a Lite model but don’t count on any hardware mid term refreshers from Nintendo. If anything the base model price will be going up with the semi conductor shortage kicking in. A higher spec’s console would be expensive to make at this time, it’s extremely unlikely. The Switch 2 was designed with some future proofing in mind. This is gonna be it my friend.

The games developed for future PS6 and Xbox systems will be scalable to be played on current gen hardware as well. Sure they likely won’t look as shinny or run as well but it’s been a “game” of diminishing returns with each new generation. The next gen will be an incremental jump in performance not a generational one so you won’t notice huge differences between say a PS5 Pro vs PS6. If anything the next gen evolution will be in form factor, as Nintendo Switch has completely disrupted the industry to where home consoles are required hybrid or portable features. Some games will be too beefy for Switch 2, even some current gen games already are but the vast majority of games developed will likely target Switch 2 platforms. Theres no ignoring the Switch family install base anymore with Switch 2 being a viable current gen platform to develop for.

It’s cold as funk outside. Hurts to go outside right now 😂. It looks like I’m not alone in indulging in some Cyberpunk 2077 this weekend. I’ve stayed feeding my Backlog like a good minion with a mix of physical and digital games from holiday sales. Currently between Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and might start up Legend Of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom or Hades 2

On a side note..I had to attend a funeral for a friend yesterday. Just a reminder that life really is short and the small stuff is not worth stressing over!

I’ve been eyeing Nine Sols myself, I have it on Gamepass but it seems perfect for a portable like the Switch 2. At 50% off, FishyS … I think our patience deserves a reward!

This will be one of the most underwhelming announcements once it’s finally revealed. Cool to have the option of COD on Switch consoles but this seems like a “too late” scenario for this franchise.

My guy I just went through this! Had a bunch of time off and all the intent to dedicate a good amount of time to gaming but when the time came, the ambition just wasn’t there. It’s been a fairly busy holiday season but I definitely feel as though I didn’t properly take advantage of the time. You’re definitely not alone in that sense, sometimes taking a break from gaming is part of the vacation too! Btw..I have CIV 6, seems like a cool series I’ve never played it but I’m rooting for ya every playthrough! 😝

I finished Metroid Prime 4 and I’m curious to see where that franchise and story head towards. I’m really enjoying Absolum at the moment, I’ve recently purchased Cast N Chill and Skate Story because my Backlog could use the company. Just might give UFO 50 a try but not sure if I’m in a retro gaming mood.

On XSX I’ll likely give RE4 and Armored Core a shot and continue with Outer Worlds 2.

Christmas absolutely blew by, let alone 2025 in general. Hope ever is enjoying their holidays and the final weekend of the year. I’m on the final boss in Metroid Prime 4, will probably play some more Absolum with my son and hope to really breakdown some of the ever growing backlog. I’ve purchased a bunch of games for Xbox Series X so hope to try those out before the Xbox brand writes itself out of gaming 😝 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Winter is here with an absolute vengeance, it’s ridiculously cold AND snowy. Perfect gaming weather! I bought a snowblower so I’ve officially retired from the shovel 🪏! Hope u enjoy your games!

In the end it turned out to be a brilliant PR move. The game has definitely found some new life on Switch 2 and being listed as the #1 Bestseller during the Xmas shopping surge is huge for visibility especially all those new Switch 2 owners

It’s funny looking back at the Game Gear and to have ppl complain about battery life of 4-5 hrs on their fully portable home consoles in 2025 😝

I finished Act 3 in SilkSong I’m at 98% completion. What a masterpiece. I can’t recall being this focused on 1 game in some time. It’s fun and challenging in the sense where few games create the same level of accomplishment. A beautiful game that’s not meant for everyone.

Not sure what I’ll start next, perhaps a mix of Hades 2 and Outer Worlds 2. Could be a sequel weekend! End of the year gaming rush is legit and hard to believe Metroid Prime 4 is out in a few weeks.

It’s getting colder outside-hot chocolate and a spliff kind of weather 😉!

SilkSong has been my main game since its release. I’m not a compulsive 100% completion type gamer but this is one of the rare ones.

I’ve added Hades 2, Absolum to the Backlog and I’m still cautiously optimistic about Metroid Prime 4 ..that motorcycle trailer really kind of “cheapened “ my expectations for the game even going in with Switch 1 considerations. I’m sure it’ll be another banger! 😬

Think I’m going to close out my Gamepass sub in 2026 as gaming costs are hyper inflating! Pretty crazy the new Xbox Ally Rog is pretty much the cost of 2 Switch 2’s! Nintendo truly disrupted the industry with their hybrid console.

Silksong has been the only the game I’ve been playing. This game is a marriage between beauty and brutal and fun and frustration and yet..I love it! I’m in Act 2 currently looking to track down 1 last food item (Courier’s Rasher) for the food snob of Pharloom. I just beat Lugoli…which was quite the challenge! I do have Hades 2 already downloaded but I’m gonna wait on that one until my Silksong addiction has subsided.

Ah yes..The Last Judge. Probably the 1st wall I hit in the game. Don’t give up…the fight is a bit of a marathon, once u are familiar with their move set you can slow the fight down so to speak. Worst part about that fight was the traversal!…one of the more annoying bench placements in the game for sure. Best of luck to you!..if I’m not mistaken you are Canadian so “elbows up”!! 😆

On a side note it’s a bit sad watching Xbox self destruct its own brand. I do own a Series X but it’s looking like my last console I’m buying from Microsoft. Competition is a good thing but it’s clear there’s no more Big 3 in gaming. It looks like it’s down to just Sony and Nintendo now.

Yeah I’m not expecting the game to be an outright bad game. 7 is still a good game but I’d love for this review as a 9 or higher! I’m just prepared for the hype to settle down and you know these licensed games don’t typically review very well so I could see this being a 7 or less. My hype is currently “must play” but could see it dropping too “wait for a sale”

I have high hopes for this game but I’m fully prepared for it to review as a 7

It’s available on both Switch 1 and 2. However the Switch 2 version has the obvious optimal performance…120hz in Tv Mode!! 🤓

2025 turned out to be a banger of a year. It didn’t start out as such but as the release dates started trickling in…this was actually an amazing year for gaming. Between DK Bananza, Hades 2 and Silksong you have arguably 3 “perfect score” games all released within 2 months of each other. Claire Expeditions 33 could be GOTY, if Metroid Prime 4 delivers than 2025 could be one of the best years in gaming

Gamers are getting spoiled in 2025. Between the launch of Switch 2 (DK Bananza, MKW) games such as Claire Expedition 33, Silksong and Hades 2 being released weeks of each other, Ghost of Yotei, Kirby’s Air Ride and MP4 for example still enroute. Rounding out 2025 has turned out to be an all timer

That series is easily one of the best visual novels ever. Definitely agree playing 999 is definitely worth it. Those games will take your mind’s virginity 😝! Which reminds me I need to to start the AI:Somnium series at some point

Singing along to Silksong…a song about joy and pain! It really is a superb game, at $20 this could be one of the best value GOTY candidates ever. Somehow I’m still playing Ace Combat 7, I’m on the final level but have not given the game much time of late. Looking forward to Hades 2 next week..just need to decide whether to buy it digitally or wait for that physical release in November. 1st World problems right there.

My Xbox Series X has again gone up in price! It’s bizarre watching this gen unfold, usually consoles reduce in price and get smaller versions released after 5 years. Those were the days!

The game is both beautiful and brutal. It can be challenging but it’s not unfair. If you played through the original Hollow Knight then your expectations regarding difficulty should already be set. I know the “Git Good” argument isn’t fair to apply here but I would recommend this game for seasoned gamers. If you played games in the 80s and 90s then you should have enough skill, patience and appreciation of the level of difficulty this game offers. It’s hard but it’s not impossible

I’m thoroughly enjoying my SilkSong playthrough. It already feels like another masterpiece. It’s challenging but so much fun to play. It’s mind blowing it’s only $20

Cosmic Ghost Rider is a really cool character choice. Glad you know your comics! I actually have the latest Cosmic Ghost Rider series but have yet to read it. This game is looking pretty dope so far, I’d imagine some future DLC should round out a pretty beefy roster

Many people seem to be over reacting to the trailer but I get it…the open world concept doesn’t suit Metroid, gamers want that classic “claustrophobic” isolating Metroid of past. To be honest for whatever reason I think there may be a separate bike mode in the game. There’s definitely some Samus bike interaction in the main campaign but I don’t recall the game being labeled as Open World during development. I’d recommend waiting until it’s released before writing it off!

Glad I waited for a patch before starting this one. Playing NES Ninja Gaiden as a kid
was like earning a degree in twitch reflexes, gruelling platforming, enemy respawn and boss attack patterns. Its likely a major reason I can enjoy challenging games like SilkSong

Apparently the Eshop is the 1st Boss in SilkSong 😂

Imagine if this game ends up reviewing poorly! 😂
