Here's another 40-something gaming dude with the Wave Race fetish... which is why I don't like driving on water in MKW - it feels NOTHING like Wave Race.
It's amazing! I liked the previous FAST games, but I LOVE this one! The jump mechanic does wonders and is such a thrill to use! The track Yama Crest is just... pure love!
Sonic Frontiers has been criminally overlooked in the discussion for best soundtrack of the year! I didn't even play the game before I stumbled over this lush and extremely varied OST - and am hooked ever since.
There's some nu metal tracks that are not everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure (I love even those), but the epic level and boss tracks are just great. And so are the more electro dance tracks of the challenge stages. Check it out, can't recommend it enough!
Edit: Just realised the game was released in 2022 already. 🙈 Well okay, it was robbed last year then!
The bad technical performance REALLY put me off when I bought it on eShop back then. I wonder if they ever addressed that issue or they'll just ship it in that bad state again?
"The visual downgrade on the Switch version can be a little hard on the eye" A little hard on the eye? No, just no. It's close to unplayable at times, with the graphics being so blurry that it's really hard to spot loot in the environment. In the snow levels, I couldn't even make out the cursor at times!
Wait... I just wanted to make a comment that the screenshots used in the review don't reflect how the game looks on Switch. And suddenly they're swapped out? Or am I imagining things???
It's the backgrounds/environments that turn me off, unfortunately. They look like every fantasy-game ever, without much steampunkyness going on. Still curious about the game itself, as I'm a big fan of card games, but not sure about putting down 25€ at this moment.
Good list! Happy to see Msytic Quest a.k.a. Final Fantasy Adventure take such a high position. Link's Awakening and Tetris are unsurprisingly at the top spots. Would have expected the fun Motocross Maniacs to rank higher.
Edit: No Kirby's Pinball Land? That's an oversight. Ah, well...
@Noid Q-Billion the worst game? Are you out of your mind? It's rather addictive... once you understand the logic. I guess you gave up before?
To my friends from Europe: In case you're desperately searching for Mystic Quest, because you want to give it credit for being an amazing game, go look for Final Fantasy Adventure (its US name).

Re: Broken Sword - Shadow Of The Templars: Reforged Lands Last-Minute Delay On Switch
Not too sad about it. I mean, I've played the game before... several times. Still looking forward to the crisp new graphics.
Personally, I liked the first one way more than the second one.
Re: Feature: 16 Best Nintendo Switch Soundtracks Of 2023

Expected to hate soccer, but I LOVE it! You all should give it a chance, it's absolutely hilarious. And it has the most depth of all the sports.

Re: Review: Sayonara Wild Hearts - A Marvellous, Music-Driven Masterpiece
"Sayonara Wild Hearts is the video game equivalent of Prince: it’s extremely short and its journey maybe ends a little sooner than you’d hoped"
Nice comparison! How has nobody given this any props yet?

This looks and sounds really nice! I have a weakness for Gameboy-esque esthetics. Great trailer!
