I was just thinking about old Diddy Kong yesterday. This was probably my favourite N64 title.

I would love a sequel but I'd buy an Xbox for a Rare version. Conker, Banjo, viva pinata etc it could be fantastic.

@sandman89 I had the same issue when I started. Just keep practicing, its all about the trigger drift. I can't go back to playing mario kart now though it just feels so dated!

@zoda_fett thanks! I got my fingers crossed really don't want to have to restart breath of the wild.....then again! Maybe losing save data won't be too bad

@alztru thanks for the response. I have restarted a few times. Tried to do a soft reset and factory reset unfortunately it freezes before I can get to that part of the menu

@Kalmaro appreciate the reply. Yeah I have booked in for repair but out of warranty. Figured if anyone else had a similar issue there might be an easy fix. Don't want to lose all them saves 😲

Not related in anyway but wondered if anyone could help. I left my switch battery to drain down for a week and couldn't turn it on. When I finally did it froze. I restarted it and it just refreezes as soon as it's connected to the WiFi. I tried putting on airplane mode and instead of freezing I get an error code. Tried googling but no help it says it's an error connecting to the internet but it's on airplane mode and forces me to restart then repeat same process over and over.

@Spectra Mew is not behind a paywall. It is possible to get one in the mobile version and transfer it across. Free.

I loved the 2 main games. Couldn't understand that negativity.

Still playing and loving Pokemon Go. Its great while walking the dog.

@Johnvlachos I couldnt agree more. I purcashed xbone version and have enjoyed every minute of it. From the load screens to the Rextro arcade, i cant understand all the negativaty. I mean of course games have improved over the years but this is exactly what was promised a 90's 3d platformer, camera angles and all!

I wonder if the cartridges loading quicker comment will be removed.

@gatorboi352 honestly in this day and age most people have a dozen products capable of streaming, i dont think people will buy a switch for its streaming capabilities.
That said anyone whos played with nvidia shield knows the hardware is brilliantly capable of streaming so it is a missed opportunity but again most people will stream on another device like the shield.
Switch is a games console thats all it needs to be. Would have made the console if they had included gamestreaming like nvidias geforce now though.

I honestly cant wait to try this game. As stupid as it looks i think itll be the only game to really show off the joy con. And i miss time crisis style games so quick draw will have to do.

@IceClimbers completely agree with you. Nintendo are attempting to market Switch as a home console first because if it fails and they have to release another handheld to compensate they don't want to be seen doing the same thing they did with wii u. Ie. Abandoning a console 3 years into its life cycle.

I realise it's been out more the 3 years but I assume with development time they gave up on wii u at least 1 year ago and moved all games in development over to switch.

@alasdair91 the wii took around 8 years for that figure so there's still time for ps4 and 3ds yet. I doubt the latter will reach those numbers following switch release but PS4 is still selling very well even with pro and VR shortages.

@kobashi100 He can still play. No smartphone required. It's optional. And I presume he can just talk to his Dad who will be next to him presumably talking to you.

The reason it is a good idea potentially is that you will still be able to use voice chat features when there is no wi fi.

Also even if it doesn't work with blackberry and Microsoft OS nintendo kindly thought about that and realised you could just phone your friends instead.

@Ledgendt I Also Imagine It Reduces The Amount Of Processing Power That Needs To Be Reserved by the operating system possibly increasing the amount of power each game can utilise from the system. I am sure with ps4 and xboner there is a set amount reserved for the operating system. Not sure if it will help the switch keep up with them in any way but I'm sure it will help developers make the most of the system.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE No reason to think all games will be like this. Good chance any other shooters will be less child friendly. If they make it to the console of course.

@iGen Completely agree. It's like they've learnt nothing from Wii U.

It's just one similar to the wii u. I don't know how happy I am to fork out on another potential flop. At the end of the day I have had 4 great years with Wii u and spent more time with it then any other console but I don't see how it's supposed to compete with ps4 pro or scorpion.

I know they are doing something different but at the end of the day it's been called a home console by Nintendo that means it is in direct competition and once again they look as if they are going to be a long way behind.

It will all come down to specs, pricing and third party support. And they need to be more open about what they are doing, people don't like being kept in the dark. This is the age of instagram and Facebook and Twitter. Everybody is sharing everything all the time except Nintendo!

Not entirely sure this is a ground breaking concept. It's a wii u with the features it should have had originally. Specs and price are really going to matter here.

Just want to put my NX prediction in before the big reveal. It's a tablet with game streaming like ge force now or steam. It has two controllers one attached to either side of the tablet. It also connects to the tv with chromecast/screen cast dongle. It takes cartridges like ds for offline play aswell. I don't think it will be 4k but my guess is it'll be perfect 1080. Probably similar to Nvidia shield tablets. I wouldn't be suprised if it supports android either or apple store for downloading apps. Would make sense considering they are making so many. Imagine pokemon go on your new nintendo nx.

@KoopaTheGamer I'm not 100% sure but I don't believe there are any more big name titles still to come on wii u, although I could have missed something. This is very much proof that wii u is dead in the water.

I love my Wii u and it's a real shame it went this way as it is the only console I've had fun playing this generation. I feel as if the games on ps4 and xbox have been unoriginal, uninspired and mostly remakes of previous games. I haven't had fun playing many of them.

Gaming needs something special to bring it back to life if I'm being honest.

Could anybody tell me how to get the Xenoblade download packs as I tried searching e shop and can't find anything. I'm in the UK if it makes a difference.

This is a direct on upcoming releases so I expect nothing su prising. I realise they have unannounced games releasing before Christmas but I imagine they are download only and I'm a little old school with games and prefer physical. Hype at a pretty low level for now but it's always nice to see new footage and I am looking forward to xenoblade.

@DarkKirby if I'm honest I like that Nintendo is child friendly, it means I can play there games when the kids are awake, maybe even let them have a go so long as they don't leave their mucky prints all over the game pad.

Besides in this case I think it's a culture thing rather than blatant censorship.

@skywake I completely agree with you. I see miitomo as more of a tomodachi/animal crossing kind of game. It's something Nintendo have done very well in the past so I wouldn't write it off yet. If they throw in daily quests and street pass updates this could be a hit, a few mini games wouldn't hurt either.

Miitomo could be huge, at least in Japan, although I wouldn't rule out the west. Everybody loves daily quests there addictive, add in levelling up your miitomo and you have a winner.

If they could team up with facebook it would be massive!!!

I didn't know the man but I knew his games, he shared that greatness with the world and for that I am sure he will always be remembered. I hope Nintendo continues to deliver the same qualities in his absence. Good night and God bless Mr Iwata.

After Microsoft and Sony bought their A Game I hoped Nintendo had something up there sleeve but after last year it's clear to me that they have give up on Wii U and are now resting all their hopes on the NX to replace both Wii U and 3DS

@LN3000 Completely agree. I am absolutely loving this game though. The most original shooter in a long time, I love that it's not about the kills as I don't seem to be very good at that part.

@Beechbone Apologies but I have to disagree with you, I am a level 7 and haven't changed weapons yet but I still win regularly with the highest score. I don't think matchmaking is the issue. The balancing of the weapons however is a huge issue. The reason I haven't swapped weapons is that the others seem to be at a huge disadvantage. Of course that is just my opinion

This is the first Generation I have considered ONLY owning a Nintendo console (I don't, I have an Xbone I just don't have any games to play on it because well there aren't any!) the other consoles have so far released nothing of note. Of course Nintendo had the same problem last year so im hopeful for 2015 but the back catalogue and future releases for Wii U have me hyped! I never played on my Wii and after 3 Red Rings I gave up on the 360 so my PS3 got a lot of love but F Sony and F Microsoft until they can supply me with games!

@andreoni79 Thats not a real car its animated, so unless your going to Toon town with Roger and Jessica the only way you could drive it is in mario kart 8. Seriously get over it people its product placement, right now its a good thing for nintendo while the wii u gathers ground. Its not like microsoft and sony who constantly give us unfinished games then throw day1 dlc at us along with adverts on every page of there home screen dashboard.

Everybody complained when Nintendo wasn't advertising, now they're cashing in on one of their biggest franchises with one of the biggest car manufacturers people are still complaining. The car looks perfect next to the already included sports coupe. Come on people its not like they took a mclaren straight out of forza5 and just plonked it in the game because that would have just been silly.

Ive never played dynasty warriors but ninety nine knights on the 360 was great. Looking forwards to this. It looks like there doing a great job.

This is a great chance for Nintendo to get some last minute christmas sales, they just need to show the games people are going to want to play!

Level 3 and level 4 legendaries? If they are real who says they are legendaries? Cant say I like the look of them compared to all the other legendaries over the years.

I really cant see a free trial pushing sales after all if I need to spend £300 on a console to get the free trial is it really free? I can see a bundle with Wii fit u included being quite popular but only if the marketing is there. I think I've seen one advert for the Wii U this year and it was for Sonic Lost World last week.

Nintendo wont sell 100 million this time but I don't think they need to worry too much with all that money in the bank. I believe that it will be as successful as Gamecube and N64 and I think that's enough for Nintendo they never seem to want to be No1 which sounds strange from a business point of view but their quality shines through always has and that will keep them going into the distant future. Wii U is a brilliant console and I definitely prefer it over the Wii because I don't like having motion controls forced on me and Wii U gives me options over controls, where to play and which screen to use and what's not to love about options.

@thesilverbrick You make a good point on that basis she/he is an excellent choice, but imo it still looks out of place where sonic and megaman have a similar artistic style the trainer just looks too serious and mature. I don't mean that the game is immature but its like putting ocarinas link in the wind waker it just doesn't fit.
