The level of clownery from the defenders is laughable. And you're right @LUIGITORNADO I am pretty sure these sites are paid by Nintendo to not say anything bad about their games. Especially if they are bad like in this case.

On the one hand, I want to believe that Nintendo would say no to this. I know Satoru Iwata would have had so much integrity when he was in charge.
But then I remember that Shuntaro Furukawa is in charge now. And he seems to be taking Nintendo into a far less consumer friendly direction. So it's very likely that he would agree with partnering with a company owned by a human rights violating dictatorshi... uh I mean China.

The death threats are abhorrent and should never be allowed no matter how much a company does wrong.
But you can't tell me that GameFreak doesn't deserve its criticism for its total lack of transparency, dishonesty and for being so out of touch.
They seem to refuse to take any blame for their ineptitude and have instead resorted to starting a pity party, expecting the dumbest fans to sympathize with them.
Well it's not working. Make a fully finished product up to Nintendo's true standards and maybe I'll do the same.

@PickledKong64 It's not that I don't like it. I certainly did enjoy playing Undertale. But it is nowhere near as amazing as people say it is.
Plus yeah it kind of overshadowed the game it's based on (which also happens to be my favourite video game and far superior). On the one hand, I'm mad about that. But on the other maybe that's for the best. The last thing I'd want EarthBound being is overhyped and tarnished by its fandom like Undertale is.

So much quality MOTHER merch I never would have got from Nintendo. I'm so glad a place like Fangamer exists to deliver good products from my favourite game series.

That's a really touching interview overall. The MOTHER/EarthBound series sure seems to be known for having interesting development stories too it seems haha!

That's too bad because I don't think any sane person would ever want and Overwatch rep in Super Smash Bros. What would you all rather have as a FPS rep? The Doom Slayer? Who's game revolutionized the FPS genre and to this still is still a major inspiration for games today.

Lootboxes are and always will be a scummy business practise. Don't ignore this just because Nintendo is the one doing it. I'd be even more worried now that Nintendo is trying to do it.

NintendoLife has clearly been paid by Nintendo to not say anything bad about how scummy the game's Pay2win mechanics are. Not to mention, the lootboxes, the fact you need to grind a heck ton if you don't spend money, and how it's offering you an awful paid pass just to get more unlocks.
