If the switch 2 doesn't have backwards compatibility I won't buy it and will solely play on Xbox or PlayStation.

The update is good enough, could have been better for a last major update though. The only paid Dlc being released is basically happy home designer and that's not my thing.

The Wii sold well due to the Wii controller. I remember being really disappointed with Nintendo for not releasing a current gen system like Sony and Microsoft but I'll admit the Wii controller was fun to use in games.

@ATaco exactly. My neighbor got covid-19 and it wasn't serious enough to go to the hospital just normal symptoms. it was the worst two weeks of their lives just the same, definitely not "just the flu" and nothing I or any level headed person would want to go through

@VoidofLight I agree, the game has so much potential too. The only reason I play anymore is to try to get villagers that I want, but the system in place for that is too tedious. Even so, the villager you spend a long time tracking down does nothing much and says the same several lines.

Is this an actual game with a story, towns, things to do etc or are you just capturing pokemon in fields?

@Madder128 I hope it's not what all future Zelda games will be from now on, but if it is I hope Nintendo listens to negative feedback from botw to improve future games.

The character design for this game but it was enjoyable to play. If this wasn't a Nintendo game it would have cost $40, it's just an hd port.

Honestly I'm having a better time with pocket camp at this point, more events, items, clothing, easier and better interaction with friends etc etc. so much potential but not enough to do after setting up your island. My villagers say the same lines and there isn't enough interaction between us, I mean what was the point of me spending so much time getting the ones I wanted. Just how I feel.

The game needs more content badly. There is more to do and get in the mobile AC game because it has micro transactions and there is more in it for Nintendo.

Switch pro yes possibly however I already bought a switch and the game should work correctly on the one I have. I'm not spending hundreds of extra dollars for a switch pro when the switch will probably be replaced by a new system in another two years anyway either.

This game deserves an updatrd remake asap!

I am going to have to find out if mario galaxy works on a switch lite due to no joy cons.

@illmatic20xx yes, nintendo has not been listening to fans about paper mario for about a decade and a half now. I think that's a clear sign to stop hoping.

Since the last good paper Mario game was on the GameCube I absolutely disagree.

I would have liked to vote for n64/DS together, Nintendo had the best writing in their games on those consoles.

I'm sorry but an online membership and code are required just to look at someone's island? I can go on YouTube and other online sites to do that for free and with less hassle.

The Paper Mario 64 and the 1000 year Door were very enjoyable, unfortunately the games Nintendo has released since have not been as engaging or charming.

you can get money back when you sell your physical games which is especially essential when Nintendo games usually don't go down to the low prices of PS4 and Xbox one games. Plus nintendo put a laughable 32gb of storage in the switch so I don't see them putting anywhere near the standard 500gb+ in the digital only switch. That would mean the money I save on the console would be spent on memory cards instead so what's the point?

Nintendos 2 step is terrible which is why I don't use it. They should simply send my phone a text message code for verification like almost every other company does.

I’m certain this is partly due to the high influx of you tubers making videos of things that people could take advantage of. They never played ac in their lives and just cash in on the success of the game until the next big thing comes along and they move on to where the revenue is.

I played the demo and really enjoyed it, a fantastic game. my only complaint is that the English voicework is in the top ten of the worst I’ve ever heard in a game.

This was long overdue.

I had so many eggs and finished recipes by the time Bunny Day arrived that I only used a handful of eggs today to finish up and I will be selling the leftover egg stacks I have. I suppose this event lasted so long for those who are barely playing the game because 12 was overkill to get everything done for people who play on a regular basis.

@johnvboy companies can never earn enough money. The shortage now is most likely due to coronavirus which is understandable.

Jackpot for Nintendo. I’m sure this was all done on purpose to sell more hardware units, it’s not that complicated to tie the saves to each account.

The one island limit was made known ahead of release.

Not a surprise, I can say at least that GameStop has never cared about it’s employees and of course it would be extra apparent now.

I don’t want GameStop to go out of business but they have issues which are their own fault besides digital games. corporate absolutely must stop requiring employees to to bother customers to preorder, pay for a rewards membership, trade in a phone etc people don’t want that nonsense when they go shopping. also don’t charge the “new” price for a game if it’s the last opened display copy, which is what most of their “new” games in stock are which is another issue. Remodel the stores and make the stores look more professional instead of looking like a garage sale shop. I hope Reggie makes some good changes although i honestly can’t understand why he took the job.

I love the mystery dungeon series but being I played this game already I would only buy it if it went down in price.

Is Nintendo still only allowing online subscribers to transfer from one switch to another or can non subscribers transfer now too?

Thank goodness, I can imagine how angry (myself included) consumers were that this was tied to a paid subscription service when of course it should be free.

So if you aren’t subscribed to their pay online service you can’t recover your save if your system dies? If so that is ridiculous and infuriating.

@Project_Dolphin True, Nintendo needs to decide if they want to make a system that is just focused on Nintendo titles and is a family friendly console or if they want to make a system that plays Nintendo titles and all the current titles (shooters and all) that is for all ages. If they choose the former they will not sell as many consoles as Sony and Xbox and that's their choice, they won't be number 1. But lack of third party titles is what is making Nintendo fail, it's the reason the Wii U failed for the most part, if you go to a store the Wii U section is a little area of 90% Nintendo titles 10% third party surrounded by tons of Amiibos, the gimmick they started to make their money back from the failed Wii U.

@Project_Dolphin The Gamecube failed because of Nintendos poor marketing and not enough well rounded third party support. Many people and developers considered it a kid system, which Nintendos marketing didn't do much to disprove, so some mature games weren't ported to it, they went to the PS2 and Xbox. Many people wanted to play shooters which were on the rise during that time period, gta etc, not smash bros. It wasn't that the system had third party support and failed anyway, the third party support and marketing wasn't done right and I wouldn't call the third party support it had to be a high amount either. If you google why the Gamecube failed you will find many articles that basically say what I posted here. I like Nintendo, i want to see them do well but there have been so many times since the n64 that they have made such horrible decisions with their consoles and ruining some of their best titles by "trying something totally new" (paper mario, kirby and the rainbow curse etc) that i felt people who know nothing of business could run this company better.

@Project_Dolphin Can you imagine how well a Nintendo system would do if it could play the new third party titles AND Nintendo titles? You'll see a top release come out for the current and last gen consoles, but not for Wii U, more new games are being released for old gen systems than Wii U. Nintendo has had a horrible history with third party support on it's main consoles since the N64, the Wii should not have been a success, it was the same system Nintendo released years earlier, a gamecube with a motion controller but families and exercise buffs helped it become a success and it's a shame because it made Nintendo think what they did was a great idea.

I just want a normal controller, no motion control gimmicks and no gamepad to have to look down at and distract me from the game. I'd prefer Nintendo to put their money into the console hardware itself so their consoles are not always a pumped up version of the last gen consoles, which also makes it harder to get 3rd party support. Even the 3ds suffers from older graphics because the CPU needs to power the 3d, another gimmick Nintendo added. Call me old fashioned like the many owners of the xbox one and ps4 who are happy with a regular controller if you want. no gimmicks and better hardware please Nintendo.

@MarioPhD exactly I sell my games after playing to get some of my money back. Digital copies should be cheaper than physical releases, big ripoff that's been embraced by many.

Nintendo has a habit of changing what already works great as is and usually it's for the worse. They must know from feedback over the years that people want their paper Mario back but they aren't listening.
