I don’t think the author of the article actually knows the definition of a sandbox game.

@Ryu_Niiyama simply because, like any console, the profit comes from the software, not the hardware. Margins on the hardware are incredibly small.
Selling 6 games at £50 each is way more profitable than selling an OLED Switch at £300 ( even more so if those games are sold digitally).

There’s a great review of it up on YouTube from SwitchUp which details the gameplay etc. well worth a watch as it’s absolutely nothing like Animal Crossing, I’m thinking the developers are just name dropping that title to gain some momentum with it but it looks pretty great in its own right.

Apparently, depending on which other articles you read, they ‘nearly’ did the music for lots of other stuff too! Wishful thinking on their behalf I think.

Unbelievable really that they released it in such a state. A couple more months of bug fixing would’ve made a huge difference.

Imagine waiting to buy the physical edition then this update drops. This is why digital is the way forward.

@eaglebob345 Nintendo uk are a waste of time when it comes to shipping stuff early nowadays. They used to be great. I use Shopto or Amazon these days.

Looks like some garbage mobile game.

It’s basically just greed because they can afford to do it. Nobody needs all that stuff, it’s a waste of money. It’s a reflection of this horrible society that we live in today, bet it’s all over Instagram and the like for the clicks.

It’s merchandise, not ‘merch’. If you want to be taken seriously as a writer then try using the correct English. Believe it or not there are adults on this page also. Not everyone exists in a world of text speak or childish shortened words.

Bright Memory for me. Ignore the review on here and check out the SwitchUp and Switch Corner reviews on YouTube, it looks awesome.

I remember in the Wii U days Nintendo UK themselves shipped Starfox Zero and Captain Toad around 2 weeks before the release date.

@alexwolf sounds like the reviewer played it for about 10 minutes and didn’t like it. It’s a terribly written review.

@BeautyandtheBeer it’s a dire review to be fair, no idea how they came up with a 5….I question wether they played it for any length of time. There’s no justification for the low score in the text. I’ll still be getting it as SwitchUp reviewed it really well, I think they’re pretty much the go to guys for Switch reviews these days.

If anyone wants a more in depth review check out the SwitchUp review on YouTube, the review here doesn’t go into any depth and the content of the review doesn’t justify a score of only 5.
It genuinely looks like a must buy to me.

Bizarrely you missed the best cover art, the Super Famicom version of SF2.

Cardboard packaging and cool instruction books, I miss those days but on the upside at least Nintendo is far more lenient with its censorship these days.
