Yeah respectfully disagree, when it comes to making a menacing villain less is more. Yammering away at a camera and making him less enigmatic would take away that sense of dread when you do see him

Someone has to explain to me how Sony can sell 33000 consoles, but not manage to sell 3500 copies if any single game to enter the top ten.
I understand this doesn't track digital sales, but if I enter a store to pick up a system, you pick up a game with it.

My favourite is the Dusk trilogy, in particular Esca and Logy. The best combat of the series and a great, more sober setting. The mysterious trilogy was a letdown overall for me, too sweet and ditsy.

I'd rather just take out my 3ds.

Surprised at the score, I picked this up day one and saw the credits role yesterday. It's fun, took a second to click.
Haven't had any of the problems it mentions, like bad handheld performance or off screen projectiles, it's also far more visually striking than its inspiration.

Don't know why they use Akira in the Japanese VO but called him Copen in English. Akira is the cooler name imo
Anyway, very excited for this, Copen's games are far better than it's mainline counterpart, Gunvolt

I think the Switch's success is in large part due to the excellent promo work, a far cry from the cringe in the wiiu days

SMT V is a wonderful game, well deserved, and that's not including digital sales either.
What's with PS5? Less than 5000 units is embarrasing...by comparison Switch sold almost 90000.

@abugida Having a handheld only variation doesn't mean it wasn't originally sold as a home console. If Sony release a PS4 portable during the PS4s lifetime, would that invalidate it too?
Comparing it just to other handhelds is a defense mechanism for those who want to wall it off from it's accomplishment

It isn't nonsensical, it's a portable version of what was released as a home console hybrid, priced as a home console.
It's like saying the more powerful PS4 pro can't be included with the PS4 because it isn't the same hardware

@madmaxjp in Japan it sold 130000 units in the first week, and 40000 in the second week, and can't be found anywhere.
Comparitively the PS5, which is alot like the system you want your Switch to be, sold 16000, and that's a good week.
I think Nintendo aren't as stupid as you think

All switch systems combined outsell the PlayStation 5 systems more than 3 to 1
It isn't stock shortages, the PS4 in it's prime did something like this, nothing will change with the ps5 I think

Aria of Sorrow is a better game than Symphony imo, this collection really is worth it for that alone

If there's one Atelier pack you must play, it's the Dusk trilogy, at that price it's a steal, theyre top tier RPGs and my personal favourite atelier games

This article is kind, but this negativity shows how out of touch gaming journalists are at times.
Everyone I spoke to at the time was excited for it, it didn't feel like a failure.
The wiiu was a failure yes, but the 3ds, ds and Wii before it were great successes
They might have exited the home console market, but Nintendo always has dominated the handheld market, they weren't gonna give that up to make games on other consoles

It's straight up embarrassing that Sony couldn't even break the top 30 in their home country, this is less about how well the Switch is doing and more about how irrelevant the PlayStation brand is becoming in Japan

It's got nothing to do with PS5 demand issues, the PS4 at it's peak never hit the heights of the Switch, and neither will PS5.
The console war is over in Japan

I wouldn't call selling 4.45 million units in Q1, far more than any recent console in the last 9 years, a 'slump', it's a very impressive number, so you know, take your fking hat off
