Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"

@meeto_1 I dont see how I personally interjected myself? Seems like projection since you feel like it's a game that teaches sexual abuse and should be removed and then hide behind "muh capitalism" to make others think you support this from a pure business perspective and not an emotional one.

I dont care for PUA stuff, but I can still defend the game by saying it doesnt promote anything illegal, in fact the game actually dissuades and punishes you for acting aggressive or creepy towards women, so I dont see a problem with it, especially since Twitches and YTs strict rules dont think its illegal lol.

Again I have no problem if you hate the game or think the guy is just fleecing money from lonely guys, I'm just saying it's no true to say hes promoting illegal behavior or that his games content crosses some kind of line when far more graphic stuff is allowed to be sold on the platforms it was banned on, including Nintendo which is why I say this is a double standard more than a smart business decision. The game has 0 pornography in it, but steam still has tons of hentai simulators.

Also yes, free market capitalism in theory is where consumer demand dictates the market, mega corporations imposing their standards on a market they have a total monopoly over is corporatism. Google it I guess.

@nessisonett OP said its capitalism when companies dictate what the consumers should buy, by definition thats closer to the part of Fascism where the government centralizes all businesses and dictates the market instead of the consumers.

If I were to give this example a more accurate label, it would be corporatism.

@meeto_1

Dishonest take. First off the game doesn't advocate for "creepy" behavior, in fact it punishes you for it. If basic courtship of women is somehow creepy, then i guess prostitution is moral. I'd like to see some actual proof from within the game where it advocates this instead of just hearsay hyperbole.

Second, nobody is saying you can't criticize the game, you can hate it openly all you want. The only criticism people like you are getting is that you feel the need to be the arbiters of what games are morally acceptable to be on sale or not.

Finally, capitalism is when the consumer demand dictates the market, not when multi billion dollar corporations do, this is closer to fascism which is why people complain about it in the first place. If we already have a rating system, then companies have no reason to be concerned with the content of this game, especially when games like Last Of Us 2 or MK11 are allowed to be on sale, despite depicting way more graphic content.

Re: Nintendo's Future Is Focused On New IP And "Staple Series"

@westman98 Pokemon Snap is a spinoff to an already milked franchise. Stuff like Wario Land, F Zero, Star Fox, and even Metroid at the rate Prime 4 is going are all dormant. The only Metroid fix i have on the Switch is the lousy online services port of Metroid 1 and Super Metroid, were four years into the system and couldn't even get one remake while Pokemon gets two remakes?

Re: Feature: Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Is Secretly One Of The Best Zeldas

Muh-ario

Is it a bad game? Not necessarily, is it one of the best Zeldas? Definitely not.

The DS Zeldas felt like such a regression after the Game boy games content wise and gameplay wise. They're basically just ultra casualized games made to cash in on non Zelda fans with its gimmicky and simplistic control scheme, but in the end it failed to please both the casuals and longtime fans.

Personally I go as far as saying the DS/Wii was a dark age for the series.

Re: Japan Voted On Final Fantasy's Best Games And Characters - Do You Agree With The Ranking?

Pretty lame list tbh, X is probably the most overrated game in the series and I honestly dont know why. The story of the game has some cool concepts and the combat was really good, but that doesnt excuse the dumbed down linearity of the level design, lack of any real challenge, the ugly character design and bland environments, and the cringey dialogue/voice acting. I've had no desire to play it again in the past 18 years since I've played it. This game marked the end of the series for me personally.
