I'd like it if the Temple returns. That probably is it, but I'm thinking it could be also possibly be The Elite 4 stage from Pokemon X and Y. As far as new stages go, I'd love to see one based on Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. A snowy level would be awesome (and with no Ice Climbers, we might not get one). If I can't have that, then they should at least give us Phendrana from Metroid Prime. I'd also like another new Zelda level that's not just Skyloft. Throw us in a famed dungeon like the Forest Temple or Inside the Deku Tree (heck, I'd even take the Temple of Time), or maybe in a great locale like Lake Hylia, the Lost Woods, Clock Town, Kakariko Village (complete w/Graveyard and maybe Dampe is a boss), or the top of Death Mountain and the Great Fairy could appear and heal someone who is over 100% randomly. I could go on forever about level speculation, but I really just want more Zelda levels than anything else. Also, can we please get a yarn level from Kirby's Epic Yarn?
I'm totally getting this, but when are they finally going to release Diancie, Hoopa and Volcanion? I ended up getting a Japanese Diancie in a trade, but I really want Hoopa and Volcanion (I've always dreamed of having a Fire/Water type). It seems weird to wait so long to release these X and Y legendaries when Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are almost out.
does Phoenix Wright have an extra 5th case on the DS? I have the first Phoenix game and I noticed that they didn't include the 5th bonus case when they released the first Ace Attorney on WiiWare. Is this the same situation with Justice for All? Because I never played any of the sequels, but I really wanted to now and now I'm wondering if I should download the WiiWare version or track down the DS version if there's an extra case.
I couldn't give two craps about phantasy star... but then again, I'm not all that into RPGs unless they're action oriented. I hate turn based fighting. Unless its Pokemon for some reason.... Anyway, next week we'll probably get Super Return of the Jedi and that will probably be the only VC game. After that, who knows?
@everyone who seems to think my comment was either out of line or idiotic:
I think I was just venting my frustration as a gaymer that there is very very very little in the way of sex appeal for gay dudes in video games and it's all targeted towards straight guys most of the time. And yet another one pops up - even though if I were straight I would definitely avoid this game, and I'm not saying I would buy it if there actually were hot guys in it. It's just that every video game practically has the lead character paired up with a girl or going to the rescue the girl or something like that. I wanna see a badass video game where you play as a gay man trying to rescue his boyfriend or something. It might sound silly, but I do get a bit tired of always having to play the straight guy. Just sayin'.
The only thing I could possibly think of it being used for would be to gauge your heart rate on Trauma Center if you are the patient, which would be no fun at all. And why would a game need to monitor your heart rate anyway? It's not like they get your adrenaline pumping that fast.... Maybe they want to incorporate it into Wii Fit 2?
I think it's kind of sexist and homophobic that Sexy Poker doesn't have the option to play strip poker with manga dudes instead of manga girls. Straight guys aren't the only ones who play video games! And don't tell me to just go play Cho Aniki because that game is ridiculous.
What happened to Eternity's Child? I was really looking forward to that one. I was also looking forward to Animales de la Muerte... How come all the games I want to play on WiiWare are the ones that never get released?
She looks like one of the sages from twilight princess. I really hope this isn't the art for the new Zelda game, this looks like it'll be a pretty traditional Zelda game, and I was hoping for something a bit.... crazier.
Not bad, not bad.... I've been waiting for Clayfighter for a while.... I just might have to scoop that one up. Idk about Adventure Island, and I really like the old Bubble Bobble on the NES and it's the only one I ever played, so I might just stick with that.
I still play Goldeneye every now and then on my N64. It's actually aged quite nicely and I still consider it the best First Person Shooter ever. Every FPS I've played since has had to live up to Goldeneye's standards, Perfect Dark being the only one that comes close, IMO. There are some great FPS's that have been released since then, and if it wasn't for Goldeneye, I wonder if a lot of them would have happened. But even Halo, Metroid Prime and Resistance: Fall of Man got nothing on James Bond.
I think this is an awesome idea, I have a Wii and a PS3, and I probably play the PS3 about 5 times as much as I play the Wii. If MadWorld was made with HD graphics, that would've been insanely awesome. I know graphics aren't everything and I love the Wii, but Sony does have a lot of great games coming out this year. I'm really not looking forward to anything on the Wii this year that I can think of immediately. Especially since my most anticipated WiiWare title, Animales de la Muerte isn't coming out anymore. I wish the Wii would have implemented HD capabilities when it came out and one of the reasons why I love the PS3 is it's ability to push graphics to new levels of awesomeness. Wipeout HD is so entrancing and that new Sega Genesis collection of games makes me wish I'd never purchased a lot of them on the Virtual Console. Especially because they translated the graphics to HD. The SIXAXIS controller really isn't all that bad with the motion stuff. I liked it in Uncharted, Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction. When I first started using the Wiimotes, I thought, why didn't anyone think of this before? I think this is great news, and if Sony can come out with good software to match it, it could be a great selling point for the PS3 (which already has so many), and maybe hopefully, finally put a nail in the Xbox's coffin.
This game looks kind of lame. The only strategy type game I ever liked was SimCity, and I don't know if that one really counts. At least it's another SNES game though. The SNES and the N64 are sorely lacking in the amount of games posted to the VC. Especially when you take a look at all the sh'mups on the Turbografx, all the crap games on the NES (although the NES does have a lot of good ones), and all the stuff on the Genesis. I honestly don't care really about Neo-Geo, Commodore 64 or Virtual Console Arcade. I feel like they're just there so Nintendo can wait forever to release games by doing one per week now. Maybe they feel a bit too busy with WiiWare and DSiWare and now they're not really trying that hard to get licenses for games. Speaking of licenses, why is the only licensed game on the VC, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES? Not that I don't appreciate seeing it there, I would just like to see more licensed games, like Aladdin and The Lion King or even Spider-Man 64.
Smash Bros. 64 was awesome back in the day, but playing it now feels so slow and the controls are definitely not as tight as Melee and Brawl. I've been playing Smash Bros. 64 at a friends house because they don't have a Wii, and they don't like the new Smash Bros. because it's too fast for them. But I lose all the time because it's so slow and I keep trying to pull moves that are in Melee and Brawl and I forget that they're there. So if it comes out on VC, I'm not entirely sure that I'll download it.
I never even knew about the Adventure Island games until the Virtual Console. If I was a fan of them back when I was a kid, I would be way more excited about this announcement. Although, I do like the idea of rebuffing old franchises or at least bringing them back into the spotlight, like Mega Man 9, Gradius Rebirth, and whatever that R-Type game is they came out with. Not that they're all good or anything, but I think they should continue the trend, and maybe come out with revamped hard-hitters like Castlevania, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Sonic the Hedgehog or even something that's been dead for a long time like Earthworm Jim or Vectorman.
This is going to be the first game I've downloaded in a while... probably since World of Goo or Boogerman. I've never played a C64 game, so I'm not sure if I'll get one of those as well, or if I'll just wait for something else. I suppose I could always try out Toki Tori.
I really want to play this game, but the cartridge costs like 80 - 100 bucks now in a used game store. This really is encouraging illegal downloading of the game. Especially since the VC's been re-hyping this one like crazy. How long have people been anticipating Earthbound? I mean, they didn't even put a sample of it in Smash Bros. Brawl, opting to instead put only games that were already available on the VC. I cry shenanigans on NOA. The music? really? that's the reason????? What the frak.
Great, now we'll be hit with another system that I don't care about, while much-desired N64 and SNES classics are going to be lost by the wayside or postponed until forever.
I guess it's good to have another racer... but where the F is High Voltage's Animales de la Muerte.... weren't we supposed to get that back in October 2008? I wanna play THAT game.
I played all of those except for Toki Tori.... I still haven't beat Mega Man 9 or Art Style: Orbient though. World of Goo kicks ass and so does LostWinds.

I'll get back to you on whether or not it stands the test of time, but I'm betting it will since Earthworm Jim 2 is still fun to play. Oh and I have a question for the people at vc-reviews.com... Both you and ign.com mentioned in your reviews of this game that it had a number of sequels. As far as I knew there was only Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 and they were both available on the SNES and the Genesis. If there were a number of sequels how many were there? I don't remember ever hearing of or playing an Earthworm Jim 3 or 4. What system was it for? Dreamcast? Xbox? N64? 'eh? I want some answers!

Shadows of the Empire fo sho! Also, I never got to play the Indiana Jones game on the 64 so I would love to check that out.

Re: Review: Big Kahuna Party (WiiWare)
This does seem like a decent puzzle game. However, I am getting really sick and tired of the overwhelming flood of puzzle games. Every week I feel like I can always count on the release of a puzzle game.
Here is the current ratio of games on WiiWare:
Action - 5 Games
Adventure - 1 Game
Arcade - 2 Games
Board Games - 0 Games
Creative - 0 Games
Driving - 0 Games
Education - 0 Games
Fighting- 0 Games
Import - 0 Games

Racing - 1 Game
Relaxation - 1 Game
RPG - 1 Game
Shooter - 4 Games
Simulation - 3 Games
Sports - 7 Games
Strategy - 0 Games
Puzzle - 21 Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other - 11 Games - Pit Crew Panic, Strong Bad Series, Art Style Series, My Pokemon Ranch, TV Show King and VIP Casino: Blackjack.

I totally had this on the Sega Game Gear in elementary school! There's no way I could forget those levels and the sound effects and everything. This was a pretty tough Sonic game.
