You know, it would be nice to see them try something mature. And by "mature" I don't mind boobs, blood, big muscular space marines.
Whenever Nintendo tries to do mature, they usually succeed (Twilight Princess is the best selling Zelda title, Majora's Mask often being considered the best Zelda game by fans, Metroid as a whole since Super [sans that one game that doesn't exist], especially the Prime series, F-Zero GX...)

The kiddy artsy thing you're doing with Zelda is alright and all, but...as evidenced by the reaction to the E3 2014 video, most people would've prefered a realistic game. Not the fourth cell-shaded game in a row.

They're not complaining about the art style, gameplay, and the fact that it's the only Metroid game we've had in almost a decade. Or the fact that it's a damn unnecessary spin-off.

Reasons I dislike this game:
-It's a metroid game in name only. It has nothing to do with Metroid, not even the art style or naming conventions (?) are similar (the ice monster thing is called...ice beast... ... ...while other species in the series have names such as Chozo, Tatori, Etecoon, and of course, Metroid).
-It's an spin-off. I'm sick and TIRED of Nintendo spin-offs, it's the reason so many people are tired of Mario already. Why do that to Zelda, Metroid and Animal Crossing?
-It's not a Wii U game. Not only does the game look worse than freaking Hunters, it's a multiplayer-focused game. Why not make it a console game?
-It's not a new IP. Would anyone really be mad if this game didn't carry the Metroid name? No.
Think of it this way: When Codename S.T.E.A.M. was announced, most people didn't really care about it. They thought the art style looked ugly so they decided not to buy it.
...Now imagine if that game was the new Advanced Wars.

@TheLobster Uh...the whole nintendo partnership program or whatever is a huge misunderstanding, if that's what you're referring to. One of the youtubers against it (I think it was ZackScottGaming or something?) started posting Nintendo videos again a few months ago, after not having posted anything in weeks.

The Peach one I love, the Samus one I like but it sort of defeats the purpose of the zero suit (does that guy even know his Metroid), the great fairy is just a head and the Chun-Li one is SJW parfait.
