Re: Potential Massacre Averted At Pokémon World Championships

@HollywoodHogan umm.... Australia had as many guns per person when the Port Arthur massacre happened. They were banned straight after and not a single massacre since. When there is a precedent like that already set there really is no argument. The rest of the world is watching America in bemusement.

Re: Review: Mario Kart DS (Wii U eShop / DS)

This was the perfect introduction to the DS for me. I must have played the single player mode for a thousand hours - I never touched the multiplayer. This may be my favourite Mariokart ever (it's still the best handheld Mariokart ever), though it hasn't aged extremely well.

We had a Sega Master System growing up and I grew to love it but the first system I ever owned, all to myself, was the Origanal Gameboy with Baseball; it was love at first sight and I've never looked back. Yoshi's Island, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Metal Gera Solid... so many great console games have defined who I am and yet, handhelds have always been the systems that really make me happy beyond compare.

Mariokart 8 for Wii U because what, 7 (?) months later I'm still playing it regularly. It really has captivated me longest. Plus, even my PS4/Xbox1 playing mates can't get over how gorgeous it is. 2nd is DKC: Tropical Freeze. It may have overtaken DKC2 as the best in series, it really is brilliant. People seemed to forget it pretty quickly but I think it's an underrated, supurb gem. 3rd would likely go to Bayenetta 2 but I haven't played it yet. It looks stunning and huge! Instead I'd give it to Smash - What a year it's been for Wii U if I'd consider leaving Smash off a top 3 list!
