@P-Gamer-C ...Yea that's what I just said. To reiterate, I worry that the Wii U is struggling to attract 3rd party support but I'm not going to lose sleep about most EA games.

Always disappointed when Nintendo struggles to attract 3rd party support like this as it usually a sign that things aren't great. But, really, I couldn't care less about the majority of EA's output.

@Monkeyofthefunk your speaking for everyone when you say 'we all know that the Wii U will finish a close third'. I just disagree. I agree that it probably doesn't have the mass appeal that the Wii had, but it still has Mario etc and it is still a heck of a lot cheaper than the PS4 and Xbox one will be. (Which is extremely important) Plus I really don't know too many people planning on getting the new Xbox, I personally think Microsoft is in some real trouble here. Every generation I get the Nintendo console (I am a Nintendo fan first and foremost) and then I get one other. A year in to having a GameCube I got a PS2, a year and a half into owning a Wii I got an Xbox 360. This generation, without even seeing the new consoles or there lineups, I can almost certainly say I will be getting a PS4. I think that's going to be the case for many people here.

@Monkeyofthefunk who says Wii U will be a close third? I think it will more likely be second but could possibly even finish first. Certainly not a definite third.

Great to hear It may lack games right now, but Wii U is a great console and I'm having a blast with it!

Well all I can say is, very glad this has sold well. It's not as often as it should be that a great game like this sells well.

Yea I've had my Wii U a week now and Miiverse is totally unexpectedly awesome!

I don't need updates on the Wii U's struggles everyday thanks Nintendolife! Let me know how it's doing in 6 months. (I'm going to guess a lot better)

@Marshi I love it! I thing it's a wonderful machine and maybe my favourite console ever one day. But, yes, it needs games!

Really the only thing that is letting it down is Virtual Console, pure and simple.

Just bought it! Can't wait to try it out!

HUGE week! Can't wait I have my new shiny Wii U finally so heaps to download for me! Super Metroid duh, plus Runner 2 (which I've been dying to play. Megaman 5 is the last of the series I haven't played, but that might take a week to get to haha

When New Super Mario Bros 2 came out it was $80 at it's cheapest here in NZ, I changed my location to Spain, downloaded it off there server and it cost me $60! There really is nothing to gain from buying or downloading locally. Even our club Nintendo rewards are garbage.

@RetroGBHippie92 that's the thing, I download all my stuff on the Europe server from here in New Zealand. But then, the numbers show that no one in NZ and Aus are downloading developers games because of it. We really need to get games when everyone else does.

This movie is almost so bad it's good. Almost.

I think they just mustn't have had time to make a version that incorporates the second screen like they would have wanted. Lets face it, the touch screen pad is perfect for making plays and organising player positions etc but it would seem lazy if it wasn't applied well. Next year ill bet we get the best version on Wii U!

Dick Smith in New Zealand slashed the prices from 450 to 300 needless to say I got one! So excited for its arrival in the mail!!! See, price cuts do work

I love the 3D effect and I don't think it gets enough praise. I'll be very sad if Nintendos next handheld doesn't have it.

There was a lot of talk last year about E3 no longer being relevant and I think that this is the beginning of that realisation. Nintendos conference was just so boring and disappointing because they targeted it at the shareholders not the fans. As disappointing as this is, (E3 is like Christmas to me) it makes sense.

I think you guys nailed this list except for the placement of Super Metriod. Maybe swap it with Mariokart and the list would be perfect. Anyway glad to see Yoshis Island and DKC2 make it so high I love those games

@Captain_Balko I think it's fantastic. It's reasonably hard but because it has some very simple rules it is never cheap.

Cool, wasn't on my radar at all but it is now!

I'll wait and see on this one. I just don't think the series lends itself to portable gaming as well as console gaming is all.
