I looked up Canada pricing..... $630+tax so like $715 without a game. Look up the price of games $128+tax so $145.....

.......$860 for the console and 1 game all in. That is insanity, Nintendo may as well just pull out of the Canadian market at those prices.

Can't wait to play this remake I was late to the original due to being from Europe, we never got it untill Wii virtual console. Funnily enough it's actually the inspiration(And also sonic 3D) for the latest game I'm working on!

@mattitudemf so here's the really funny thing though with the word British - the Scots, the English, the Welsh and the Irish are all technically just as "British" as each other. Because Britain actually refers to the 2 land masses (the British isles) that make up the UK and Ireland.

England, Scotland, Wales = "Great Britain" (just the one big island)

England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland = "United Kingdom" (countries under administrative control of the crown)

England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland & republic of Ireland = "The British isles" (both of the islands)

I find when most North Americans say "British" they actually mean "English".

But I understand that none of this info about 2 tiny islands is even remotely important to people who live on the otherside of the planet. I knew basically nothing of the cultural intricacies of North America outside Hollywood movies before I moved here 😅

@mattitudemf he's saying he gets frustrated that North Americans in general think of the UK as a collection of 4 "states" when in fact they are actually individual countries in a union together so it's like saying "European accent" rather than German or Italian. The Scots are very protective of there country, probably because the English have consistently tried to purge and erase their entire culture and language over the centuries. So you know he's passionate about defending Scotland - maybe abit too much on a gaming website but you know 🤷

@Clyde_Radcliffe 100%, American voices in Japanese games that have been "localised" is a pet peeve of mine. I really wish they would cast British voice actors for the UK release!

@coversnail you are my absolute hero! I watched a YouTube vid and the memory's just came flooding back! Literally spent a quarter of a century trying to figure out what game this was! All my Amiga games were bootleg rips my uncle copied from the video game store he worked at. So they were all blank floppys with no box art etc.

I had an Amiga 500 demo disk with a game on it where you could use the toilet. If you did it would cut to a scene of a volcano? I think? 🤔 that would then have poo fly out of the top of it with accompanying fart noises.... Thought it was absolutely hilarious as a kid. Never been able to find out what it was called or who made it though.

@Wilforce exactly I was so hyped for some online shoot outs like in the 360 days. Then found out it has no online multiplayer and swiftly lost interest.

It's really bizarre they have removed the online multiplayer? That was literally the best part of Red Dead Redemption on 360. If they add the multiplayer back in then I'd buy it, but as it is it's a no from me.

I was ready and willing to pay $80ca for it if it had featured online multiplayer like in the 360 days. At the moment I'll probably just give it a miss I think.

Loved this game on the 360 can't wait to play it online on the switch!

@JohnnyMind thank you so much! Hopefully you will get some time soon! It's not a massive game so will only take about an hour for some one familia with NES style platformers to whiz through to the end - although each level has multiple paths and secrets that you can go find for replay value.

@B_Lindz unfortunately not, the only other version I have is an android version, but it has less content and has more of a Game Gear feel to it than NES. It's on the play store as "Super Dinoblasters GG"

I'm a massive samba Di amigo fan since I first played it in Sega Park! But that new "roadman" outfit they put him in is really putting me off 😕
Let's hope the classic outfit is still an option in the game.

Cold, Wet, Dark Winter nights playing 2D mario and sonic, the end of this year is going to be awesome!

Would have loved a mania 2, Sega could have given the team free reign over the entire game to see what innovative gameplay / levels they could have come up with.

@JohnnyMind Beeny is deceptively addictive, it has that "oh just one more go" type gameplay going on.

Kiwi 64 and Toree are great and all but don't forget to show some love for Beeny too, it's a great game and acts as a prequel for Kiwi 64!

This and super mario wonder are my most anticipated games of 2023!

@TheSovryn I think most people's reasoning for wanting physical is so in 20 years time when their switch dies and the online stores are shut down. They can simply get a 2nd hand switch and still play all there games simply by clicking the cartridge in. I did this with my N64 the console gave up the ghost but I still had all my games! 😄
