@Clarice Oh, that makes much more sense. Sorry for not realizing you meant hookup for Ninjala. Usually, hookup is used for dating (or other things), so I'm assumed you meant hookup in the dating sort of sense.
I'm VERY, very, sorry for the really, really, really, late responses, guys.
@Snatcher Yeah, for sure. I think Ninjala just gets a bad rep because of the fact that itβs free to play.
@Clarice Okay, thanks for letting me know. No, I'm not looking to hook up at all. You might want to be careful when asking that question on here in the future, as you'll probably not get a nice response from someone else on here, since this is a Nintendo site, and not a dating site. Just wanted to let you know.
Something that confuses me in the article is the fact that Gung-Ho said that Ninjala has "a lot of drive from Nintendo", when I feel that Nintendo is supporting Knockout City more currently, than they were of Ninjala a year ago, unless I'm missing something, that is.
I do hope that Ninjala eventually gets released on other platforms, as I feel that it would definitely rise in popularity if that happened. I hope that Ninjala becomes as popular as Splatoon, although not as popular as Fortnite or Among Us, because quite a lot of people would start to hate on it.
@Liam_Doolan
THANK YOU for writing this article, I really appreciate it. I hope you guys continue to write Ninjala articles for the foreseeable future.
I just have one small request, when you guys write Ninjala articles in the future, could you guys please add the Ninjala tag to each article? I've noticed that the Ninjala tag is hit and miss on the articles, and I think it might give it a bit more exposure (and comments) to Ninjala articles on here if you guys added the Ninjala tag more consistently, if that makes sense. If you guys, aren't able to, it's fine, I just think it would boost the Ninjala articles a bit.
@Snatcher
If Ninjala ever has a multi-platform release, and it got cross-play, I don't think the Switch version would get behind, as it already runs on Unreal Engine 4 @60fps, and I believe the resolution is between 720p to 1080p, which has never really been done on Switch before with UE4 AFAIK, especially with a game that has such an online focus.
@ModdedInkling
I think it's because Splatoon would (most likely) be a harder game to replicate than Smash, as Splatoon is "Full 3D" while Smash is 2.5D, it's also probably because Splatoon is majority online-focused, while Smash has quite a few offline modes, while having online as an option, and I feel like more people would be hesitant with a Splatoon clone than a Smash clone, for some reason. I hope I'm making (at least) some sense.
Also, do you play Ninjala by any chance? π€
@Clarice, @Ganner
I also found that part confusing as well, but maybe Nintendo's giving more support behind the scenes than publicly, for some odd reason.
Also, do you guys play Ninjala by any chance? π€
@Liam_Doolan Thank you for updating the article when the collab started; I really appreciate it. I (somehow) forgot to thank you once you updated the article in my initial comment after the article was updated.
Sorry for the late response, I've just been busy recently.
@blockfight Okay, I was just curious. I do feel like the gameplay was more rough at launch than it is now. I would recommend giving it another shot, as I feel it definitely has improved since launch, and this coming from someone who has played pretty consistently since launch.
I'm surprised by the positive reception regarding Doctor Mario World, since I thought that people liked it the least, outside of Mario Kart Tour.
Anyways, this is even more confirmation that we are entering the Shuntaro Furukawa era, and leaving the Tatsumi Kimishima era behind. I say that because I feel this game was mostly made while Tatsumi Kimishima was president, and while Shuntaro Furukawa was still in the process of changing things at Nintendo, to make it run the way that he wants to run Nintendo.
This also shows more confirmation that Nintendo is seriously considering leaving the mobile industry, or at least stop making new mobile games. I'm saying this because it seemed like new mobile games stopped being released after Mario Kart Tour was released, so it seemed like Nintendo (& Shuntaro Furukawa) were trying to figure out what to do next with mobile.
I know they have the AR Mobile games releasing in the future, but I feel like it's a last-ditch effort on Nintendo's part to really get into mobile, if that makes sense. If the AR Mobile games aren't successful enough, I believe that Nintendo will definitely consider pulling out of the mobile market for a while (or possibly for good).
@blockfight Sorry to hear that you weren't able to get into Ninjala.
If you don't mind me asking, what made you not enjoy Ninjala as much? π€
@dew12333 No, I don't work for Gung-Ho nor am I an ambassador for them (or Ninjala), although that would be really cool though.
I just really like Ninjala, and I want to do well, but I feel like enough people aren't giving it enough credit, and so I make comments to kindly encourage people to try it who are on the fence about it, and thanking the Nintendo Life staff for writing these articles, so that people will continue to know how Ninjala has continued to improve.
I waited to respond to see if anyone else would respond, but it looks like you're the only one who did.
Thanks for responding back, I really appreciate it.
I think the Switch "Pro" is still a thing, although it will be more like a New 3DS revision than a PS4 Pro revision, IMO.
The reason I say that is because Nintendo has followed the exact pattern of revisions with the Switch that the 3DS went through.
OG Switch = 3DS
Switch Lite = 2DS
OLED Switch = 3DS XL
Switch Pro (or just the next Switch revision) = New 3DS
So, if Nintendo follows this exact same pattern with the Switch, the next Switch revision will probably have a little bit more power, emphasis on the little bit.
It's crazy to think that it's been over a year has passed since Ninjala was released. I hope Ninjala continues to improve and grow more and stronger with every passing day, week, and month.
When they said they had a big collab coming up, I wasn't expecting this to be the collab at all. I was hoping it was Splatoon, but I would say that this is an even bigger collab.
Whoever is in charge of the Collab/Marketing area on the Ninjala team (or Gung-Ho) in general, they should get a huge raise, because the collabs they've done so far are really cool, and they've also 2 really well-timed collabs (MH: Rise, and this collab)
Sorry for the late responses guys, I've just been busy recently.
@Liam_Doolan
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS ARTICLE. I REALLY appreciate it. (Sorry for the All Caps, I'm just really happy that this article was written. I wasn't sure if this was going to be written about, and when I saw that it was, it made my day (as odd as that may sound). I hope you guys continue writing Ninjala articles for as long as Ninjala is a thing.
@Nintendo4Sonic
Yes, I am still playing Ninjala. I think it's really fun, although I'm one of the few people who seem to think that on Nintendo Life. Sorry to hear that you weren't able to enjoy it.
In case you're wondering, your initial response came off as really strong. I know you're not trying to come off as a troll, but you have to be really careful when expressing an opinion that you feel strongly about, to make sure that it doesn't come across as sharp or trolling. I know this because this is something I also struggle with as well. While I have gotten better at not coming across as sharp or really rude, it's something I'm still working on currently.
I hope you have a great day, and a really good weekend as well.
@MetalToad
Yeah, I'm glad it's doing well also. If you don't mind me asking, do you happen to play Ninjala?
@adammmmmm
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to enjoy Ninjala like you wanted to.
If you don't mind me asking, what do you think made Ninjala not fun for you?
@JR150
Yeah, I am also. I do wish it was more known (and liked) like Splatoon though. I mean, if you only use Nintendo Life as the only area for Ninjala stuff, you'd thought the game was dead, because of how little people talk about it on here, (outside of these articles, that is).
Let's just hope Ninjala continues to grow stronger for many years to come. The thing is, as much as it would be awesome for the Ninjala kids to make it into Smash. I believe the fighters were already chosen while Ninjala was being developed. I know Ninjala got delayed by a whole year, but I still feel it won't happen. I know that ARMS and XC 2 characters made into Smash, but those were already pushing it as is, even with the 1st Fighter Pass, and those are both Nintendo series, while Ninjala isn't.
@boxyguy
It's indeed crazy. Like I told JR150, I just wish that Ninjala was more into the spotlight. I just hope that more and more people start playing Ninjala more, so that it can continue to grow and have updates.
@Slowdive
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Iβm a little confused, I thought that TLS was an upgraded version of SSL.
IIRC, I also thought that was some sort of movement to get SSL (or another encryption method) replaced with a more secure encryption method.
Maybe it has to do with the rumored Switch Online revamp, and they might be testing what works and doesnβt work before they completely redo the Online infrastructure. π€
@Slowdive If you donβt mind me asking, what exactly is TLS 1.3 and what it does? π€ Iβve heard of it since this update, but have no idea what it is. π€
YAY! Ninjala finally got to 7 Million downloads. I was thinking that it was going to hit the milestone sooner rather than later. I hope it can get to 8 Million in the next few months. I hope Ninjala reaches 10 Million eventually.
@ryancraddock
THANK YOU for writing this article, I really appreciate it. I know that you guys are pretty consistent with the additional million downloads articles for NInjala, but I just wanted to encourage you guys to continue writing Ninjala articles.
@Kimyonaakuma
I'm one of those people, and I'm also not hiding, I've just been busy recently. There's a few people on here in the Ninjala Gang, but I don't know where they are currently.
@sikthvash
I would recommend trying it out, although I'm one of the few people on here who actually likes it.
@Ghost_of_Hasashi, @Jake_qwerp
I actually feel the opposite way about Ninjala and Splatoon 2, for some reason.
@NintendoCopium
I still go on Ninjala when I can, and I'm not a bot. π€ π
@ModdedInkling
I'm hoping that it happens as well. I mean, IIRC, I believe it was the Gung-Ho CEO who said that he would love to do a crossover with Splatoon someday, so I think it could very possibly happen. (I mean it could happen as soon as next year with Splatoon 3 launching then).
@JR150
I'm really happy to see this as well. What concerns that the rate of a million more players downloading Ninjala has been slowing down. Like you said it was 4 months ago, that Ninjala had 6 Million downloads. The gap for every additional million downloads has increased by a month, since around the 3-4 million player mark.
@Guyokai
I still play when I get the chance to (or when I'm in the mood for it).
Sorry for the late responses guys, I've just been pretty busy recently.
@JaxonH I'm glad you think it's an awesome collab. I was even thinking, "I'm kind of surprised that JaxonH hasn't responded to this yet", so that's why I tagged you. I mean it has a separate Story Mode, it's $10 per Chapter, but they have had a sale on them a few times, so I'm sure they will have it on sale again sometime in the (somewhat) near future.
@dartmonkey Okay, thanks for letting me know. That would probably explain why there was a bit of a Ninjala article drought on NintendoLife even though there were articles on other websites and the official Ninjala website. I hope you guys keep on writing Ninjala articles, even if it isn't very popular with the users on here. I hope I'm not being too blunt, or rude.
@TimeVolt Okay, thanks for letting me know. Yeah, I haven't used the gacha feature either. It definitely is the smartest collab that they have ever done. I believe that you can also find the gacha rates in the Gumball Machine area in Ninjala. I think you just have to go to either the "Info" or "Details" part of the Gumball Machine you want to use.
@JaneBear Usually, the Nintendo Life community is pretty civil and respectful. However, whenever Illumination gets brought up, whether itβs talking about the Mario Movie, or this article, people seem to lose their stuff, and I honestly donβt know why. I have seen some of Illuminationβs films, and I think that theyβre good. I mean, theyβre not Disney or Pixar quality, but theyβre still good, though. Iβm surprised that people havenβt hated more on Sony Pictures Animation, because of the fact that they made what people consider one of the worst, if not the worst, animated movie in quite some time, itβs TE Movie in case youβre wondering. (TBF though, they then turned around a year and a half later, and made what people consider one of the best, if not the best, animated movie in quite some time, which is Into the Spiderverse.)
@AlexSora89 Furukawa has been in for almost 3 years at this point, now more time than Tatsumi Kimishima. Usually, it takes a new CEO at least a year (sometimes 2 years) to even start implementing what they want to do with the company. Think about this, why do you think itβs been more than a year and a half since the last mobile game released, and the fact that we just in the last couple of months got a new mobile game announcement. I believe itβs because Furukawa realized that they could be doing mobile better. Also, games take (at least) a couple years to develop, so I believe that most of the games on the Switch were started by Tatsumi Kimishima, even though Furukawa has been the CEO for a while now. I also believe itβs why weβre just now hearing that Nintendo is reportedly upgrading their Switch Online infrastructure, because things like that take time, and it seems like Furukawa is getting to the point where itβs becoming more of his reign of Nintendo, rather than a Tatsumi Kimishima/Furukawa reign, if that makes sense. I hope this helps you to understand the transfer of power and the reign between a new and a old CEO better.
@GetontheStiix No, not at all. If this collab (or any other collab, LTM, or anything else special that Ninjala does) gets you back into Ninjala, thatβs awesome. I hope other people have the same reaction that you do, regarding this collab. π€
I wonder what @TimeVolt and @JaxonH think of this collab. π€
Hey @dartmonkey, do you or anyone else @NintendoLife play Ninjala a lot, or are really into it? Sorry to bug you by tagging you again, but this a question that Iβve had for a while now. π€
This is probably the smartest collab that Ninjala has done to date. I mean you take a game has been super successful and sold millions at this point, and then put it in your own game.
First, it was having the Rocket League-esque mode as a Featured Battle, and now this. π€
If they continue to do stuff like this, Ninjala will start to become known in the gaming community.
@dartmonkey
THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this article, I really appreciate it. You even updated it to let people know that itβs available. I know you guys usually do that, but I havenβt seen that done with Ninjala that often if at all.
@EmmatheBest They kind of fixed it in Season 3 to where if you buy the Ninjala Pass, then the cosmetics won't be consumed for that season. I believe I've replied to you before in the past, but I never got a response back.
@GetontheStiix Okay, thanks for letting me know. Sorry to hear that you couldn't get into it, especially since you wanted to like it. I would that the matchmaking has gotten better than it was at launch. I hope that you're able to get into it at some point. π€
@JuiceMan_V I thought there was a report a while ago saying that there was going to be a major shake-up regarding either Gamestop's top management or board of directors soon. π€
@rjejr
Sorry for the very, very late reply. I've just been busy recently.
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to enjoy the Balan Wonderworld demo. I've tried the demo a little bit of it, and I liked it. I'm definitely going to try it again.
Your wife thought it was a PS1 Game?! Yikes, that's a super oof.
At least you enjoyed the Immortals Fenyx Rising demo. π€
@Goat_FromBOTW Sorry for the very, very, very late reply, I've just been really busy recently. Anyways, I figured that's what the Dark Age was, but thanks for letting me know anyways, though. That's an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad you enjoy those Sonic games. (Just don't tell the rest of the Sonic fanbase because 95% of them will probably disagree with you). π€ That story sounds like an interesting concept and would really cool if it actually happened.
@westman98
Yeah, Balan Wonderworld really needs a delay. As soon as I realized that Balan Wonderworld and MH Rise shared the same release date, I thought that Balan should be delayed to avoid competition with MH Rise. I especially think it should be delayed since the demo showed it still needs work. I hope Square Enix isn't sending Balan Wonderworld out to die. π€
People have been making comments on their Twitter account but they're not responding. I believe that the Balan fans are going to have to do more to get Square Enix's attention. We're going to have to go on every Square Enix Twitter account and (respectfully) ask those accounts to delay Balan Wonderworld until they delay it, since they're not responding to the replies on the Balan account. π€
This is really cool and it sounds really good as well. I knew that N64 audio was compressed, but I didn't realize that Super NES audio was compressed. π€ Speaking of data mining, I'm surprised that no data miners have tried to datamine the Balan Wonderworld demo to try and figure out what's going on in the demo. π€
If previous Sonic VA's return, I actually would want the Sonic X VA's to return, as they had to voice the Sonic characters during the most controversial era of Sonic (2005 - 2010). I just believe they should be given a second chance/redemption on their Sonic acting. (I know that the writers were the ones, along with Sega's weird decisions during that time, that caused Sonic to not be good during that timeframe, but I wouldn't want to be the VA for the "worst" era of Sonic and I don't believe those VA's do either). Also, since the Sonic Adventure VA has asked to return, I want runblebee to ask and see if he can return. He was the Mario & Sonic announcer from 2010 to Sochi 2014 Olympics, and I think he did some other Sonic stuff.
@rjejr
Glad I could help you out.
That's true, while I do prefer games running @ 60fps, I don't mind they're @ 30fps, as long as the 30fps is stable. I saw a comparison of the Balan Wonderworld demos, and I feel like the Switch version needs more optimization, and the other versions could have a couple of things changed. (I haven't played the demo yet, so we'll see if what I think changes). π€
@Goat_FromBOTW
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
I would say that I also prefer 3D Sonic as well. I haven't played either of the Sonic Adventure games, so let's hope that they get a re-release for Sonic's 30th anniversary. π€
What exactly do you mean by Sonic's "dark age"? I believe you mean Sonic games like Sonic 06, Shadow, Sonic Unleashed, the Sonic Story games, etc. as Sonic's "dark age", but I still want to verify. π€
Yeah, I heard Sonic Forces wasn't that good. There are a lot of videos of that, but what you want Sonic to go back to seems to be different than most of the Sonic fans, so I would say make the video. So, you're saying you want the Sonic games to go to back more of the style of the Adventure series, correct? π€
Oh okay, that makes sense with Rogers voice being associated with a decade of mediocrity. We'll have to wait and see what happens for Sonic's 30th. Haha, yeah Mike Pollock is a legend (and so is the guy who voiced Eggman/Robotnik in the AOSOH TV show). π€
@rjejr IIRC, I believe demos (and games) are listed by "Most Popular" and you have to change the filter to "Release Date (newest to oldest)" for them to be in release date order. I hope this helps. π€ I mean, I feel like both demos will definitely be better on PS4, but the question is by how much better will they be. π€
I don't believe this means that Sega is about to be bought out.
Sega sold 85% of Sega Entertainment back in early November, so it doesn't surprise me that they're splitting up the divisions. I wouldn't be surprised if the entire Sega Entertainment (arcade side) division gets dissolved by the end of the year, if the arcades continue to do as bad as they are. π€
The "acceleration of global business development by streamlining [SEGA Sammyβs] structure" also doesn't surprise me because Sega said a while ago that they were trying to have simultaneous worldwide releases, so this move was probably done to do just that. π€
The fact that they say that they've been working on it for a while completes disproves it being a Star Fox Zero Switch port, as PlatinumGames said back in August that they hadn't been contacted by Nintendo regarding bringing Star Fox Zero to Switch, and I doubt that's changed since then. π€π
@Grumblevolcano
I can't tell if you're being serious or not. π€
I can see Zero happening on Switch, but not Guard as it definitely used the Gamepad to the fullest. π€
@Goat_FromBOTW
We'll have to see, but it lines up with previous times that the Sonic series has been taken into a new direction.
If you don't mind me asking, do you not like the direction Sonic is going currently? π€
Very sad to see Roger Craig Smith go. π
I hope the next Sonic VA sounds similar to him, and that he has success with whatever he's doing next.
@Eddyson, @Goat_FromBOTW, @Ultrasmiles, @OstianOwl, @EmmatheBest, @Bobb, @mr-duster
Here's why I think Roger Craig Smith "stepped down" as Sonic:
The last time they got rid of the Sonic VA (and the rest of the VA's for the Sonic series), Sega was starting to take a different approach for the Sonic series, so expect the rest of the Sonic characters to have VA changes sooner than later, if they indeed are taking Sonic in a new direction (again). π€
Plot Twist, they bring back the worst VA, From Sonic's Schoolhouse.
@Pacmanrace
This is for anyone:
Speaking of Sonic VA's, does anyone know what happened to the "old" Mario & Sonic announcer (2010 - Sochi 2014)? He's been MIA since Rio 2016. π€
I'm pretty sure that Immortals Fenyx Rising has had more crossovers at this point, than Ninjala has. Not saying that collabs are bad at all, but having like 4 collabs in a two month (ish) timeframe is pretty crazy, vs. 4 collabs in a six-month timeframe. π€
Pretty soon, the new "Official" title of this game will be Immortals Fenyx Rising: The Card Game Featuring Dante from Devil May Cry, with New Funky Mode, & Knuckles, Gold Definitive Edition, by the time all the collabs for Immoral Fenyx Rising are done. π€
I'm really looking forward to this game, so I hope they can clear things up before launch. This game really needs to be delayed now if it's to be successful. The fact that it had the same release date as MH Rise wasn't a good start, and now the demo is (apparently) not that good. π€ Even a delay to June should iron out the issues, and have more breathing room between Balan Wonderworld and the other big titles releasing in the next two months. π€
@SalvorHardin I think the reason they took that approach for the Mario items was that they wanted to share what they were doing for Mario's 35th anniversary, otherwise it probably would just have been the usual New Horizons update trailer. π€
@VoidofLight The fact that they stripped (what seems like) half the content, and then trickle it and advertise it as "new content" really bugs me. When I realized that they were doing the live-service approach, I expected it to be like Splatoon, where we got actual new content, and not stripped out content put back in, in a year (or 3). I honestly think that when they delayed the game, they took some of the content out, rather than polishing what they had.
@Goat_FromBOTW Yeah, I was hoping that they were going to continue bringing back features, as well as the holidays, but that hasn't happened since the July updates. I also don't really want to decorate my island either. I was also really excited for New Horizons as well, since I am a big Animal Crossing fan. I think the reason why they focused more on the customization is that they seemed to want to bring new players (which I totally get), but I feel like they focused on that so much that it kind of alienated the veteran base of Animal Crossing. I feel like that previous Animal Crossing games have tried to bring more of the veterans back in, but New Horizons seemed to be trying to do the opposite. (If that makes any sense at all). π€ Your HHD to New Leaf percent ratio would explain why I haven't been nearly in New Horizons as I have been in previous games.
@StarrieMoonlight There definitely is a lot missing from New Horizons. I feel that the part of the spirit of the previous Animal Crossing games is nowhere near as present as the other games, because so much content is missing. π€π
@auck
Yeah, it's definitely bizarre (and trippy).
Does it do that for every game, or just New Horizons? π€
If you're going to watch movies on that TV, you're probably going to want to turn the picture mode to "Movie", as it will try to display movies in 60fps, even though most movies aren't anywhere close to 60fps.
@dux @auck Some 4K (and Smart) TV's have their default picture mode to try to display everything @ 60fps, even if it wasn't 60fps to start with. New Horizons is @ 30fps, even though the rest of the (main) series has been @ 60fps. π€
@Anti-Matter
I also have to agree with @Clyde_Radcliffe that having the animals more rude and blunt made it more funny for me as well. (At least, it became more funny a few years after I became a fan of the series). π€
EDIT:
@Clyde_Radcliffe
Man, Resetti, and the rest of the villagers were so savage at times in the older games. π€
You guys just opened a can of worms that might not look so nice.
Just to name a few things that are missing from New Horizons:
Characters: Rover (outside of May Day event), Blanca, Pelly, Phyllis, Pete, Joan, Porter, Booker & Copper, Kapp'n, Tortimer, Katrina, Brewster, and others I can't think of at the moment
Features: Gyroids, Brewster's Cafe, Hair Salon (Although the customizable hair options do explain this removal), Kapp'ns' Island, and I can probably go on.
In case you're wondering, yes I had to look some of this up, as I don't remember all the characters, and features they REMOVED in New Horizons.
Here are the videos I used to do my research. (These videos are definitely outdated, but it still gives you an idea of what was missing, or what still is missing.
Sorry for making this such a long post everyone, I just am annoyed with much content is missing from New Horizons. π€
@TimeVolt If you mean the Nintendo Life community, then it does look like that. The Nintendo Life community, in general, doesn't seem to be huge on Ninjala (or F2P games to begin with). I hope that more Nintendo Life users give Ninjala a chance, (or give it another chance), sooner than later. π€
@TimeVolt Don't worry about them, they were pretty negative on here no matter what game it was for. I'm pretty sure they were a troll, and got banned for it.
@konbinilife Oh okay, that makes sense, and thanks for letting me know. π€ That's true, I wasn't if that's what you meant when you made your initial statement, so that's why I asked. π€
@Anti-Matter
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
That's why I was kind of confused when you said that KPP was similar to Lady Gaga, costume wise, since Lady Gaga does tend to be more "edgy" with her outfits, and KPP's outfits looked more colorful from various commercials/pictures I've seen her in.
That looks really fun to play, where is it located? π€
@Anti-Matter Okay, thanks for letting me know. MaiMai sounds like an interesting game to try out. π€ That's a comparison I wasn't expecting to hear. TBH, I've never really cared for Lady Gaga. So, how unique are Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's costumes? π€ Yeah, I did notice that she has catchy and unique songs, when I heard one of her songs in Ninjala. π€
@konbinilife If you don't mind me asking, why would you have time to find KPP's newest music, but not the time for Ninjala? π€
@Riderkicker
Okay, thanks for letting me know. That makes sense.
If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by "solo gaming kick"? π€
Does that mean you're going through your backlog, or does that mean you're just going through a lot of single-player games at this point, or something completely different? π€
That's good that it's staying installed.
EDIT: IIRC, I believe that Ninjala doesn't take up that much space. π€
@KateGray
Okay, thanks for letting me know. That's the attitude to have. π€
I mean, I would recommend Ninjala, even if I'm one of the only people on Nintendo Life (at this point) that seems to enjoys it.
As for KPP, I don't much about her, so you might want to ask Ryu_Niiyama instead. π€
@KateGray Haha, that's very true, you can say that again. I just wish that more people on Nintendo Life would give Ninjala a chance. (Which I feel like is starting to become the case, again). π€ Are you a fan of Ninjala or KPP? π€
@Ryu_Niiyama I didn't realize that you played Ninjala. I think the reason that people thought it would flop, is because it's a new IP from Gung Ho, and it also had a bit of rocky launch, so those factors didn't help Ninjala's case. Yeah, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's music is really cool (based on the Steve Aoki remix in Ninjala, that is). π€

Re: GungHo Doesn't Necessarily Want To "Restrict" Ninjala To Switch Forever
@Clarice
Oh, that makes much more sense. Sorry for not realizing you meant hookup for Ninjala. Usually, hookup is used for dating (or other things), so I'm assumed you meant hookup in the dating sort of sense.
Re: Ninjala Celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Demon Slayer Anime Collab
I'm VERY, very, sorry for the really, really, really, late response.
@blockfight
Okay, thanks for letting me know. I hope you do try it out again, if you do let me know what you think of that.
Re: GungHo Doesn't Necessarily Want To "Restrict" Ninjala To Switch Forever
I'm VERY, very, sorry for the really, really, really, late responses, guys.
@Snatcher
Yeah, for sure. I think Ninjala just gets a bad rep because of the fact that itβs free to play.
@Clarice
Okay, thanks for letting me know. No, I'm not looking to hook up at all. You might want to be careful when asking that question on here in the future, as you'll probably not get a nice response from someone else on here, since this is a Nintendo site, and not a dating site. Just wanted to let you know.
@Ganner
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Re: GungHo Doesn't Necessarily Want To "Restrict" Ninjala To Switch Forever
Something that confuses me in the article is the fact that Gung-Ho said that Ninjala has "a lot of drive from Nintendo", when I feel that Nintendo is supporting Knockout City more currently, than they were of Ninjala a year ago, unless I'm missing something, that is.
I do hope that Ninjala eventually gets released on other platforms, as I feel that it would definitely rise in popularity if that happened. I hope that Ninjala becomes as popular as Splatoon, although not as popular as Fortnite or Among Us, because quite a lot of people would start to hate on it.
@Liam_Doolan
@Snatcher
@ModdedInkling
Also, do you play Ninjala by any chance? π€
@Clarice, @Ganner
I also found that part confusing as well, but maybe Nintendo's giving more support behind the scenes than publicly, for some odd reason.
Also, do you guys play Ninjala by any chance? π€
Re: Ninjala Celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Demon Slayer Anime Collab
@Liam_Doolan
Thank you for updating the article when the collab started; I really appreciate it. I (somehow) forgot to thank you once you updated the article in my initial comment after the article was updated.
Sorry for the late response, I've just been busy recently.
@blockfight
Okay, I was just curious. I do feel like the gameplay was more rough at launch than it is now. I would recommend giving it another shot, as I feel it definitely has improved since launch, and this coming from someone who has played pretty consistently since launch.
Re: Nintendo Is Shutting Down Dr. Mario World For Mobile
Re: Ninjala Celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Demon Slayer Anime Collab
@blockfight
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to get into Ninjala.
If you don't mind me asking, what made you not enjoy Ninjala as much? π€
@dew12333
No, I don't work for Gung-Ho nor am I an ambassador for them (or Ninjala), although that would be really cool though.
I hope I'm making sense.
@CodyMKW
100% agree with you on that.
Re: Ninjala Celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Demon Slayer Anime Collab
@Nintendo4Sonic

Glad I could help you out.
I waited to respond to see if anyone else would respond, but it looks like you're the only one who did.
Thanks for responding back, I really appreciate it.
Re: Talking Point: Where Does The Switch OLED Announcement Leave The Rumoured Switch Pro?
Re: Ninjala Celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Demon Slayer Anime Collab
@Liam_Doolan
@Nintendo4Sonic
@MetalToad
Yeah, I'm glad it's doing well also. If you don't mind me asking, do you happen to play Ninjala?
@adammmmmm
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to enjoy Ninjala like you wanted to.
If you don't mind me asking, what do you think made Ninjala not fun for you?
@JR150
@boxyguy
It's indeed crazy. Like I told JR150, I just wish that Ninjala was more into the spotlight. I just hope that more and more people start playing Ninjala more, so that it can continue to grow and have updates.
Re: Switch Users Report Problem With Error 2123-1502 Following System Update Issues
@Slowdive
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Iβm a little confused, I thought that TLS was an upgraded version of SSL.
IIRC, I also thought that was some sort of movement to get SSL (or another encryption method) replaced with a more secure encryption method.
Maybe it has to do with the rumored Switch Online revamp, and they might be testing what works and doesnβt work before they completely redo the Online infrastructure. π€
Re: Switch Users Report Problem With Error 2123-1502 Following System Update Issues
@Slowdive
If you donβt mind me asking, what exactly is TLS 1.3 and what it does? π€
Iβve heard of it since this update, but have no idea what it is. π€
Re: Ninjala Surpasses 7 Million Downloads, All Players Recieve Free Gift
YAY! Ninjala finally got to 7 Million downloads. I was thinking that it was going to hit the milestone sooner rather than later. I hope it can get to 8 Million in the next few months. I hope Ninjala reaches 10 Million eventually.
@ryancraddock
THANK YOU for writing this article, I really appreciate it. I know that you guys are pretty consistent with the additional million downloads articles for NInjala, but I just wanted to encourage you guys to continue writing Ninjala articles.
@Kimyonaakuma
I'm one of those people, and I'm also not hiding, I've just been busy recently. There's a few people on here in the Ninjala Gang, but I don't know where they are currently.
@sikthvash
I would recommend trying it out, although I'm one of the few people on here who actually likes it.
@Ghost_of_Hasashi, @Jake_qwerp
I actually feel the opposite way about Ninjala and Splatoon 2, for some reason.
@NintendoCopium
I still go on Ninjala when I can, and I'm not a bot. π€ π
@ModdedInkling
I'm hoping that it happens as well. I mean, IIRC, I believe it was the Gung-Ho CEO who said that he would love to do a crossover with Splatoon someday, so I think it could very possibly happen. (I mean it could happen as soon as next year with Splatoon 3 launching then).
@JR150
@Guyokai
I still play when I get the chance to (or when I'm in the mood for it).
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Is The Latest Ninjala Crossover, And "Collab Gacha" Is Coming, Too
Sorry for the late responses guys, I've just been pretty busy recently.
@JaxonH
I'm glad you think it's an awesome collab.
@dartmonkey
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
@TimeVolt
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Re: Illumination Founder Chris Meledandri Set To Join Nintendo Board
@JaneBear
Usually, the Nintendo Life community is pretty civil and respectful.
@AlexSora89
Furukawa has been in for almost 3 years at this point, now more time than Tatsumi Kimishima.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Is The Latest Ninjala Crossover, And "Collab Gacha" Is Coming, Too
@GetontheStiix
No, not at all.
Sorry to bug you by tagging you again, but this a question that Iβve had for a while now. π€
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Is The Latest Ninjala Crossover, And "Collab Gacha" Is Coming, Too
This is probably the smartest collab that Ninjala has done to date. I mean you take a game has been super successful and sold millions at this point, and then put it in your own game.
First, it was having the Rocket League-esque mode as a Featured Battle, and now this. π€
If they continue to do stuff like this, Ninjala will start to become known in the gaming community.
@dartmonkey
THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this article, I really appreciate it. You even updated it to let people know that itβs available. I know you guys usually do that, but I havenβt seen that done with Ninjala that often if at all.
Re: GungHo Reveals Its Plans For Ninjala Season 5

They kind of fixed it in Season 3 to where if you buy the Ninjala Pass, then the cosmetics won't be consumed for that season.

At least you enjoyed the Immortals Fenyx Rising demo. π€
Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Voice Actor Announces His Departure From The Role
@Goat_FromBOTW
Sorry for the very, very, very late reply, I've just been really busy recently.
Anyways, I figured that's what the Dark Age was, but thanks for letting me know anyways, though. That's an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad you enjoy those Sonic games. (Just don't tell the rest of the Sonic fanbase because 95% of them will probably disagree with you). π€
That story sounds like an interesting concept and would really cool if it actually happened.
Re: Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time Hits Nintendo Switch This March
@westman98
We're going to have to go on every Square Enix Twitter account and (respectfully) ask those accounts to delay Balan Wonderworld until they delay it, since they're not responding to the replies on the Balan account. π€
Re: Random: Dataminers Use Original Uncompressed Samples To Restore Super Mario World's Soundtrack
This is really cool and it sounds really good as well.
I knew that N64 audio was compressed, but I didn't realize that Super NES audio was compressed. π€
Speaking of data mining, I'm surprised that no data miners have tried to datamine the Balan Wonderworld demo to try and figure out what's going on in the demo. π€
Re: Sonic's Voice Actor From Sonic Adventure Has Already Contacted Sega About A Possible Return
Re: Reminder: You Can Now Download A Demo Of Immortals Fenyx Rising From The Switch eShop
@rjejr

(I haven't played the demo yet, so we'll see if what I think changes). π€
Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Voice Actor Announces His Departure From The Role
@Goat_FromBOTW
Haha, yeah Mike Pollock is a legend (and so is the guy who voiced Eggman/Robotnik in the AOSOH TV show). π€
Re: Reminder: You Can Now Download A Demo Of Immortals Fenyx Rising From The Switch eShop
@rjejr
IIRC, I believe demos (and games) are listed by "Most Popular" and you have to change the filter to "Release Date (newest to oldest)" for them to be in release date order. I hope this helps. π€
I mean, I feel like both demos will definitely be better on PS4, but the question is by how much better will they be. π€
Re: Sega's Splitting Its Amusement And Video Game Divisions, Triggering Rumours That An Acquisition Is Afoot
I don't believe this means that Sega is about to be bought out.
Sega sold 85% of Sega Entertainment back in early November, so it doesn't surprise me that they're splitting up the divisions. I wouldn't be surprised if the entire Sega Entertainment (arcade side) division gets dissolved by the end of the year, if the arcades continue to do as bad as they are. π€
The "acceleration of global business development by streamlining [SEGA Sammyβs] structure" also doesn't surprise me because Sega said a while ago that they were trying to have simultaneous worldwide releases, so this move was probably done to do just that. π€
Re: Hideki Kamiya Hopes Fans Will Get A Kick Out Of Platinum's Special "Bonus Stage" Announcement
The fact that they say that they've been working on it for a while completes disproves it being a Star Fox Zero Switch port, as PlatinumGames said back in August that they hadn't been contacted by Nintendo regarding bringing Star Fox Zero to Switch, and I doubt that's changed since then. π€π
@Grumblevolcano
I can't tell if you're being serious or not. π€
I can see Zero happening on Switch, but not Guard as it definitely used the Gamepad to the fullest. π€
Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Voice Actor Announces His Departure From The Role

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Voice Actor Announces His Departure From The Role
Very sad to see Roger Craig Smith go. π
I hope the next Sonic VA sounds similar to him, and that he has success with whatever he's doing next.
@Eddyson, @Goat_FromBOTW, @Ultrasmiles, @OstianOwl, @EmmatheBest, @Bobb, @mr-duster
Here's why I think Roger Craig Smith "stepped down" as Sonic:
The last time they got rid of the Sonic VA (and the rest of the VA's for the Sonic series), Sega was starting to take a different approach for the Sonic series, so expect the rest of the Sonic characters to have VA changes sooner than later, if they indeed are taking Sonic in a new direction (again). π€

Re: Ubisoft Announces UNO X Immortals Fenyx Rising Crossover
I'm pretty sure that Immortals Fenyx Rising has had more crossovers at this point, than Ninjala has. Not saying that collabs are bad at all, but having like 4 collabs in a two month (ish) timeframe is pretty crazy, vs. 4 collabs in a six-month timeframe. π€

Re: Video: We're Not All That Impressed With Balan Wonderworld's Free Demo
I'm really looking forward to this game, so I hope they can clear things up before launch.
This game really needs to be delayed now if it's to be successful. The fact that it had the same release date as MH Rise wasn't a good start, and now the demo is (apparently) not that good. π€
Even a delay to June should iron out the issues, and have more breathing room between Balan Wonderworld and the other big titles releasing in the next two months. π€
Re: Resetti Finally Makes An Appearance In New Horizons, But Only As An In-Game Item
@SalvorHardin
I think the reason they took that approach for the Mario items was that they wanted to share what they were doing for Mario's 35th anniversary, otherwise it probably would just have been the usual New Horizons update trailer. π€
@VoidofLight
The fact that they stripped (what seems like) half the content, and then trickle it and advertise it as "new content" really bugs me. When I realized that they were doing the live-service approach, I expected it to be like Splatoon, where we got actual new content, and not stripped out content put back in, in a year (or 3). I honestly think that when they delayed the game, they took some of the content out, rather than polishing what they had.
@Goat_FromBOTW
Yeah, I was hoping that they were going to continue bringing back features, as well as the holidays, but that hasn't happened since the July updates. (If that makes any sense at all). π€
Your HHD to New Leaf percent ratio would explain why I haven't been nearly in New Horizons as I have been in previous games.
@StarrieMoonlight
There definitely is a lot missing from New Horizons. I feel that the part of the spirit of the previous Animal Crossing games is nowhere near as present as the other games, because so much content is missing. π€π

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.7.0 Is Now Live
@dux @auck
Some 4K (and Smart) TV's have their default picture mode to try to display everything @ 60fps, even if it wasn't 60fps to start with. New Horizons is @ 30fps, even though the rest of the (main) series has been @ 60fps. π€

@Riderkicker
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Good luck with clearing your backlog. π€
Oh okay, that makes sense. π€
Re: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Latest Single Featured On Ninjala Advert In Japan
@Anti-Matter
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
MaiMai sounds like an interesting game to try out. π€
That's a comparison I wasn't expecting to hear.
TBH, I've never really cared for Lady Gaga.
So, how unique are Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's costumes? π€
Yeah, I did notice that she has catchy and unique songs, when I heard one of her songs in Ninjala. π€
@konbinilife
If you don't mind me asking, why would you have time to find KPP's newest music, but not the time for Ninjala? π€
Re: Ninjala Has Now Been Downloaded Six Million Times On The Switch eShop
@Riderkicker
EDIT: IIRC, I believe that Ninjala doesn't take up that much space. π€
Re: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Latest Single Featured On Ninjala Advert In Japan
@KateGray
Okay, thanks for letting me know. That's the attitude to have. π€
I mean, I would recommend Ninjala, even if I'm one of the only people on Nintendo Life (at this point) that seems to enjoys it.
As for KPP, I don't much about her, so you might want to ask Ryu_Niiyama instead. π€
Re: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Latest Single Featured On Ninjala Advert In Japan
@KateGray
Haha, that's very true, you can say that again.
I just wish that more people on Nintendo Life would give Ninjala a chance. (Which I feel like is starting to become the case, again). π€
Are you a fan of Ninjala or KPP? π€
@Ryu_Niiyama
I didn't realize that you played Ninjala. I think the reason that people thought it would flop, is because it's a new IP from Gung Ho, and it also had a bit of rocky launch, so those factors didn't help Ninjala's case. Yeah, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's music is really cool (based on the Steve Aoki remix in Ninjala, that is). π€
