@Riderkicker
Nice, that's good that you seem to like it. Oddly enough, the Splatoon 2 comparisons are what made me more interested in Ninjala in the first place. Yeah, being independent of a team in Ninjala was kind of refreshing for me as well. 🤔
For some reason, the rock/paper/scissors parry doesn't seem to bug me. Yeah, I can get that, as the rock/paper/scissors parry would be more "sophisticated" than just button mashing. 🤔
EDIT: So, if you don't mind me asking, are you planning to continue playing Ninjala? 🤔
Ninjala articles 2 days in a row?! 🤯
That hasn't happened in a long time, Keep Them Coming. 🤔
She's been going for 10 years?! Wow, that's crazy. I actually know who Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is now, thanks to Ninjala.
Like I said in the previous Ninjala article, I'm really excited that the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu collab is coming back. I'm definitely going to get the emote this time.
Also, am I the only one who didn't know who Kyary Pamyu Pamyu was, until Ninjala? 🤔
@KateGray
THANK YOU for writing this, I really appreciate it. 🤔
You even put the dates down for the second Kyary Pamyu Pamyu collab, nice.
@Riderkicker, @OnlyItsMeReid, @thehoppypoppy, @AZD1222, @pixelpatch
I would recommend it (or give it another chance), as I have fun with it (Although, I'm one of the only few people on here that seems to enjoy Ninjala). 🤔
@boxyguy
Yeah, Season 3 was pretty big overall. I knew that they experimenting with a new S-Energy "replacement", but I somehow didn't the new parry "replacement". 🤔
@Silly_G
Yes, I would say it is. Like @JR150, and @pixelpatch said, Gung Ho is nowhere near as big as Mario (or Nintendo itself), it's also a new IP from Gung Ho, and since it also had a rocky launch, these factors will make people less likely to come back to it, unless it has significantly improved, which I would say that Ninjala has done that.
@Snatcher
Okay, thanks for letting me know. Those issues make sense, and I would say that they're (mostly) fixed now. 🤔
Awesome, Ninjala finally got to 6 Million downloads. I was thinking that 6 Million downloads was going to happen any day now, but I wasn't sure when it was going to happen.
Wait, you guys included Dev Diary #12 and the Season 4 trailer?! 🤯 That's Even More AWESOME.
@Liam_Doolan
THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this, and for including Dev Diary #12 and the Season 4 trailer. I really appreciate it. 😊
I hope I wasn't being pushy with the Dev Diary #12 news tip I gave you guys. (Or with Ninjala news tips in general). 🤔
@Snatcher
We meet again. LMAO
I didn't realize you were playing Ninjala on a semi-consistent basis, I thought you either stopped playing it or hadn't played it at all. (For some reason). Also, if you don't mind me asking, what were the issues you were having with Ninjala at launch? 🤔
@boxyguy
I feel like they've been listening to feedback from the beginning, but I personally feel that Season 3 was when things really started to become more ramped up for feedback/changes.
Also, when did they mention exploring other parry options? 🤔
I guess I must have missed this in the Dev Diary, whoops.
@JR150
I thought you've been a fan of Ninjala since day one. 🤔
Yeah, I haven't played Splatoon 2 in months. (i.e. a year)
It really has become something special, and I'm saying that as a day one supporter. I also hope that the devs continue listening to our feedback.
EDIT: I'm also really excited about the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Collab coming back, (even though I had no idea who Kyary Pamyu Pamyu was until the Ninjala Collab). I'm definitely going to get the dance move this time, as I was thinking about it last time, but by the time I went to buy it, it was already gone and I'm not making that mistake again. 🤔
I was going to put this in my initial response, but I forgot to include it. (I guess I got too hyped about the article being written, that I forgot to put it in my response. Whoops).
@Snatcher
Okay, thanks for letting me know. Here's goes (most likely) nothing, LOL. 🤔😐
Also, do you want me to wait a bit, so people can respond to your news tip, or can I go ahead and post it? 🤔
EDIT: Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I'm just nervous about posting it (for some reason).
@Snatcher On okay, it's fine. I just wanted to let you know. I already posted in the Ninjala Thread a week ago. When I posted it in the Ninjala Thread, I tagged the most active Nintendo Life authors, so I don't know if I should tag them again, if I'm going to repost it into the Chit Chat Thread. 🤔 That being said, do you think I should re-tag the authors if I reposted it in The Chit Chat Thread? 🤔
@Snatcher
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Sometimes when I talk about something I'm really interested in, I sometimes tend to ramble on without realizing it, so I'm glad I wasn't endlessly rambling.
Do you think I should post the Ninjala article I posted about in The Nintendo Switch Thread, or The Chit Chat Thread, to see if anyone responds there? (Which they probably won't respond to it, but I feel like I should still try anyways). 🤔
If so, should I re-tag the authors I initially tagged when I posted it in the Ninjala Forum? 🤔
EDIT: Also, I happened to see your post in the Chit Chat Thread, and I hate to say this, but you spelled Liam Doolan's username wrong.
(In case you're wondering what it is, it's Liam_Doolan). 🤔
@Snatcher Are you talking about Ninjala or Risk of Rain? 🤔 I think it's dumb for Nintendo Life to not write an article, even if most of the people on here aren't into the said game because at least one person (or a group of people) will appreciate the news. I know that certain games have more of a fanbase than others, but the Nintendo Life fanbase for Ninjala is probably the smallest Nintendo Life fanbase that I've seen. 🤔 So, what should be done about it, then? I feel like I've done all I can, and I don't know what else to do at this point. 🤔 Also, thank you for listening and responding to me, I really appreciate it. 🤔
@Snatcher
Okay, that's good.
I'm confused with what exactly you think I should talk to other people in the Chit Chat Thread. The fact that Nintendo Life seems to ignore by Ninjala news tips (for some reason), or the article itself about Ninjala that I posted about.
I haven't brought it up much because of the following two reasons:
1) Most people on Nintendo Life don't seem to care about Ninjala in the first place.
2) If I bring up Ninjala too much, I'm concerned that people would consider me a "troll". I also don't want to be like that one person who was asking/demanding Nintendo Life to write an article for the Risk of Rain 1.0 update, and then Nintendo Life never ended up writing the article about it, because of how much they were asking/demanding for it. (I'm wouldn't go that crazy with it, to begin with, but I still don't want to run that risk of not having Nintendo Life write the article about it, because I talked about it too much). 🤔
@Snatcher That's the conclusion that I've started to come to as well. 😔 Nintendo Life used to write articles about Ninjala every week (or every other week) for a while. However, since November they've only written like 1 article a month, so I don't why they suddenly decreased the articles written for Ninjala. One time I sent them a news tip about Ninjala, and they wrote the article 45 minutes later. I not expecting that to ever happen again, but I feel like it should be like a day (or two) later at max (IMO). 🤔 Actually, Among Us falls within the same gap between Ninjala articles (except maybe the gap is a bit bigger for Among Us). I hope I'm making at least some sense. 🤔
@Snatcher I already did that, but thanks for the advice anyways. Whenever I've given Nintendo Life a Ninjala news tip, I've always included ryancraddock, Liam_Doolan, (and more recently KateGray), as they either write the most articles, or are the most active in the comments. In case you're curious as to what I posted you can go here (or here if you just want to go straight to the article I referenced).
This is cool that Among Us that gotten popular enough that Innersloth now has a roadmap for this year. Speaking of Dev Blogs/Dev Diaries, has anyone @NintendoLife received the news tip about the Dev Diary for Ninjala that I posted about? 🤔 I posted it in the Ninjala Forum last week, and I also sent you guys a News Tip/Press Release Contact via the Contact Us Page yesterday. 🤔
@TheLightSpirit
You're not the only one that's had their interest in Splatoon 2 plummet, as I haven't Splatoon 2 in months. (i.e. I haven't played in a year, in fact, yesterday was the YTD since I played Splatoon 2).
@KateGray
Okay, it's good to be proud of making (or accomplishing) something, but finding that balance of being proud (but not too proud) can be a hard task to do sometimes. From the article, it doesn't you went too crazy with it (unless I missed something). 🤔
Yeah, I had that happen one time where I hadn't played the game in a while, I went back to it, and I got a lot of letters as well. Seems like you found your reason to jump back in, and I hope your upcoming New Horizons adventures are even better than before.
I'm honestly waiting for more of the features from the previous games to come back, before I jump back into New Horizons again (something I thought I'd never say, given how big of an Animal Crossing fan I am). 🤔 Speaking of jumping back into things, did you guys receive the news tips I sent you guys yesterday? 🤔
@KateGray
I like how you decided to get a 5-hour headstart ahead of your friends since your Switch is on a UK account. 🤔
I also have something else to say regarding your headstart:
It stinks that you weren't able to enjoy New Horizons after a while, even though you were able to reconnect with some of your friends that you haven't contacted in a while, so at least you re-gained some friendships.
I also haven't played New Horizons in a while, even though I'm a big fan of the series, because I felt that New Horizons didn't have as much of a spirit as the previous Animal Crossing games have.
@Elvie Well, you could technically say that Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is Sonic Boom 3. 🤔 Also, someone at Sega confirmed through an AMA (in the last few months), that there isn't anything new planned for Sonic Boom whether it's a new TV Show or a new game. (IIRC) 🤔
@SeantheDon29 That would be pretty cool and realistic for them to do, IMO, except for S06 being a part of the Sonic 3D All-Stars. I also don't know if Sonic All-Stars Racing: Transformed will be ported to current consoles, as we already have Team Sonic Racing on current consoles, and Sega seems to keep to one Sonic Racing game per console (IIRC).
@Retro_Player_77 I was expecting them to do the monthly Sonic news, but TBF Sega (or anyone else really) wasn't expecting a pandemic to mess things up. I also believe that's why they haven't shared anything new about Sonic recently, not only because of the pandemic but they also wanted to wait until they were closer to the launch of the new Sonic game, which is something the pandemic has also messed with. 🤔
This doesn't surprise me at all. The Xbox Family has always sold poorly in Japan. Hopefully, the Series X/S will start to change that.
Also, is that who I think it is? 🤔🤯
If so, that's really cool that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu did ads for the 3DS. 🤔
This is really cool. Hopefully, this won't be in developmental heck like Indiana Jones 5 has been in. I trust the studio behind it, even if I don't for Wolfenstein itself. Also, when do you guys expect this to release, and how long do you think it's been in development for? 🤔
This explains why Disney was hiring people under the Lucasfilm Games banner a couple of years ago. They were getting ready to release the older Star Wars games, and they were gearing up for this as well. 🤔
@Grackler @TheRealMW, @Aurumonado, @FullMetalWesker, @Thundertron55
Disney has a contract with EA for "core" Star Wars games until 2023. Honestly, with Lucasfilm Games becoming a thing again, I believe this might open doors for a variety of Star Wars projects (potentially even in-house development), once the EA contract s up. I believe they're just getting started with Lucasfilm Games starting up again, especially since it says “the beginning of a ‘new era‘ ” line on the Official Star Wars Website. 🤔
@Jan-Ake
Like others have said, LucasArts used to be called Lucasfilm Games.
@Krambo42, @brunojenso, @Scrubicius
Honestly, I think that re-releasing the Rogue Squadron games isn't out of the question anymore, like it was 2+ years ago.
The fact that the older Star Wars games have started being re-released, the fact we got a new Squadrons game last year, and the movie releasing in 2023, leaves me to believe that we will get (at least) a re-release of the Rogue Squadron games sooner rather than later.
EDIT: Has the Twitter account for Star Wars games always been called Lucasfilm Games, or was it changed yesterday when the announcement happened?
I'm asking because it says that Lucasfilm Games joined Twitter in July 2015, but I feel like it hasn't been called that since they joined Twitter.
@LilMuku I wasn't sure if you were meaning that Nintendo hadn't released any new games, or games in general in 2020, which is why I made my post. 🤔 If you had put "there wasn't any new Nintendo stuff " instead of "there wasn't any Nintendo stuff", it would been more clear (IMO). I mean, I was fine with Nintendo's lineup last year, but I know not everyone was. 🤔 I just wanted to let you know, I hope this clears up any confusion. 🤔
@Giancarlothomaz Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. I think that's the point of 3D Land/3D World, is to be a mix of 2D/3D. I guess you could call 3D Land/3D World "true" 2.5D. 🤔
@Blooper987 Okay, thanks for letting me know. I've also played Animal Crossing and Fortnite (even though I haven't played Fortnite since mid-2019). I haven't played Genshin Impact yet (though I'm definitely interested in it), and I have no idea what Identity V is. I've "heard" of the games you haven't heard of, but I also have little to no idea what those games are either. 🤔
@LilMuku There were other Nintendo games that were released in 2020, like XC: DE, Clubhouse Games, Paper Mario: Origami King, 3D All-Stars, Mario 35, MK: Live Circuit, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, so I'm confused with your statement. 🤔
Nice to see Genshin Impact in the Top 10 Most Tweeted Games, even though it only came out in late September. It's also cool to see Animal Crossing as #1, even though I completely expected that.
@Blooper987 If you don't mind me asking, what are the three games that you've played from this list and are the four you've never heard of before? 🤔
@Snatcher, @Kimyonaakuma Actually, I would consider it a slow news day if there haven't been any articles posted for 6+ hours (or 9-12 hours). 🤔
@sleepinglion Thanks. I haven't played 3D Land, but I definitely want to though. That makes sense, people don't seem to be the biggest fan of the "New SMB" series. I've been hoping for that ever since they starting bringing over Wii U games consistently, as I don't have a 3DS, and have heard great things about the 3DS library.
@mr_me450 All that I'm trying to say is that, when people mention Mario games or 3DS games in general, they don't tend to bring up 3D Land. Even before the Wii U ports started happening, people still talked about 3D World more than 3D Land. 3D World seems to have a higher attach rate, than 3D Land which is why I brought up the sales in the last part.
@Simonebelmont Interesting, that's cool. I haven't heard many people say that. In fact, I tend to hear the opposite with 3D Land.
@Giancarlothomaz Glad I could help you understand. Okay, I get that, I tend to prefer the more linear 3D Mario games, but I do also like Sunshine and 64. What exactly do you find limiting about 3D Land? Is it how linear it is, is it the movement you find limiting, or is it something else? I assume Sunshine is one of your least favorite 3D Mario games is because of the difficulty spikes that happen throughout the game.
@brandonbwii So, maybe not Praise the Sun mode, but people still do tend to praise 3D World more than 3D Land. 3D World does have a higher Metacritic and a higher user score (at least with Metacritic and here on Nintendo Life).
@mr_me450, @dronesplitter, @Giancarlothomaz, @TheLightSpirit, @Snatcher, @Eddyson, @DarkTron, @SimoneBelmont, @Steel76, @sleepinglion, @lighteningbolt79, @nessisonett, @brandonbwii, and anyone else who has, or will, question 3D Land being "Forgotten"
I think the reason the article said that 3D Land is forgotten is that:
1. Almost no one (outside of this comment section) mentions
3D Land as their favorite 3D Mario game, even though they will mention 3D World as their favorite. 🤔
2. Even though 3D Land partly "saved" the 3DS, people (even in this comment section) seem to dismiss 3D Land and just talk about 3D World, (or just pretend that 3D Land doesn't exist as a "true" Mario game), or just talk about it in general, but go into "Praise the Sun" mode when they talk about 3D World. 🤔
3. If the Wii U had sold more (i.e. like 3 - 4 times more) 3D World probably would have outsold 3D Land "in a heartbeat". 🤔
I hope this helps you guys understand why Nintendo Life called
3D Land "Forgotten".
@Steel76
I'm also with you on that (regarding the Switch port portion), even though I haven't played 3D Land.
Something that I find interesting is that the resolution is higher in the menus than the game itself. It makes sense, as menus are generally less taxing than games in general. I haven't seen many games do this, and I don't think there are many games that do this begin with, as far as I know.
@Enigk Oh okay, I get it now. Haha, that's good. 🤔 Yeah, it does in the latter camp. I get that, but I would still give it a shot, as I like it (even if I'm like one of five people that likes it on here). 🤔
@AndyC_MK84 Okay, that's good. For some reason, I thought it had turned into a rant. Seems like we have a couple of similar beliefs, regarding gaming. I get the fact that it would cost Limited Run Games a lot of money to keep the physical copies going until the end of said console, but I feel like they could have a better system of handling their physical games. I've heard that Limited Run has their copies being sold for 6 months to a year, but I don't know how accurate that is. Actually, the indies that I've seen charge around half price ($20 - $30) with some games being higher and lower than that. I'm not really into indies, so I could be mistaken regarding the price.
@AndyC_MK84
DANG, an additional £45 on top of the £100?! 🤔🤯
Who the heck was selling it? I'm asking because that's a ridiculous price to pay that much for a game, and not even have a Collector' Editon, or a Limited Edition, with that price. 🤔😐
That's the problem with indie games having to rely on companies like Limited Run Games, which is that they can charge whatever they want to and get away with it. I appreciate the fact that indies have options to have physical releases if they want to, but it also means the consumer gets hit the hardest, regarding price.
Sorry, I feel like this ended up turning into a rant, instead of just being a response to you.
Anyway, that's good that SteamWorld Dig 2 is available at most retailers.
@AndyC_MK84
It definitely can be hard to decide on things at times. This brings in the cost vs. benefits scenario that we doing a lot of the time, no matter what it's for.
Seems like we both have the same stance on digital vs physical games. If people limit themselves to one or the other, then I feel that people are missing out on games they might end up liking.
I haven't played the Steamworld series either.
Wait, £100 for a physical version?! 🤔🤯
Did it come with anything else, or just the game?
You got it for like a 1/10 of the original cost, so it's the best of both worlds (IMO).
@Discostew Oh, that's right, I remember now. Then (IIRC), there were reports after that that Netflix was wanting a higher royalty fee (or something like that) that Nintendo wasn't willing to pay. 🤔
@Kisame83 Like @Discostew mentioned, it seems to be that the problem with both companies (Netflix and Nintendo, that is). Also, I believe the first part of this post is the reason why Netflix isn't on Switch, although I don't if I'm missing anything else, regarding the whereabouts of Netflix on Switch. 🤔
@AndyC_MK84 Yeah, that's true. I was talking about Limited Run Games and how their prices are definitely more than the digital price. An example of this was when I was wanting to get the Panzer Dragoon Remake on Switch physically, but it was $40 physically vs $20 digitally, and (IIRC) I don't believe there was any additional stuff that came with it, like Limited Run Games usually has when they release physical versions of games. Microsoft and Sony tend to have more sales than Nintendo in general (although Nintendo is getting better on the sales end). Dang, that's a pretty good deal to get for a new game, whether it's for Wii U or other consoles. Also, you can edit your comments if you need to add something to them later, just wanted to let you know. 🤔
YOU GUYS FINALLY MADE ANOTHER NINJALA ARTICLE! (Sorry for the ALL CAPS), I'm just really happy you guys made a new Ninjala article, as the last two Ninjala news tips I sent you guys weren't reported on, and I was worried that you guys were going to stop reporting on Ninjala for a while.
@Sunsy
Hopefully, you'll be able to jump back into Ninjala sooner rather than later.
@Enigk
What cliffhanger are you talking about? If you're talking about the Ninjala Story Mode: Chapter Two, I believe each Story Mode Chapter will leave on a cliffhanger as the first one also left on a (semi) cliffhanger. 🤔
@EmmatheBest
Like @CodyMKW said, buying the Ninjala Pass makes the cosmetics not consumable. They started doing that last season (Season 3).
I believe I sent you a response about this last time when you mentioned it, but I don't know if you ever received it.
@GetontheStiix
What makes you dislike Ninjala that much? 🤔
@AndyC_MK84 I know, but sometimes getting the physical version of an older game is harder and more expensive to get, than just getting the physical version. That being said, I do get physical games whenever I can, but I also get digital as well, when the game doesn't have a physical option or the physical version is 2 - 3 more expensive than the digital version.
@AbejaGrande Like someone else said in here, the Switch (and Wii) have both outdone the Wii U, so the Wii U services will start shutting down sooner than they will for Wii (or Switch even).
For everyone: Also, this is probably going to start happening more and more often with games (and services) on Wii U and 3DS, so if you want a certain game (or service) I would say grab it now. I'm not trying to scare anyone, I just want to warn you guys of what's to become "normal" for Wii U and 3DS stuff (IMO).
@BulbasaurusRex IIRC, I believe Redbox said they were going to stop renting out games (at least for Switch, it might be for all consoles though) permanently, as of a month (or two) ago. 🤔
@Jgruns I mean is a US-only streaming service, so it might have been cheaper for Nintendo to agree with Hulu's royalty fees and agreements.
@Discostew Okay, thanks for letting me know. IIRC, I also thought that Reggie said that the Switch was supposed to be a "gaming first" console for at least the first year.
@TheAwesomeBowser Honestly, I would expect the Wii U eShop to shut down first, and then the 3DS eShop would probably shut down a year (or two) after that.
@MasterJay I was just about to say the same thing. 🤔 I guess it's National Shutdown Day or something.
@Zequio Nintendo themselves said they want Switch to be a "gaming first" console (as opposed to the Wii U being an "everything but gaming" console, at least it was way at launch), so that's why it's taken a while for various streaming apps to arrive on Switch.
Sad to see Family Video go. I've only heard of them, but I always find it sad when a business goes out of business. 😞
I wonder how long it will be before other stores/chains that are struggling go out of business (Like Sears, AMC Theaters, etc.). 😞
@KingBowser86 Okay, it didn't seem like you sent them a contact, so I wanted to let you know. I can understand that, however if there's one gaming website you can trust to do the right thing, I would say that it's Nintendo Life. 🤔 Sorry, I didn't mean to get you riled up, I just wanted to let you know. If you keeping posting it on every article that gets published today, you'll probably be called a spammer/troller (which I know you're not either one based on your previous posts that I've seen), and will probably be reported on as well, and I don't want either thing to happen to you. 🤔
@WoomyNNYes Actually, malls have been dying even before COVID became a thing, let alone a pandemic. It's still crazy to think that stores we thought would be around forever, are starting to close down. Even movie theater chains are starting to either reduce in size or completely shut down. It's interesting to see stores that were doing "decent" before the pandemic and are on the verge of bankruptcy, yet Sears is still (somehow) surviving, even through the pandemic. Hopefully, thrift stores will start having more dress rooms (or whatever they're called) open, as more and more "big" chains are struggling to stay open.
@KingBowser86 You might just want to contact Nintendo Life via the Ideas for the Site Forum, and tell antdickens the problem you're having with the ad. 🤔 Why wouldn't you want them to know that you're having an issue with a particular ad? They should be able to fix it for you if you ask them nicely. 🤔
@Nicolai People seem to have a hard time with getting into ARMS, and I can see why. It's a good game, but I sometimes struggle with it as well. I didn't seem to have issues with getting into Ninjala (aside from the usual learning curve). 🤔 The interesting thing is that I feel that Ninjala is easier to get into than ARMS. (IMO, at least). 🤔
The thing with Zelda's voice is that I just wasn't expecting it to be a British/English accent (as I have barely played BOTW), but I've started getting used to it in Age of Calamity.
@Nicolai Thanks for replying and letting me know. Yikes, sorry to hear that you couldn't get into Ninjala or SMB 35. People have said that the tutorial for Ninjala was confusing, but I seemed to able to understand it. So I'm kind of confused as to how they find the Ninjala tutorial confusing. I found it kinda hard (at first) to get into Rocket League, but I feel like I was starting to get good at it when I started it more consistently a few months ago. Well, for SMB 35 it's supposed to be a "free for all" (to put it one way), so I'm confused as to why you would need to communicate with the other players. I'm not into survival games, but I'm having a lot of fun with SMB 35. I didn't play the fan game, but I have heard about it. Personally, I believe a 6 is an average score, but I mean everyone has their own rating system.

Re: Ninjala Has Now Been Downloaded Six Million Times On The Switch eShop
@Riderkicker
Re: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Latest Single Featured On Ninjala Advert In Japan
Ninjala articles 2 days in a row?! 🤯
That hasn't happened in a long time, Keep Them Coming. 🤔
She's been going for 10 years?! Wow, that's crazy. I actually know who Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is now, thanks to Ninjala.
Like I said in the previous Ninjala article, I'm really excited that the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu collab is coming back. I'm definitely going to get the emote this time.
Also, am I the only one who didn't know who Kyary Pamyu Pamyu was, until Ninjala? 🤔
@KateGray
THANK YOU for writing this, I really appreciate it. 🤔
You even put the dates down for the second Kyary Pamyu Pamyu collab, nice.
Re: Ninjala Has Now Been Downloaded Six Million Times On The Switch eShop
@lilibethchance
Welcome to the Ninjala family.
@Riderkicker, @OnlyItsMeReid, @thehoppypoppy, @AZD1222, @pixelpatch
I would recommend it (or give it another chance), as I have fun with it (Although, I'm one of the only few people on here that seems to enjoy Ninjala). 🤔
@boxyguy
Yeah, Season 3 was pretty big overall. I knew that they experimenting with a new S-Energy "replacement", but I somehow didn't the new parry "replacement". 🤔
@Silly_G
@Snatcher
Okay, thanks for letting me know. Those issues make sense, and I would say that they're (mostly) fixed now. 🤔
Re: Ninjala Has Now Been Downloaded Six Million Times On The Switch eShop
Awesome, Ninjala finally got to 6 Million downloads. I was thinking that 6 Million downloads was going to happen any day now, but I wasn't sure when it was going to happen.
Wait, you guys included Dev Diary #12 and the Season 4 trailer?! 🤯 That's Even More AWESOME.
@Liam_Doolan
@Snatcher
We meet again. LMAO
I didn't realize you were playing Ninjala on a semi-consistent basis, I thought you either stopped playing it or hadn't played it at all. (For some reason). Also, if you don't mind me asking, what were the issues you were having with Ninjala at launch? 🤔
@boxyguy
I feel like they've been listening to feedback from the beginning, but I personally feel that Season 3 was when things really started to become more ramped up for feedback/changes.
Also, when did they mention exploring other parry options? 🤔
I guess I must have missed this in the Dev Diary, whoops.
@JR150
Whoops).
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
I figured you wouldn't go crazy with it, but I just wanted to double-check (for some reason). 🤔
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
Okay, thanks for letting me know. That makes sense, but just don't go too crazy with posting it in other articles. 🤔
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
On okay, it's fine. I just wanted to let you know. I already posted in the Ninjala Thread a week ago. When I posted it in the Ninjala Thread, I tagged the most active Nintendo Life authors, so I don't know if I should tag them again, if I'm going to repost it into the Chit Chat Thread. 🤔
That being said, do you think I should re-tag the authors if I reposted it in The Chit Chat Thread? 🤔
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
Are you talking about Ninjala or Risk of Rain? 🤔
I think it's dumb for Nintendo Life to not write an article, even if most of the people on here aren't into the said game because at least one person (or a group of people) will appreciate the news.
I know that certain games have more of a fanbase than others, but the Nintendo Life fanbase for Ninjala is probably the smallest Nintendo Life fanbase that I've seen. 🤔
So, what should be done about it, then? I feel like I've done all I can, and I don't know what else to do at this point. 🤔
Also, thank you for listening and responding to me, I really appreciate it. 🤔
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
That's the conclusion that I've started to come to as well. 😔
Nintendo Life used to write articles about Ninjala every week (or every other week) for a while. 🤔
Actually, Among Us falls within the same gap between Ninjala articles (except maybe the gap is a bit bigger for Among Us). I hope I'm making at least some sense. 🤔
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
@Snatcher
I already did that, but thanks for the advice anyways.
Re: Innersloth Provides Update On Among Us Airship Map And Switch Bug Fixes
This is cool that Among Us that gotten popular enough that Innersloth now has a roadmap for this year.
Speaking of Dev Blogs/Dev Diaries, has anyone @NintendoLife received the news tip about the Dev Diary for Ninjala that I posted about? 🤔
I posted it in the Ninjala Forum last week, and I also sent you guys a News Tip/Press Release Contact via the Contact Us Page yesterday. 🤔
Re: Reminder: Splatoon 2's Mario-Themed Splatfest Takes Place This Weekend, Pick Your Power-Up
@TheLightSpirit
You're not the only one that's had their interest in Splatoon 2 plummet, as I haven't Splatoon 2 in months. (i.e. I haven't played in a year, in fact, yesterday was the YTD since I played Splatoon 2).
Re: Soapbox: Oh No, I Accidentally Made Animal Crossing Into A Time Capsule Of Misery
@KateGray
Speaking of jumping back into things, did you guys receive the news tips I sent you guys yesterday? 🤔
Re: Soapbox: Oh No, I Accidentally Made Animal Crossing Into A Time Capsule Of Misery
@KateGray

Re: Sega To Share "Something Special" In Its First Live Stream Of 2021
@Elvie
Well, you could technically say that Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is Sonic Boom 3. 🤔
Also, someone at Sega confirmed through an AMA (in the last few months), that there isn't anything new planned for Sonic Boom whether it's a new TV Show or a new game. (IIRC) 🤔
@SeantheDon29
That would be pretty cool and realistic for them to do, IMO, except for S06 being a part of the Sonic 3D All-Stars.
I also don't know if Sonic All-Stars Racing: Transformed will be ported to current consoles, as we already have Team Sonic Racing on current consoles, and Sega seems to keep to one Sonic Racing game per console (IIRC).
@Retro_Player_77
I was expecting them to do the monthly Sonic news, but TBF Sega (or anyone else really) wasn't expecting a pandemic to mess things up. I also believe that's why they haven't shared anything new about Sonic recently, not only because of the pandemic but they also wanted to wait until they were closer to the launch of the new Sonic game, which is something the pandemic has also messed with. 🤔
Re: Nintendo 3DS Outsold The Entire Xbox Family - Including Series X - In Japan Last Year
This doesn't surprise me at all. The Xbox Family has always sold poorly in Japan. Hopefully, the Series X/S will start to change that.
Also, is that who I think it is? 🤔🤯
If so, that's really cool that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu did ads for the 3DS. 🤔
Re: Wolfenstein Dev MachineGames Is Making An Indiana Jones Video Game
This is really cool. Hopefully, this won't be in developmental heck like Indiana Jones 5 has been in.
I trust the studio behind it, even if I don't for Wolfenstein itself.
Also, when do you guys expect this to release, and how long do you think it's been in development for? 🤔
Re: Star Wars Video Games Join Forces Under Lucasfilm Games
This explains why Disney was hiring people under the Lucasfilm Games banner a couple of years ago. They were getting ready to release the older Star Wars games, and they were gearing up for this as well. 🤔
@Grackler @TheRealMW, @Aurumonado, @FullMetalWesker, @Thundertron55
@Jan-Ake
Like others have said, LucasArts used to be called Lucasfilm Games.
@Krambo42, @brunojenso, @Scrubicius
Re: There Were Over 2 Billion Tweets About Gaming In 2020, Most Of It For Animal Crossing
@LilMuku
I wasn't sure if you were meaning that Nintendo hadn't released any new games, or games in general in 2020, which is why I made my post. 🤔
If you had put "there wasn't any new Nintendo stuff " instead of "there wasn't any Nintendo stuff", it would been more clear (IMO).
I mean, I was fine with Nintendo's lineup last year, but I know not everyone was. 🤔
I just wanted to let you know, I hope this clears up any confusion. 🤔
Re: Feature: Remembering Super Mario 3D Land, 3D World’s Oft-Forgotten Predecessor
@Giancarlothomaz
I believe there are interviews saying that's what they aiming for, but I could be wrong. 🤔
Re: Feature: Remembering Super Mario 3D Land, 3D World’s Oft-Forgotten Predecessor
@Giancarlothomaz
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know.
I think that's the point of 3D Land/3D World, is to be a mix of 2D/3D. I guess you could call 3D Land/3D World "true" 2.5D. 🤔
Re: There Were Over 2 Billion Tweets About Gaming In 2020, Most Of It For Animal Crossing
@Blooper987
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
@LilMuku
There were other Nintendo games that were released in 2020, like XC: DE, Clubhouse Games, Paper Mario: Origami King, 3D All-Stars, Mario 35, MK: Live Circuit, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, so I'm confused with your statement. 🤔
Re: There Were Over 2 Billion Tweets About Gaming In 2020, Most Of It For Animal Crossing
Nice to see Genshin Impact in the Top 10 Most Tweeted Games, even though it only came out in late September. It's also cool to see Animal Crossing as #1, even though I completely expected that.
@Blooper987
If you don't mind me asking, what are the three games that you've played from this list and are the four you've never heard of before? 🤔
@Snatcher, @Kimyonaakuma
Actually, I would consider it a slow news day if there haven't been any articles posted for 6+ hours (or 9-12 hours). 🤔
Re: Feature: Remembering Super Mario 3D Land, 3D World’s Oft-Forgotten Predecessor
@sleepinglion
Thanks.
@mr_me450
All that I'm trying to say is that, when people mention Mario games or 3DS games in general, they don't tend to bring up 3D Land.
Even before the Wii U ports started happening, people still talked about 3D World more than 3D Land. 3D World seems to have a higher attach rate, than 3D Land which is why I brought up the sales in the last part.
@Simonebelmont
Interesting, that's cool. I haven't heard many people say that. In fact, I tend to hear the opposite with 3D Land.
@Giancarlothomaz
Glad I could help you understand.
@brandonbwii
So, maybe not Praise the Sun mode, but people still do tend to praise 3D World more than 3D Land. 3D World does have a higher Metacritic and a higher user score (at least with Metacritic and here on Nintendo Life).
Re: Feature: Remembering Super Mario 3D Land, 3D World’s Oft-Forgotten Predecessor
@mr_me450, @dronesplitter, @Giancarlothomaz, @TheLightSpirit, @Snatcher, @Eddyson, @DarkTron, @SimoneBelmont, @Steel76, @sleepinglion, @lighteningbolt79, @nessisonett, @brandonbwii, and anyone else who has, or will, question 3D Land being "Forgotten"
@Steel76
I'm also with you on that (regarding the Switch port portion), even though I haven't played 3D Land.
Re: Frame Rate And Resolution For Monster Hunter Rise Demo Revealed
Something that I find interesting is that the resolution is higher in the menus than the game itself. It makes sense, as menus are generally less taxing than games in general.
I haven't seen many games do this, and I don't think there are many games that do this begin with, as far as I know.
Re: Ninjala Season 4 Has Arrived, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Enigk
Oh okay, I get it now. Haha, that's good. 🤔
Yeah, it does in the latter camp.
I get that, but I would still give it a shot, as I like it (even if I'm like one of five people that likes it on here). 🤔
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AndyC_MK84
Okay, that's good.
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AndyC_MK84

Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AndyC_MK84

Re: Netflix Is Winding Down Its Services On Wii U And 3DS
@Discostew
Oh, that's right, I remember now. Then (IIRC), there were reports after that that Netflix was wanting a higher royalty fee (or something like that) that Nintendo wasn't willing to pay. 🤔
@Kisame83
Like @Discostew mentioned, it seems to be that the problem with both companies (Netflix and Nintendo, that is). Also, I believe the first part of this post is the reason why Netflix isn't on Switch, although I don't if I'm missing anything else, regarding the whereabouts of Netflix on Switch. 🤔
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AndyC_MK84
Yeah, that's true.
Re: Ninjala Season 4 Has Arrived, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
YOU GUYS FINALLY MADE ANOTHER NINJALA ARTICLE! (Sorry for the ALL CAPS), I'm just really happy you guys made a new Ninjala article, as the last two Ninjala news tips I sent you guys weren't reported on, and I was worried that you guys were going to stop reporting on Ninjala for a while.
@Sunsy
Hopefully, you'll be able to jump back into Ninjala sooner rather than later.
@Enigk
What cliffhanger are you talking about? If you're talking about the Ninjala Story Mode: Chapter Two, I believe each Story Mode Chapter will leave on a cliffhanger as the first one also left on a (semi) cliffhanger. 🤔
@EmmatheBest
Like @CodyMKW said, buying the Ninjala Pass makes the cosmetics not consumable. They started doing that last season (Season 3).
I believe I sent you a response about this last time when you mentioned it, but I don't know if you ever received it.
@GetontheStiix
What makes you dislike Ninjala that much? 🤔
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AndyC_MK84
I know, but sometimes getting the physical version of an older game is harder and more expensive to get, than just getting the physical version.
That being said, I do get physical games whenever I can, but I also get digital as well, when the game doesn't have a physical option or the physical version is 2 - 3 more expensive than the digital version.
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Games Removed From Wii U And 3DS eShops
@AbejaGrande
Like someone else said in here, the Switch (and Wii) have both outdone the Wii U, so the Wii U services will start shutting down sooner than they will for Wii (or Switch even).
For everyone:
Also, this is probably going to start happening more and more often with games (and services) on Wii U and 3DS, so if you want a certain game (or service) I would say grab it now.
I'm not trying to scare anyone, I just want to warn you guys of what's to become "normal" for Wii U and 3DS stuff (IMO).
Re: Random: Family Video Closes Its Doors After 42 Years
@BulbasaurusRex
IIRC, I believe Redbox said they were going to stop renting out games (at least for Switch, it might be for all consoles though) permanently, as of a month (or two) ago. 🤔
Re: Netflix Is Winding Down Its Services On Wii U And 3DS
@Jgruns
I mean is a US-only streaming service, so it might have been cheaper for Nintendo to agree with Hulu's royalty fees and agreements.
@Discostew
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
IIRC, I also thought that Reggie said that the Switch was supposed to be a "gaming first" console for at least the first year.
Re: Netflix Is Winding Down Its Services On Wii U And 3DS
@TheAwesomeBowser
Honestly, I would expect the Wii U eShop to shut down first, and then the 3DS eShop would probably shut down a year (or two) after that.
Re: Netflix Is Winding Down Its Services On Wii U And 3DS
@MasterJay
I was just about to say the same thing. 🤔
I guess it's National Shutdown Day or something.
@Zequio
Nintendo themselves said they want Switch to be a "gaming first" console (as opposed to the Wii U being an "everything but gaming" console, at least it was way at launch), so that's why it's taken a while for various streaming apps to arrive on Switch.
Re: Random: Family Video Closes Its Doors After 42 Years
Sad to see Family Video go. I've only heard of them, but I always find it sad when a business goes out of business. 😞
I wonder how long it will be before other stores/chains that are struggling go out of business (Like Sears, AMC Theaters, etc.). 😞
Re: Mini Review: Professor Lupo: Ocean - A Short But Sweet Puzzle Adventure
@KingBowser86
Okay, it didn't seem like you sent them a contact, so I wanted to let you know. I can understand that, however if there's one gaming website you can trust to do the right thing, I would say that it's Nintendo Life. 🤔
Sorry, I didn't mean to get you riled up, I just wanted to let you know.
If you keeping posting it on every article that gets published today, you'll probably be called a spammer/troller (which I know you're not either one based on your previous posts that I've seen), and will probably be reported on as well, and I don't want either thing to happen to you. 🤔
Re: Fortnite Creator Epic Games Is Turning A Dying Shopping Mall Into Its New HQ
@WoomyNNYes
Actually, malls have been dying even before COVID became a thing, let alone a pandemic.
Re: Mini Review: Professor Lupo: Ocean - A Short But Sweet Puzzle Adventure
@KingBowser86
You might just want to contact Nintendo Life via the Ideas for the Site Forum, and tell antdickens the problem you're having with the ad. 🤔
Why wouldn't you want them to know that you're having an issue with a particular ad? They should be able to fix it for you if you ask them nicely. 🤔
Re: Reminder: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2020? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
@Nicolai
People seem to have a hard time with getting into ARMS, and I can see why. It's a good game, but I sometimes struggle with it as well. I didn't seem to have issues with getting into Ninjala (aside from the usual learning curve). 🤔
The interesting thing is that I feel that Ninjala is easier to get into than ARMS. (IMO, at least). 🤔
Re: Get Serious About Fun With A Nintendo Of America Internship
@CheekyZelda
I hate to say this, but I believe Pikmin 4 was supposed to Hey! Pikmin
Re: Zelda Voice Actress Patricia Summersett Speaks Out About Online Negativity And Criticism
The thing with Zelda's voice is that I just wasn't expecting it to be a British/English accent (as I have barely played BOTW), but I've started getting used to it in Age of Calamity.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2020? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
@Nicolai
Thanks for replying and letting me know.
