In fairness, I never ever thought I would see Nintendo in an apple store show casing a new Nintendo app for iOS.
I don't even know which way is up!
I'm actually looking forward to this now.I just bought myself a cracking new Android phone yesterday with huge screen and would love to play this on it.Hopefully we wont have to wait too long.
Bring it
Shigeru Miyamoto will demonstrate 1001 ways to play Super Mario Run. XD
I wonder if they'll have NES Mini for sale there?
And for anybody who ever wondered what it would look like if Nintendo ever went 3rd party, well it would look a whole lot like this actually. How many times has Miyamoto been in a store hawking games on Nintendo hardware? Maybe if he went around doing this for Wii U games it would have sold better.
@rjejr
Please, No. I don't want to play Nintendo games on Sony or Xbox. Never !
@Anti-Matter
Good thing PC exist then >:3
Let Nintendo keep making hardware. For all its problems, it still gives us jewels like the 3DS, and games that I doubt we would get if Nintendo was a third party. Or have you forgotten Sega?
At the event, I bet Bill Trinen will also be there, acting as translator for Miyamoto. He's usually more comfortable speaking in japanese when explaining games, or at least, that's what usually happens at major events like E3.
@Xaessya
PC games will never be everlasting. I mean the Internal Harddisk age. When it dies, so does the Save Data and Game system. That's why I retired completely from all PC games, despite still have a little interest with The Sims 4.
@Anti-Matter Doesn't stuff like save data etc. just get uploaded, stored and synced in the cloud these days?
@Anti-Matter So, you'd rather play them on iPod Touch? Well ok then. To each their own I guess.
@CB85
Ah, forget it. Have lost my interest with all PC games. Besides, i'm not looking for Ultra HD realistic games like PC. Instead, i'm looking for Cartoonish.
@rjejr
No. Not even mobile. I quit from PC games, indulge myself with tons of Nintendo games, not interested with PC games anymore nor even interested to use Cloud or Steam methods. My gaming taste are really specific, unlike common gamers.
I wish he showed off mariokart 9, 3D Mario and Mario maker for PlayStation 4
Miyamoto-san is one of those rare visionaries that can change the course of an industry. He's like Steve Jobs was to Apple. I wonder how much longer we will have him around and what will become of the big N once the genius isn't able to shine his brilliance?
I'll probably play Super Mario Run just out of tribute to the man.
@Anti-Matter 'not interested with PC games anymore nor even interested to use Cloud or Steam methods. My gaming taste are really specific, unlike common gamers'
Well, la dee da!
@Anti-Matter
All storage mediums fail/die eventually. Nintendo hardware is not spared from that.
And if you wanted cartoonish games, PC is chock full of that. The modern fool believes that PC gaming only equates to the console ports it receives when in fact PC gaming so, so much more. Windows has the biggest library of games. Ever. Nothing else comes close or will ever come close. So you're not limited to just dark, gritty, "hyper realistic" games.
@AVahne
Yeah, I know there are also Cartonish games on PC like MySims, Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, etc. But I decided to quit, not interested with PC games anymore, choose Nintendo for entire my life.
@Anti-Matter that's so beautiful. Like a marriage bond.
Hopefully they set up a prop toilet so Miyamoto can demonstrate how easy it is to play Super Mario Go with the runs
I would love to be able to go to have the chance to see Miyamoto-hekka in person. Why do I have to be a responsible adult?
Nintendo is a company that has such a rich history but refuses to move forward. This is a great step to get their foot into the door of maybe actually making money. I think their future will have to invole going Third Party is they want to stay relevant. After watching the Playstation Experience tonight there is just no way the Switch can compete. No amount of Mario Kart or Zelda will change that. I would love to play Breath of the Wild but spending another $300 just to play a handful of games isn't happening and I am surely not alone. There is so much coming out for Sony that I just don't see a way for Nintendo to do any better than the WiiU. Can you imagine Pokémon on more powerful hardware? Well Nintendo sure can't. And there is the issue, outdated hardware running amazing games. All the money in the world won't save the company from becoming stale to the public if they continue down their current path. My two kids (11 & 13) are tired of Mario and are constantly amazed at what they get from Sony. I don't want for Nintendo to die out but their management stinks. I wish them the best and will continue to follow them but have no interest in spending money on them outside of a few 3DS games. In addition their account system is still broke in 2016. $199 Switch with a fixed account system and I would buy, otherwise I'll wait for a year and see how it goes, 2017 has way too many PS4 games I plan to play.
