Re: Switch's Second Year Will Be "Crucial" Says Nintendo President

@Nomad @Bolt_Strike I find it amusing that people are all worried and like "The mini direct wasn't good enough!" or thinking that because the first announcement consisted of remasters, Indies, and a new Mario sports title that this heralds the destruction of the switch and the end of all hope for this year lol. Afaik, we have a full scale actual fire emblem game coming, potential for Metroid Prime 4, and whatever else they have up their sleeves. Not to mention it was a mini direct. ~`°•MINI•°`~ direct! If the mini had a full blown new Mario title, brings a revolutionary title in remaster form that has never been available on Nintendo consoles, and announces like 7 other games, just what on earth or heaven is going to be in the coming direct??? 20 days is the longest they've waited between minis and their respective full directs for starters, so to expect a full scale direct within the next month after that info is mind boggling for me.

More games are coming, and Nintendo is gonna blow our socks off again and again. But the biggest thing about them: it'll be on their time, not ours.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE He's probably referring to the complaints regarding the recent mini direct. I know there were at least a couple Nintendo content creators and a good few fans that didn't like how the direct's release was handled. By the time you knew the direct was up, they already had all the major games on display, and the magic of any reveal was essentially ruined. I could be wrong though. They could theoretically rework directs into something else.

Re: Review: Rocket League (Switch eShop)

I would agree with the score you guys gave it, but coming from playing on PC and Xbone, and understanding the switch's hardware restrictions, I have to give this game 10/10. Even with daunting hardware restrictions, Panic Button! has rocked this port, and truly kept the full gameplay experience intact.
Also @JRJalapeno, Rocket League is not a single player game. If you intend to play predominantly offline by yourself, I would say skip it.

Re: Crazy Justice Aims to Bring 'Battle Royale' Action to the Nintendo Switch

I really hope this goes well...
It looks like a game I could really enjoy, but that all depends on the depth and scale of the game. Like if I've unlocked everything by the time I got 20 hours, or if the game maps are too small for sniping/long range combat, I can't see myself being able to get into it. The switch could definitely use more shooters though, that's for sure.
I guess we'll see.

Re: Talking Point: Capcom, the Nintendo Switch and Gaming Business Realities

Meh. I'm already considering picking up an xbone so I can play with a friend that's moving away, and I have a decent PC. If world ends up being good, I'll probably get it, but that doesn't mean I'm not a little miffed about the Switch's exclusion. My brother would have bought a Switch if MHW or MHXX were released on it, and I imagine that'd be the case for a LOT more people, so I'm questioning the solidity of Cappy's choice. Regardless, I'm not too interested in seeing ports of old games come to the Switch. There are select games, such as Rocket League, that I am/would be happy to see come to the console, but I'm looking primarily for new releases. Meh resident evil, meh megaman, give me something new to experience.

Re: HyperX Announces Smash Bros., ARMS And Street Fighter eSports Event

@Menchi187 You really have no idea, do you? I've played smash casually for years, and I've been to professional level events, and spoken with some excellent melee players. Melee has the highest skillcap I've ever seen in a fighting game, due to the fact that the game can receive input faster than is possible for humans to achieve. Not to mention the constantly evolving damage stat that completely changes combos. Regardless of how many uninformed people scoff at it, melee deserves it's spot in competitive gaming.

Re: Feature: Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - What We Know So Far...

Ledgendt

Yay, $40 DLC packaged as a full game reusing all the assets from the oroginallllll...

Maybe it'll work. Majora's Mask was great. My bet is it won't be worth crap. If they can release this ultra stuff soon, imo they should have just waited and included it in Sun and Moon. Right now, I feel like I wasted my money on S&M due to the lack of stuff to do, and I sure as heck am not gonna be reinvesting in full price dlc to flesh out their lacking world.

Personal opinion.

Re: Nintendo Details How Voice Chat And Multiplayer Lobbies Work In Splatoon 2

Ledgendt

@Captain_Gonru I can see a few benefits. 1, extended battery life on Switch.
2, party organization without having to turn on your console.
3, less latency (not sure if this is a legitimate possibility)
4, text chat without having to type with your controller (I'm looking at you xbone)
5, higher quality service.
All in all, I really like what I'm hearing about the online chat features.
